Put your boat or PWC right in the water at the boat drop just steps away from the front door! Our neighborhood includes its own private beach, this idyllic retreat promises an unforgettable vacation. Bring your family, bring your friends, bring your boat, and enjoy our Quintessential Lake Cottage!

Enjoy Memorial Day, Bike Week, July 4th, Veteran's Day, or a concert at Bank of NH Pavilion! Ask your host about the wonderful restaurants. We are only 1.5 miles away from Ellacoya Barn and Grill, a local fan favorite with an incredible ambiance and friendly staff. Take a drive to Foster’s Tavern (7.8 miles) along the extremely scenic, Mt Major Highway! Go for a hike at Mount Major Trail, just a few minute drive from the cottage. Start a fire in our, one-of-a-kind, fire-pit and private back yard! Lay down and relax under the stars on our cozy hammock. Ask about our paddle board and kayak. Play some can-jam or ring toss and enjoy all the amenities included with our home. Do you prefer gas or charcoal grills? We have both! Come inside our cozy home to cook a nice meal in the kitchen or just kick your feet up and relax. Gas stove, oven, refrigerator, freezer, air fryer, keurig, pots, pans, plate-ware, glassware, are all available to you.

In the winter, enjoy all that Alton Bay offers with skiing at nearby Gunstock Mountain! It's only 6 miles away! Ice fishing is also popular in town and you can drive to see the planes landing on Alton Bay in the winter. It is picturesque in every season. Enjoy your stay! :-)

Wonderful Stay!

We had a wonderful stay. The home was very clean and well stocked. The outdoor area was perfect for grilling and eating. The surroundings are quiet and relaxing. There is fire pit which was great for S'mores. It is a short walk to the private beach. The water was excellent - we enjoyed paddle boarding and swimming.

sweet cottage

we had a really nice couple of nights at the lakeside cottage. we used it as homebase for visiting some family, friends and college visits. the yard and fire pit made the property for us, only being there in the evenings. thank you for a lovely stay!

The property was nicely located and accessible to where we wanted to go. It is a semiprivate location with plenty of space for us and our dog. Nick was great with communication. The weekend was fabulous and relaxing. We would love to come back.

Cozy cabin perfect for families

We loved our stay at Nick and Tayla’s place! We were two families totaling 4 adults and 2 toddlers - their place was perfect for us especially with the private beach access and all the bonus amenities like the toys/books, paddleboard, life jackets and beach gear. Location was great too, being close to hikes and not too far from town if we wanted to grab something/eat out. Nick was also super communicative and helpful.

Amazing time!

My boyfriend and I were looking for a quiet getaway to enjoy some time together. This cottage was absolutely perfect for some quiet time together! Nick and Tayla were very kind and accommodating, giving us recommendations on places to go and things to see! We can't wait to come back!

ADORABLE Cottage on Lake Winnipesaukee

We couldn’t have been happier when we arrived at this beautiful sweet cottage! So many personal touches and so clean! Nick was great from the time we booked and readily available throughout our stay. We are already talking about booking again next year! You won’t be disappointed, we loved the area and this was the perfect place to stay- secluded yet convenient to stores and restaurants! This was the only two bedroom place we could find for adult friends where both bedrooms had queen beds- not twins or bunks. No complaints, we loved our stay!

A peaceful & relaxing respite situated in a prime location!

My boyfriend & I our rented this lovely, well-appointed cottage Memorial Day weekend and found all aspects of our stay to be outstanding. We were looking for a low-key getaway where we could unwind with our 2 small dogs and enjoy the lake and mountain scenery. The property is nestled in a nice neighborhood only a short walk to the water and the cottage itself was pristine and well-appointed. The hosts were kind enough to welcome us with treats along with a super helpful guide that contained everything we needed to know about the cottage as well as great local recommendations that did not disappoint. Communication could not have been better, the hosts were proactive, responsive and incredibly accommodating- even allowing us to extend checkout on our last day so that we could enjoy the great weather and people-watching at Weirs Beach without having to rush. Highly recommend and would absolutely stay here again!

This Winnie Gem was the perfect getaway for our family!

We had an amazing stay with our family of 5 and our dog at this quaint cottage. The property exceeded our expectations and the calm, serene atmosphere brought solace to our souls. It was an incredible place to connect more deeply as a family and dial back our typically very busy life. Located in a lovely, quiet neighborhood with direct private beach access was so wonderful! All the amenities and personal touches rank this at the top of the list of all of the VRBO’s we’ve frequented (and it’s a lot). Additionally, Nick was the most proactive, attentive and responsive host we could have possibly wanted. Genuinely helpful with every question, guiding us before and during our stay, and incredibly understanding and accommodating when a family emergency upended our trip. We are so grateful for the time we spent at this gem and we will absolutely be back!
