Visit Gethles, the most beautiful part of Schleusingen, on the southern slopes of the Thuringian Forest. Schleusingen—where you can enjoy a vacation in a peaceful, wooded setting, surrounded by pristine nature and friendly people, and savor Thuringian cuisine. You can set out directly from your apartment onto bike paths and hiking trails to enjoy the beauty of the varied landscape, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and wander through the Thuringian Forest. In addition, for cyclists, there are many regional and national cycling routes in the nearby Rennsteig area. Visit places such as Such as Berthold Castle in Schleusingen, the historic Vessra Monastery, the Oberhof and Schmiedefeld ski resorts, and the towns of Suhl, Meiningen, Hildburghausen, and Coburg. In winter, sledding is available right outside the apartment. Cross-country and downhill ski trails are just a few minutes’ drive away.
