Water front on the Netarts Bay. The spacious apartment with a patio and sea views has 2 bedrooms, a living room, a flat-screen TV, an equipped kitchen with an oven and a microwave, and 2 bathrooms with a walk-in shower. Towels and bed linen are offered in the apartment. For added privacy, the accommodation features a private entrance. There is a sofa Sleeper in the living room. New carpet, windows and siding.
The bay and Pacific Ocean are right out the door. Footpath to the water is just a few steps away. We have a quiet sitting area with Adirondack chairs to sit and watch the ocean.

Fishing and hiking are possible within the area, and the apartment offers a private beach area.

The nearest airport is Portland International Airport, 140 km from Sand Piper. Local adventures like the Tillamook, Cheese Factory and the Cape mirrors lighthouse are both approximately 10 minutes away.

The location and view were phenomenal! Plenty of places to sit outside and enjoy the scenery. The unit was very clean and the main living area was updated and had everything necessary for a vacation. The bedrooms are simple and a little outdated, however, the bed's were very comfortable and the price was fantastic. Would stay their again.

This property was comfortable and had a million dollar view! The beach was just down some steps and my family all had enough room to spread out and relax. Plus the WiFi supported our streaming and Internet needs.

There was a slight snag with our stay. Heather was very responsive and we are quite satisfied with her as a host. The property itself had beautiful views and easy access to the beach. Sidenote, if you’re on the tall side the ceiling is a little low. We were all under 6ft so had no problem.

The view was great as was the general location. The house was quite old and heating/cooling was poor. Unfinished threshold in main bath was dangerous, I almost broke a toe. No tables (end, coffee) in the living room. No night stand in the second bedroom. There was about a third of a roll of paper towels and no back up supply when we ran out, only three coffee cups, a very large liqud laundry detergent container on the shelf above the washer - bone dry. The lint in the dryer trap was about an inch thick and a fire hazard. Windex bottle under the sink was empty. Over all the place technically clean, but not comfortable. We won't be staying again.

Amazing location, unit was clean and according, picture perfect views, beach access. Started out sad with snow and a potential ice storm, keeping us from our weekend, luckily the amazing on site property manager was able to shift our days:)

The property was a dump, looked like a partially renovated basement apartment an 18 year old might live in. Musty smelling, no window covering on master bathroom (at street/eye level SO it was an issue). It needs a lot of work. One of the plugs in the master bedroom gave sparks when we tried to use it. We left early and found another place. No idea how it got some 8/10 ratings.

Can't Beat the View, but....

Great value and spectacular view of the bay. However, place itself is just okay and on the modest side. They could use an updated mattress in one of the bedrooms - ours was too soft to the point of being uncomfortable.

The place was huge!! Comfortable and roomy. The toilet was plugged. Literally full of poop! Very stinky.... Apparently no one comes in to check things out, after the last people leave? I notified the owner/manager but never heard back until after we had left. We had too many people to only have one bathroom. I was forced and obligated to clean up after the last people. Not fun!!! Ugh!

Clean, great ocean view. Space has alot of unfinished details like no trim in places that leaves the walls open, windows that have been replace but walls around it werent finished, etc. The manager that lives above the space has a dog that runs back and forth and for someone that knows there is a rental space below them has some heavy feet. Parking is strange, the carport is pretty small so use the space directly in front of the unit so a tenant in the building next door doesn't block your view. The kitchen has the barest of essentials, including the silverware so bring anything you are going to need or buy it when you arrive. The stairs to the beach are about 150ft long and pretty steep in spots but there is direct access. Good value for the dollar.

It’s not the Hilton, but neither was the price!It’s an old place, with ongoing DIY fixer uppers happening, such as the finishes on the new windows, electrical outlets, etc. The furnishings are adequate but seemed like from a used furniture store. Bedding sheets were not to my liking, not cotton, seemed polyester on both beds. Aside from above, I did enjoy my stay at the Sandpiper, the views from a virtual wall of windows was phenomenal, made my stay there worth every cent it cost me!!I did not need to contact the manager at all, as directions to and access to the rental were clearly stated in correspondence before arrival.The rental is very room overall, except for the bathrooms & 2nd bedroom. The living room, kitchen, “dining” area and bonus “bar room” were very spacious. Just know the place is a throwback to the 60’s & 70’s, reminded me of cabins I stayed at in my youth. Would I rent this place again…..yep!

Great location

This place and the location were AMAZING!! The communication was awesome too, super easy! Problems were communicated well and fixed in a timely manner. The house itself has low ceilings so if you’re above 6” foot, you kinda have to duck the whole time but it’s still super nice! Clean and an older complex so a few bugs here and there but that’s okay! The listing says there’s a hot tub which was my incentive for booking along with price- but there is no hot tub! That should be fixed now though! It is beach front with beach access and this beach is campfire safe! we stayed next to families with dogs and children and it felt pretty safe! The TV, kitchen, beds, and bathrooms were all awesome! Beautiful views! Highly recommend.

The Sandpiper is what I would describe as "beach rustic". It was a run down property that has parts being upgraded. For example, the flooring is new and the new windows provide a clear and expansive view of the ocean. So it's a mix of brand new and old. It's in a location that doesn't get much foot or vehicle traffic so it feels private. The unit is ground level and we had the blinds open and no one ever walked by. Being able to park next to the sliding door made it easy to unload and load. Everything worked and the space was clean. Instructions were clear and the experience was a pleasant one.

Conditions

Location was great. Beds and living room furniture were comfortable. Property a bit run down and had areas with unfinished drywall. Front door lock a nightmare. Needs to be addressed. Was not provided adequate instructions on entering the building although property manager responded quickly. The large window in the dining area does not lock. Because of exposure to the location, we did not feel secure. No fans which are needed because you can’t leave windows open (no window in one bedroom) due to location.
