Welcome to our charming 1940's cottage located in Newport’s historic Point District! This delightful home is perfect for both families and their furry friends. Pets stay free, with no additional pet fees, and all breeds and weights are welcome. Woof-:)
Step into the inviting living room, where a decorative non-working fireplace adds a touch of charm. Above it, you'll find a 42-inch flat-screen TV, perfect for cozy movie nights. Both bedrooms are equipped with its own TV and built-in DVD player, ensuring everyone has their own entertainment space. All TVs come with Roku live TV channels, and the high-speed internet and WiFi are ready for all your favorite streaming services. For music lovers, there's a Bose iPod docking station for high-quality listening.
The large, fenced in front and backyard is ideal for both family gatherings and pets to play. Enjoy a night out on the town while leaving your pets in a comfortable home away from home.. Located just two blocks from the water and a waterfront dog park, this cottage offers easy access to a boat ramp and is a short walk to Newport's fabulous restaurants and shops. The cottage is located in the historic point area with some of the best views. A quiet neighborhood, you're just minutes away from all the fun and excitement Newport has to offer. Wonderful Dog Friendly Stay

We had an amazing time visiting Newport and this home was a perfect place for us to stay with our two pups. The fenced in back and front yards kept our dogs safe and happy, the house was clean and well kept, the hosts were communicative about all we needed to know, and the location was quiet and peaceful while still being a convenient walking distance to the fun hustle and bustle of Bowens Wharf/Thames/Etc. We would easily recommend to anyone!

Weekend Getaway

Quick stay, perfect location

Brought my pup for a 3 night stay and it was great. Fenced in yard, prime location to downtown 👍. Only had to drive to beach which was a quick drive.

Cute house in great location

We loved the cottage and neighborhood. We brought our little dog so the fenced in yard was perfect. We couldn't have picked a better spot for our end of summer getaway in beautiful Newport!

Fun little cottage & dog friendly!

This little cottage was lovely. Great location , lovely yard for our pup & a great neighborhood! It had everything we needed (minus washer/dryer)! Overall, a great place to stay on your trip to Newport!

Great Location!!!

Quaint cottage just a short walk to downtown Newport, but far enough away to be able to enjoy some peace and quiet. Fenced yard is a huge plus for those traveling with dogs.

Wedding weekend

Our host was incredible. They were very informative and responsive. Their home was clean, and welcoming. My now husband and I stayed at this property in Aug of 2024 while celebrating our wedding and it was the perfect place to decompress before and after our wedding day. We are planning on coming back to this property every year to celebrate our anniversary and brining our dog! Please stay here!

Perfect vacation spot!

This is an awesome cottage in the charming historic district! The location was great! Walking distance to downtown and all the beautiful spots along the way! Our host was very attentive & responsive. The cottage was very clean and well maintained. The fenced in yard was a huge bonus for our fur babies! We will definitely go back!!

Easy Breezy Newport

Walk to waterfront park - walk to downtown for sightseeing. If you like to walk this is a tremendous choice. As others have said - most excellent for pups and the people that care for them.

Another wonderful long weekend

We love this cottage with its large fenced in backyard . We travel with dogs and the yard is just fantastic. This is our 3rd time staying here and we look forward to many more visits. Very comfortable and walking distance to downtown Newport. Owner is very responsive and hands on.

Weekend in Newport

Was a lovely weekend with our 70 pound pup, and 2 year old son. The location is amazing, 10 minute walk to downtown meant the street was nice and quiet for sleeping kiddos, and easy to walk into the bustle of town. Kathy was helpful and gave some good pointers on things to do! Would recommend!

Geeat yard for pets. Location was great close to the action on a quaint street close to the water. Placement of Toilet was funky. Dirt build up in corners of rooms and especially around tub. One of the mattresses was very old you would sink to the middle could not access tv or internet

Location was outstanding—walkability to downtown was excellent. Could also walk to a small park that’s on the water, however, you can’t walk down near the water but beautiful scenery to enjoy! For improvements: Maybe newer/more comfortable couch and the ability to open windows. A little disappointing that I couldn’t open the windows for fresh air….sone people may not care but….overall house had great character and was very quaint!❤️

Wonderful long weekend near the water

We loved this cottage! It was charming and exactly as advertised. The location was perfect for a short walk to the water to sit on a park bench and watch the sunset. We also took a longer walk to the shops and restaurants in Newport. Just a short drive or trolley ride up to the mansions and the Cliff walk which is a must- simply gorgeous! Our dogs loved the nearby park and the fenced in backyard. Kathy was so wonderful to work with and answered all our questions promptly. We’d definitely stay here again.

Nice cottage

The location is great and the backyard for our pup was a bonus… some stuff should have been addressed before we arrived… family member may sleep in the garage, which is attached to the house through a breezeway which you walk through to go in the back yard. Showed up around 10:15 pm and started all of us, when initially we were told the night before someone (husband) may stop in around 1:00 pm to park in the driveway ( maybe getting something in the garage) we thought that was odd…it is an older cottage with nice charm could use a little upkeep on some stuff… its a rental. Overall the spot is great and slept comfortably and in a great neighbourhood!

Very nice

Old house, but everything was very clean. I chose this property because it had a fenced in yard for my dog. My one complaint is not being able to use the breezeway door. That would be much more convenient than having to go around to the front.

Cute and convenient

Perfect spot for 3 people and dogs. The little house is exactly as portrayed in the listing. So amazing to have a fully fenced back yard for the pups plus the extra protection out the front door with a fence in front too. The side door into the breezeway sticks in the winter so couldn't be used. That would have been handy. Kitchen was well equipped but note that there is not a full freezer when planning your shopping. Beds were soft for my taste but not terrible. Couldn't really imagine a better spot if you have dogs and want to visit Newport.
