Welcome to our charming 1940's cottage located in Newport’s historic Point District! This delightful home is perfect for both families and their furry friends.

Pets stay free, with no additional pet fees, and all breeds and weights are welcome. Woof-:)

Step into the inviting living room, where a decorative non-working fireplace adds a touch of charm. Above it, you'll find a 42-inch flat-screen TV, perfect for cozy movie nights.

Bedrooms are equipped with its own TV and built-in DVD player, ensuring everyone has their own entertainment space. All TVs come with Roku live TV channels, and high-speed internet and WiFi are ready for all your favorite streaming services.

The large, fenced in front and backyard is ideal for both family gatherings and pets to play.

Enjoy a night out on the town while leaving your pets in a comfortable home away from home..

Located just two blocks from Battery Park. The park has some of the best views in Newport, Goat Island and the Newport bridge. Battery park is popular on the point for sunset watching over the bay and a great place to walk your dog. This cottage also offers a short easy walk to Newport's fabulous restaurants and shops.

A quiet neighborhood, located in downtown Newport, for all the fun and excitement Newport has to offer.

Take a walk to swim off Van Zandt pier, stroll along the seafront with your pet, or simply enjoy the rich history of Newport, RI.

We had a great stay at Point Cottage. It was a perfect haven for my husband and me and our dogs. It’s in an adorable and quiet neighborhood less than a mile walk north of downtown, so quite convenient. The large fenced in backyard was clutch. The house is cozy and true to New England style. Our host Kathy was super accommodating and responsive. Can’t wait to stay here again!

Great yard for dogs, great neighborhood. House is post WW2 and on the smaller size so taller people may have less room, but the host has taken pains to make everything comfortable.

Location, location, location is the key to this property! If you have a pet and want to enjoy your stay with being close to EVERYTHING then this is the place. My Lily felt extremely comfortable and we were literally 6 mins from everything! Neighbors even welcomed us to the area. Cottage is quaint and comfortable. Water pressure was amazing! Nice sized fenced in yard which our pet fully enjoyed- she made friends with the next door doggie. Many historic homes all within walking distance.. one block away from the water and a dog park. We will definitely return.

The Point Cottage provides an authentic, local experience and is ideally situated to provide walking access to all that Newport offers.
After dinner and festivities each evening at the wharves, we walked home to Third Street.

Great location, a short walk to dog friendly parks and a beautiful waterfront view. Very nice yard for the dogs. Host was very communicative prior to stay and during check in. Would highly recommend if you are traveling with pets.

Wonderful home

Wonderful Dog Friendly Stay

We had an amazing time visiting Newport and this home was a perfect place for us to stay with our two pups. The fenced in back and front yards kept our dogs safe and happy, the house was clean and well kept, the hosts were communicative about all we needed to know, and the location was quiet and peaceful while still being a convenient walking distance to the fun hustle and bustle of Bowens Wharf/Thames/Etc. We would easily recommend to anyone!

Geeat yard for pets. Location was great close to the action on a quaint street close to the water. Placement of Toilet was funky. Dirt build up in corners of rooms and especially around tub. One of the mattresses was very old you would sink to the middle could not access tv or internet

Location was outstanding—walkability to downtown was excellent. Could also walk to a small park that’s on the water, however, you can’t walk down near the water but beautiful scenery to enjoy! For improvements: Maybe newer/more comfortable couch and the ability to open windows. A little disappointing that I couldn’t open the windows for fresh air….sone people may not care but….overall house had great character and was very quaint!❤️

Quick stay, perfect location

Brought my pup for a 3 night stay and it was great. Fenced in yard, prime location to downtown 👍. Only had to drive to beach which was a quick drive.

Wedding weekend

Our host was incredible. They were very informative and responsive. Their home was clean, and welcoming. My now husband and I stayed at this property in Aug of 2024 while celebrating our wedding and it was the perfect place to decompress before and after our wedding day. We are planning on coming back to this property every year to celebrate our anniversary and brining our dog! Please stay here!

Cute house in great location

We loved the cottage and neighborhood. We brought our little dog so the fenced in yard was perfect. We couldn't have picked a better spot for our end of summer getaway in beautiful Newport!

Nice cottage

The location is great and the backyard for our pup was a bonus… some stuff should have been addressed before we arrived… family member may sleep in the garage, which is attached to the house through a breezeway which you walk through to go in the back yard. Showed up around 10:15 pm and started all of us, when initially we were told the night before someone (husband) may stop in around 1:00 pm to park in the driveway ( maybe getting something in the garage) we thought that was odd…it is an older cottage with nice charm could use a little upkeep on some stuff… its a rental. Overall the spot is great and slept comfortably and in a great neighbourhood!

Lovely Location, you can walk to the mansions!

My husband and I stayed and this lovely cottage a few weeks ago when we planned to do the mansion tours. What drew me to this cottage, other than the lovely look of it, was the fencing around the entire property. My husband and I have four dogs, so a fence is important. I loved the fact that the owner did not have an issue with multiple dogs. Not only is there a large back yard with fencing that allows the dogs to run around, but there's a chest high pickett fence in the front where the dogs can be let out easily. The house is lovely with two bedroom, with ceiling fans, as well as a ceiling fan in the livings room, which made it very comfortable if you didn't want to have the AC on. There's a TV in both bedrooms as well as the living room, and there's also a lovely little enclosed porch with a dining table that opens onto the back yard. The water is a very short walk from the house, and if you're a fan of history, there are so many charming historic houses in the neighborhood. Even better is that the cottage is a short walk from Bowen's Wharf and lots of shopping, if you're open to a bit more of a walk (not far really) you can walk to all of the mansions on Bellvue. There is a Walmart, a grocery stor and a Dunkin Donuts just down the road, so really, all of your needs will be met. We had a wonderful time here, and would definitely stay here again if we are in Newport. Enjoy your stay!

great location

Host very accommodating. Two blocks from water for a great walk. Great area close to all shopping, restaurants, and sightseeing. Pet friendly with a huge, fenced in yard. Highly recommend.
