Lovely Large Bungalow in Great , Secure Subdivision

Raphael was the most troublesome guest we have ever had stay at our house in over 10 years of renting it on various platforms. Specifically: 1. He requested that a coffee machine and umbrella be provided. This was done. 2. On arrival, he inspected the house closely and started making disparaging remarks. 3. After two nights he called our agent and myself complaining he wanted his money back and intended to move. He said the house was not ‘as described’ and that “the photos were just photos “. It became clear that he wanted a refund for the balance of his stay. He was referred to the VRBO contract but - to maintain the peace - a cash refund of one night rental was agreed. This was paid by our agent in cash. 4. Raphael left to go to his new accommodation but returned within one hour. The new accommodation apparently did not meet his standards. Reluctantly, he was allowed to return as he had paid for a longer stay. 5. He initially refused to the rent that had been returned to him complaining that the kitchen utensils were old and that there were cockroaches. The kitchen utensils are not new but have been meticulously cleaned and in 12 years living and renting the house cockroaches have never been seen. 7. Eventually, the days rental owed was returned to our agent. 8 Raphael’s manner to our agent and myself is best described as bullying and overbearing. 9. I would prefer to walk over broken glass than to have Raphael as a guest again.
