The Cottage more closely resembles a studio apartment or efficiency unit - with higher end amenities!

HOME TRUTHS

- The home is on well water and septic system. Please don’t put coffee grounds, grease, or harsh chemicals down the drain.

- Well water may taste or smell differently than you're used to, but it is safe.



Guest Access:

Guest house has its own parking pad. Please note the property is shared with the Main House, which may also be rented during your stay.



The Neighborhood:

Located in a rural area, the Cottage is located 1/2 mile to Round Top, though you will need a vehicle to drive into town (unless you're feeling super ambitious!). On the same property, about 200 feet away, is the Main House which may be rented to other guests during your stay. The nearest neighbor is across the fence, but the Cottage has plenty of space and nearby trees to make this feel like a secluded getaway!



Being a rural area, there are no sidewalks that connect the property to Round Top city limits.



Getting Around:

You'll need a vehicle to get from the home into Round Top and the surrounding area. Consider renting HOSTIE's chauffeured luxury sprinter van during your stay. Ride sharing apps, like Uber/Lyft, aren't available in this rural area.



Other Things to Note:

-Pre-arrival form & rental agreement: we do ask for a copy of your ID as part of our guest screening process after the reservation is confirmed. You will also be asked to sign a rental agreement.



- When you stay with HOSTÎE Vacation Rentals, you are covered for any accidents that might happen up to $3000 with the added fee of $59 in your total. Coverage details are spelled out in your rental agreement. This is applied to all bookings.



- CANCELLATION POLICY: The initial deposit is fully refundable up to 30 days prior to your stay, less a 6% processing fee. No refunds for cancellations made within 30 days of check-in, except for spring/fall/winter antique show dates, no refunds for cancellations made within 60 days of check-in. The cancellation policy will be upheld, no exceptions. All guests are encouraged to purchase trip insurance.



- Property is not a working farm with animals. It is a quiet and peaceful retreat close to town happenings.

- Please note that sightings of common insects or wildlife (such as skunks, snakes, scorpions, spiders, flies, wasps, mice, ants, etc.) do not qualify for refunds, as occasional encounters are possible in any rural environment.
