This was a wonderful place to stay for our annual ladies' trip to Minocqua and Winter Park. The beds were comfortable; the kitchen was fully stocked with dishes and appliances; and the living and dining rooms were great social spaces for our group to catch up and relax. The cabin is near two grocery stores and several great restaurants and bars. And only 20 minutes from Winter Park, the best place to cross-country ski and snow show in the North Woods. I will definitely be returning to this cabin.

We all really loved the property! Very welcoming, close to town. We even caught fish off the dock. I would definitely plan on staying there again and exploring all that minoqua has to offer.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful!

The property and cabin are exactly as described and beautiful! We had a great time fishing and enjoying being outdoors! Even got a picture of a buck in the woods near the dock early one morning. We canā€™t wait to go back for another vacation there!

The cottage was extremely cute and well kept. The outdoors are absolutely stunning. Great place to walk around even in the winter. Also very close to restaurants and bars and snowmobile trails!

Great Cabin

We had a great stay at this property! (4 adults and 2 children) The house was clean and cozy. Everything was in great shape and felt even bigger than the pictures. The walk down to the dock is magical, and we loved taking the canoe around the lake. We had deer in the yard every day, and the location is conveniently located close (but not too close) to everything.Would definitely stay here again!

Cozy and Peaceful Northwoods Getaway

We had a wonderful stay! The location is idealā€”peaceful and surrounded by nature, yet just a short drive to downtown Minocqua. The cabin is cozy, clean, and well-maintained, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The screened porch was a major plusā€”we loved sitting out there enjoying the sounds of nature without any bugs.Kayaking on the lake was a highlight, and evenings by the firepit were the perfect way to wind down and take in the quiet, wooded surroundings. It truly felt like a peaceful escape!The hosts were responsive and made sure everything went smoothly. Charming and cozy cabin was a joy!

This charming and cozy cabin was a joy to rent for the weekend! The pine interior was stunning, with an open staircase and vaulted ceiling. The master bed was quite comfortable, extra pillows and blankets were easy to find. The view of the lake was picturesque and did not disappoint. The dock and the wooden boardwalk were well maintained. We enjoyed the outdoor firepit and the indoor fireplace. Dry firewood and other items were provided. We highly recommend this cabin!

Welcome to the Green Heron Cabin. I spent my childhood taking summer trips to the Northwoods, and to this day treasure the relaxation and family time experienced when I am together with my family at the Green Heron Cabin. We often find that we donā€™t leave the property for days on end because we personally find it so enjoyable to enjoy leisurely days together - cooking and sharing meals on the screen porch, playing board games or putting together puzzles, relaxing on the dock or going for a paddle around the lake, lounging in the hammock or reading a book on the deck, or stargazing around a crackling fire in the backyard. I love to take my dog, Winnie, out for a paddle with me. We often see turtles, fish, loons, eagles, woodpeckers, green herons, and little black squirrels around the lake!

The Northwoods is an absolutely magical place, and I am so glad to be able to offer our charming Minocqua home to others to be able to make memories and experience that magic, too.
