Step back in time, and let your Lake Boon adventure begin at this lovely 900 square foot, 2-bedroom cottage. This1920's vintage structure is lovingly cared for by members of the fourth and fifth generation of the Parker Cottages of Lake Boon hosts, you'll find rustic perfection when you tour your accommodations. You'll approach the cottages via a dirt road that meanders through mixed deciduous and evergreen forest, then wind your way along a dirt drive. You'll find Cottage #3 amid six Parker cottages that are nestled in an open, wooded area aside Lake Boon.

The cottage features a cozy queen bed and comfortable twin beds, ensuring a pleasant stay for everyone. Each room has large screen windows, as well as, portable fans, which allow a wonderful flow of air to travel throughout the rooms.
Enjoy downtime sitting on the fully screened porch, and listen to the summer activity around the lake.
There's a large living room / dining area, from which each bedroom can be accessed. A functioning, center chimney fireplace in the living room can be a good gathering spot on the chilly nights. Wood for the fireplace is supplied in a woodshed behind the cottage. Enjoy preparing your meals with all the furnishings of a well appointed vintage kitchen. Open shelving with colorful dishware is the centerpiece.

Steps away from the lake shore, this cottage has its own dock, which sits in sandy bottomed water. The gradual increase in depth allows young ones to safely play in the water, while the older fun lovers can jump off the end of the dock and not touch bottom!

Parker Cottages is a family gathering place, and is suitable for all ages. There is a large sandbox nearby. An outdoor ping pong table, which is enclosed by a screen tent. The cottages are located well off the main road, allowing for easy and safe play for the kids along the winding, dirt driveway. There is a clearing in the woods, and a firepit is located along the edge of the clearing. This makes it very suitable for a ball game, and a campfire, before, or after, a day on the water.

Abundant water activities are within 100 feet of your doorstep. Swimming, canoeing, private docks/boat tie downs and walking and biking trails are available. There is a public boat ramp for motor boats nearby. You'll enjoy the peacefulness, punctuated by happy shouts from the water's edge. There are lovely, well-used walking trails through the woods which lead you to the Stow recreation field, which includes a gated playground, soccer fields, and a pavilion with several picnic tables. When we're lucky to have a rain shower at night, you'll fall asleep to comfortable sound of raindrops on the roof.
If you time your stay well, you can join us for the July 4th, or Labor Day Weekend picnics. A late August weekend around the lake is host to the Lake Boon Water Carnival: including Lighting of the Lake on Friday night with a music boat touring all docks; water races and field games on Saturday; and a boat parade on Sunday. It is free to all!
Parker Cottages of Lake Boon is just 45 Minutes west of Boston; 15 minutes from I 495 in Bolton and 15 minutes from I 290 in Hudson/Marlboro.
Grocery stores, restaurants, shopping centers, apple orchards, seasonal farm stands and the Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge are close by. Four golf courses are within a 5 mile range.
Lake Boon is situated along the banks of the meandering Assabet River, which in itself, offers wonderful kayaking and canoeing opportunities.
