The large circle drive offers ample parking for vehicles with trailers. The apron in front of the garage adds additional parking space.
The main house has 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed and en-suite bathroom . The second contains both a queen, and a single bed, located adjacent to the second full bath. Both bedrooms have French doors opening to the deck overlooking the lawn and pond.
The kitchen in the main house is fully equipped for all your cooking needs. With basic seasonings and condiments on hand.
Bath, hand and dishwashing soap is provided, LAUNDRY DETERGENT IS NOT.
The bunkhouse is perfect for families, containing 3 single beds and 1 queen bed. There is a full bath and a utility room with washer, dryer, refrigerator, microwave oven and coffee maker.
The main house and bunkhouse each has a flat screen TV with Direct TV, and Internet access.
Comfortable porches are located front and rear, with an extended lower deck . ( The upper deck has been removed and a roof is being added over the existing lower deck). There is great bird watching from the peaceful, always breezy, deck. Resident ducks and geese roam the yards and wild birds wade the pond catching insects and fish.
The pond is shared with neighbors, and has a walking trail and small dock for kids fishing. The pond is stocked with bass, perch and catfish. We ask you to catch and release all but children are allowed to keep their catch, to eat. Please note that this is a natural area and parents should supervise children when fishing or walking.
In the back yard there is a covered area with a sink and BBQ pit for outdoor cooking, (BBQ utensils are in the house).
This rental property is less than a mile from Froggie's bait shop where fishermen can purchase live bait , tackle, gas and snacks before launching to the Intercoastal Waterway. There is three public ramps and bait shops in Port O Connor and two very nice tackle shops. Speedy Stop grocery is a well stocked store with produce, grocery, meat and dairy items as well as tackle. There is also a Dollar General. Several restaurants and bars scattered thru town offer quick meals and refreshments. Cathys restaurant offers the best shrimp dinner you can find anywhere.
Port’O Connor has a newly refurbished front beach for swimming, sunbathing and family fun. There is a pier for day or night fishing. Wade fishing is available at the Little Boggy area.
We do allow dogs, they must be house trained and crate trained. No animals allowed in beds or on furniture. We have gates that can be fastened on back deck to contain larger pets and hunting dogs as well as a pan for water. We have found smaller pets just go in and out through the deck rail.
