Perfection is a high goal, but this rental came as close as I could possibly hope in every way. Beautiful, immaculate, comfortable, quiet, convenient -- this place was exceptional, absolutely top-rate. It suited us precisely.

This property was beautiful, situated directly across from the St. Lawrence River and walkable to the Tibbits lighthouse. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need, and the bed was very comfortable, which is a real plus for someone with a bad back. The entire apartment was clean as a whistle, and the only thing we needed help with was the TV remote, which they addressed immediately. I highly recommend this property.

One of the most fantastic stays I've ever had. The host was fantastic. The views were gorgeous. If you're a fan of beautiful views, modern amenities, and local hospitality. This is the place for you.Very grateful.

An immaculate rental, well equipped, with a gorgeous view. The host was friendly. There was a big storm resulting in a power outage in the area for several hours. The lights blinked and then a generator kicked in and everything was fine. I hope to return.

Best place to stay

We completely enjoyed our stay! The apartment is clean, private and has great views. We walked through the nature paths, and down to the lighthouse. Also enjoyed sunsets from the deck right on the river. I've wanted to stay in this location for years and I'm so glad I finally did!

If you could improve on perfect there still would be no room to improve this place. The surrounding grounds are exquisite and the cottage itself was clean and fully appointed. The hosts and the contact were all fabulous people!

Beautiful place, beautiful views. Ships going by, loons. Quiet, very peaceful yard. Beautiful landscape. Stayed three nights, very comfortable.Would recommend for sure and would definitely stay again.

I have stayed in multiple places in the 1000 Islands. I LOVE this place. Clean, perfect location, great views. If you rent anywhere else it's your mistake. Fantastic!

This place is a little bit of heaven. So cozy with a great view of the St Lawrence River to wake up to everyday. It has everything you need. The property owners are very friendly and know all there is to know about the area! My family visits the thousand islands every year and would be happy to come back here.

Girlfriend Getaway

Thank you for the perfect setting for a little ‘get together’ with friends! We enjoyed the location with a gorgeous view of the river. Loved watching the ships go by! The kitchen met all of our needs and the island is both beautiful and convenient! Would definitely stay again!

You won't ger disappointed

Very clean home, well stocked kitchen with personal touch. The view of the river from our windows were absolutely amazing and we really enjoyed the stay. It was a last minute booked vacation but it turned out to be amazing and we will be definitely back here if we are visiting Thousand Islands.

This was so much more than we expected. We met our hosts who were charming and welcoming. Our apartment was clean, bright and well-supplieded with all the necessities. This is an excellent property. I would highly recommend it! You have a beautiful view of the river. It was spotless and the furnishings, quilts on beds, books, fully furnished kitchen and appliances were all clean. The location is close to Tibbett's Lighthouse and a short drive into Cape Vincent. Parking was plentiful. My only recommendation would be to remove the room deodorizer. Otherwise, it was perfect!!

Cape Vincent 2025

the property was immaculate. The property seemed brand new with up to date appliances and dishwasher. You have a variety of coffee makers to choose from. The dishware seemed so new they looked like they had never been used. Sarah, the property manager was very accommodating and solicitous to make sure our questions have been answered. She was a delight to deal with.

Great stay

My family and I enjoyed our late fall getaway to Cape Vincent using this quaint cottage as homebase. The rental, above a garage, is spacious and as depicted in the photos. It was clean, comfortable and cozy with a nice view of the lake. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils, plates, cups, pots and pans. Would have been nice touch if it had been stocked with a few basics (coffee, tea etc) instead of just leftovers from prior guests (eg near empty coffee tin) esp since grocery was closed by the time we arrived in town so there was no where to pick up food (thankfully there was stîll one restaurant was open). Would enjoy coming back to visit in summer!

Can’t wait to go back.

We really enjoyed our stay. This place was very clean, updated, with such a great view. My husband and I have always loved Cape Vincent, and would definitely rent this location again. I only wish that their was enough comfortable seating for 4 people in the living. You won’t be disappointed if you rent this property. Beautiful house, property and view.

great place to stay, great view of river

wish there had been tv to watch, my fault, failed to notice that it said no cable/satellite tv. otherwise, this is a great place, very nice and clean. close to village and alex bay. wonderful view of sunsets over the river.

Beautiful Apartment

The Care Away apartment is beautiful!! We arrived to a sparkling clean, wonderfully equipped place for our get-away. Everything was supplied which meant we didn't have to take towels or linens with us. While we are grown, it was as if my husband and I were kids because we got to stay in the loft, which was totally fun! The view from the living room was amazing and watching the ships pass by, and the most spectacular St. Lawrence river sunsets was incredible. The apartment is situated away from the center of town, but it's just a short distance to find a market, coffee shop and the local brewery. It's also close to Clayton and Alexandria Bay, where there are so many things available for you to do. Sarah was great to talk to, and we were pleasantly surprised that upon check out we just needed to lock up and head out. (with many rentals like this you are required to clean up, take out trash etc). It's a place we'd visit again and again. Thank you Neale and Mary for opening up your beautiful apartment so people can enjoy all that the wonderful Thousand Islands Region has to offer! We will definitely be back!

A wonderful place

This apartment is beautiful, clean and fairly well equipped. The view of the sunset every night is spectacular. The neighborhood is walkable, and it’s a very short ride into town. We would stay here again... without kids. The only critique is that it’s not as kid-friendly as the listing made it sound. We had a 1-year-old and a 3-year-old with us. Having things like a pack n play and high chair to offer would have been great, but not necessary. The only thing we were desperate for was a baby gate for the stairs.

❤ our home away from home

We loved this place, always happy to return after a day's outting. It was a delight to meet Sarah and Tom and grateful to Mary and Neal (the owners) to share this place with others unfortunate not to live here. The early mornings were a peaceful delight and the last lights of the night enchanting and breath-taking. We do hope to return. Absolutely loved Cape Vincent and the 1000 Islands region.
