Welcome to Waitatavi Bay Resort!

Escape to this luxury beachfront bure (cabin) in Fiji.

This bure is completely private and and just feet from the ocean. You will fall asleep to the sounds of waves lapping at the shore, and you can enjoy your morning tea or coffee looking out to the ocean.

You can then spend your days relaxing on over a half mile of white sand beach, kayaking, snorkeling, or hiking the property. Activities such as day trips and SCUBA diving can be arranged.

5 Star Accommodations

One of the best places to stay in Fiji. We have been to over 19 islands in Fiji and we keep coming back to Waitatavi. The accommodations and staff are out of this world! The bure is in a spectacular location overlooking the Somosomo Strait with some of the best snorkeling and diving in the world. Your private staff is friendly & helpful. The meals were delicious, healthy and fresh. Enjoy white sand beaches, snorkeling, kayaking, standup paddling, hiking, and fishing all at your fingertips. Waitatavi is extraordinary and amazing. We can't wait to get back!

Spacious Bure with Fantastic ocean views on a private bay,white sand beach with excellent snorkeling

We were cautious about renting from a new listing with no reviews, but so glad we did. The ocean front Bure was very private & much more spacious than expected. It has all glass facing the ocean which made for spectacular ocean views from every room & had a nice ocean breeze and gentle waves to sleep by. We loved the private outdoor shower and ocean front patio for a glass of wine at the end of the day. The bay is protected from the waves which made for great snorkeling right from shore & the coral here was excellent. This was intended as a dive trip, but ended up being so much more. For diving, they arranged for the dive boat to pick up and drop off on our beach. (Fiji diving was incredible). Palau, our host, was a sweetheart, attentive, a great guide & super cook. She also arranged a day trip to the Taveuni coastal walk & waterfalls. The bay is a quiet, very remote beautiful area that made for a perfect romantic getaway. There is a nice hike up into the hills to an overlook with great views. Learning about the culture was interesting and visiting Palau's village was educational.The food was mostly farm to table, fresh fruit every day, and fresh local fish making for some fantastic meals. The drinking water was good, fed by a natural spring. Being this remote we weren’t sure what to expect, but it was all modern, solar powered & the cell service was good. Waitatavi Bay Resort was perfect for us & We highly recommend it for couples or a couple with adventuresome kids.

Waitatavi Bay - Real remote fantasy Island! Amazing views, snorkeling, accommodations, & privacy.

The moment we stepped on the beach in Waitatavi Bay we realized how fortunate we were to have found this magical place. Taking in the view of the sandy beach, to the crystal clear water & tropical fauna, it was amazing we got to enjoy this beautiful Bay all to ourselves. The Bure is nestled in the trees on the water edge with wall-to wall windows/doors with screens to keep bugs out. We slept to waves, woke to views, & snorkeled exploring the underwater topography. Each side of the bay has amazing coral formations, fish, & sea life. Bure even comes with an outside hot water shower & it was extremely comfortable. We had plenty of storage & area to dry dive/snorkel gear. Staff provided room service if we wanted meals inside the bure or out on the deck. The staff was wonderful, smiling, and caring. Meals are prepared with love, from fresh fish to using the coconuts that grow on the property. Privacy was never an issue when we wanted it. Days we scuba dived, staff arranged with the dive shop for transportation off & on our beach. Staff showed us the surrounding bays by boat, took us on an adventure to the Polynesian village where they reside, they were our guides to the fresh water waterfalls & showed us the hike on property for spectacular views. We were never bored. This was one of the top vacations we've taken. Prepare to be pampered & treated like royalty. Loved the isolation to ignore the outside world. This property was much more than we anticipated or expected!
