SEE IMPORTANT NOTE AT END OF THIS DESCRIPTION. Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Situated in the middle of a 77 acre farm, this property offers great privacy and an amazing panoramic view of the southern Appalachian Mountains from the Cherokee National Forest in TN southward to the Chattahoochee National Forest in GA. Conveniently located just minutes from outdoor activities including the Ocoee River to the East and shopping and restaurants to the west in Cleveland TN. Chattanooga shopping and attractions just 30-45 mins away.

This property includes a 1300 square feet two story home with an adjoining shop and farm implements shed. The entire home portion of the structure is included in your rental. Construction was completed in 2024.

This property is situated in the middle of a 77 acre farm. It is very private in that there are no close neighbors. It is a working farm so occasionally the owners will share the outdoor areas to tend to chickens and gardens and to mow and process hay during the summer months. The cabin sits atop a two-acre plateau and has a huge front yard for kids and pets to roam and play.

The key feature of the property is a 30 mile panoramic view of the southern Appalachian mountains. It has truly amazing views including Big Frog Mountain. Sit on a rocker on the front porch and be mesmerized by the horizon as you enjoy the peace and solitude of this location.

Another key advantage of this location is that while it has that wilderness appeal you are conveniently only ten minutes from Cleveland and 30-45 minutes from Chattanooga.

The entire 1300 foot guest house and 77 acre farm are available for you to use and explore.
Access to the adjoining workshop and implement shed is restricted. NOTE: IN FEBRUARY 2026, WE PLAN TO BREAK GROUND FOR A NEW HOME ON THIS PROPERTY. THE NEW CONSTRUCTION WILL TAKE PLACE 150-200 FEET AWAY FROM EXISTING CABIN ON THIS LISTING. THEREFORE, THERE WILL BE LESS PRIVACY AND CONSTRUCTION NOISE DURING WORKING HOURS PRIMARILY ON WEEK DAYS DURING 2026. FEEL FREE TO INQUIRE IF YOU HAVE SPECIFIC QUESTIONS.

The views were so breath taking , we met the owner very friendly and helpful will definitely go back again. The cabin was very nice and clean had everything you need to cook , so nice it made you not want to leave to go do anything they had chickens which was so sweet it reminded us of home , very nice area of the state everybody was very friendly which made the vacation even more enjoyable . Can’t wait to go back next year ! Hoping to bring our dog down next year spice it’s pet friendly. Thank you so much . Paul & Barb

Ruby’s Refuge was amazing! I would stay there again and again! It has the most beautiful view of the mountains. The serenity of rocking on the front porch is worth it all. Inside of the cabin has all of the perfect details. This is the perfect place for relaxing and close enough to Lee University and plenty of restaurants .( private, quiet, and cozy)

The location is peaceful, with room for dogs or kids to run and play. The house is lovely and comfortable, with many thoughtful details specifically to make guests feel at home. The hosts are friendly and welcoming, and can recommend some great local hikes and places to visit. And as lovely as all of that sounds (and it is), the view is absolutely stunning.

Amazing!

If you’re looking for a quiet place to relax this is it. The property is very well kept, has the most amazing views from the front porch, very private but still close enough to most amenities and activities to enjoy during your stay. This is such a beautiful place! The view was amazing and the cabin was beautiful. Only minutes from town but felt as though you were on a secluded mountain! Total peace and quiet!! Loved it!!

Great place to stay

This house is nicer in person than in the pictures. The view of the mountains off of the front porch is breath-taken. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you would need from dishes to spices and for left overs there is aluminum foil and zip lock bags. Wes even had a dozen fresh eggs in the fridge when we got there. The decorations inside are nice and was plenty of room. Wes was very nice and very quick to respond to any questions I had. We would definitely stay there again.

Happy place

We really enjoyed our long stay here! This cabin has the most beautiful view! I love it that much of this place is homemade. I love that they pour a lot of love into this place. We heard coyotes and owls at night. My dogs enjoyed the huge yard on the top of a hill. We will be back! Owners communicated often. The place is decorated very nicely. We enjoyed this stay immensely!

This was one of the most amazing properties we have ever stayed back and we will definitely be back! It has the most breaktaking views and location was perfect. October Stay

We cannot express enough how amazing our stay was at Ruby's. The property is absolutely beautiful, peaceful, private and very well taken care of. The sunrises are simply stunning! The entire process of checking in and out, and communicating with the owner was flawless. We will truly miss being there and can't wait to stay again in the future.

A Hidden Gem!

This place was amazing! Far enough off the beaten path but yet centrally located to things we wanted to do in the area. The cabin is a perfect size, with plenty of space to spread out! I loved the kitchen and how spacious the upper bedroom is! The cabin was so clean when we arrived and check-in was a breeze. My favorite part-having coffee on the covered porch in the morning and watching the sunrise. The chickens on the property (in the hen house) was a cute bonus! Wes is such a great host and we will most definitely be back again! Many thanks to Wes!

This property is just as described, but words are really inadequate. As soon as we walked in, we were enveloped by an atmosphere of peace and tranquility. The cabin is beautiful, and no detail was overlooked to ensure the comfort of their guests from the comfort of the furniture to the fresh eggs from the hens outside. My wife, a former Pampered Chef consultant, was impressed with the beautiful, up-to-date kitchen with cookware that's better than ours. Our hosts were wonderful and welcoming. This property and the hosts receive ten out of ten stars, and we will be back as soon as we can be.

Weekend getaway

The pictures do not do this home justice. Everything was gorgeous and beautifully decorated. The bed was extremely comfortable. We were able to enjoy a nice evening looking at the sunset on the porch. The view is phenomenal. I will 100% be coming back to this property if i come back for a visit.

Beautiful Cabin & Mountain View

This was our very 1st time renting through VRBO! We came to town for our daughter’s softball tournament & knew we wanted somewhere besides a hotel for the week! We also wanted to bring our dog. From the moment we drove up the driveway to the moment we walked in to the cabin, we were in awe. I can’t begin to describe how beautiful this place is. It’s peaceful, relaxing, clean & has everything you could need for a week long stay. I can’t think of one thing to complain about. We even had fresh eggs in the fridge waiting on us & a garden to get fresh vegatables from. We can’t wait to go back & just relax, drink coffee on the front porch while enjoying the Mountain View. Thank you Wes, for sharing this little slice of heaven with us!
