Quaint 1914 Beach Cottage

This Quaint 1914 Beach Cottage is perfect for a get away; is a three minute walk to the beach and equipped with all the amenities for an enjoyable vacation. You'll love it!

One block from the ocean, 2 blocks to downtown Ocean beach shops, restaurants and beach. Off street secure parking, close to SeaWorld, and the Zoo. Ten minutes from airport. Completely remodeled Craftsman style 100+ year-old beach cottage with internet, Roku TV, full kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops.
This cottage has two full bedrooms, each with a queen sized bed, and a full size sofa bed. One pack and play for baby/toddler to sleep, one bathroom with shower and tub, complete with shampoo/conditioner and body wash. It’s one of the few beach houses with both central heating and air conditioning. It has a full size washer and dryer with all the washing amenities you may need . Ready for the beach? We have the chairs, beach umbrella and towels. Just bring your favorite suntan lotion and you're ready!
As the owner lives in this house during the summer you will find the house well stocked with items used for entertaining. Gas stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, blender, mixer, coffee maker, lots of pots and pans for cooking. The front porch has chairs for relaxing and people watching. No need for a car here. Everything is within a 2-block area, beach, groceries, restaurants, pharmacy, downtown shopping, and library. The bus to take you to downtown San Diego and trolley is two blocks away.
Don't miss the sunset from the nearby cliffs or Sea World fireworks from the front porch.

This little cottage was the perfect location for our trip. One bathroom was challenging, but we made it work. Nice little touches and notes everywhere. Only one minor issue, a new toaster would be appreciated. We will be back

The beach cottage was the great size for our family, we were a family of 3 (our son is a sophomore at SDSU and spent 2 nights with us). The location was perfect. We were close to the beach and downtown but far enough away for quiet evenings.

Great location!

This property is so comfortable and close to anything in OB. We enjoyed the parrots in the morning. The patio was relaxing. We would definitely come back!

Comfortable Ocean Home

We felt perfectly at home in this house! Everything we needed was provided for us. We loved the off street parking, always having a guaranteed spot after a day out! Ocean Beach is charming and it was so nice to be able to walk to so many delicious restaurants and cute shops! Thanks for letting us stay in your home!

Work and play.

I was in town for a conference. The location was a quick 15 min drive to the San Diego Conference and 10 mins from the airport…..and more importantly walkable to beach including some fun surf breaks. Beautiful views from the cliffs. This feels like a great, authenticSoCal beach neighborhood.

Wonderful Stay

This was a fantastic place to stay, beautiful home and we enjoyed every minute. Walking distances to restaurants, stores and the beach. Just absolutley perfect. Was clean, kitchen fully supplied - just everything was so perfect. The property manager was very nice and communicated perfectly. Thank you for a great stay, we will be back!!!

Great Stay in a great location

The property was exactly like the listing. Clean, comfortable, and within walking distance to anything we needed. The parking was enough for our rental car but we mostly walked since everything we needed was within a couple of blocks: restaurants, shopping, beach. We really enjoyed the outside patio as well.

Beautiful Cottage

Such a cute, perfect little cottage. Close to everything. Quiet neighborhood with lots of activities within blocks of the home. Great communication from the manager. Would highly recommend staying here.

Excellent Place To Stay

We absolutely loved our stay at this location. It is just a couple of blocks to the beach and doubly to our benefit, only a couple blocks from our son's apartment whose birthday we were there to celebrate. It was ideal for my spouse and me and another son with his 3 year old daughter. Space was just right to entertain our birthday son, his girlfriend and our daughter and her family from Las Vegas. Highly recommend this place. Only draw back would be only one bathroom. Other than that it was perfect and we hope to use it again at some point.

This place is super-cute, well-located, and extremely well-equipped

The house had everything we needed and then some. The bed was comfortable, and the living room was cozy and well-lit. (So many places have terrible lighting, that I feel I have to give extra points for this!) We were grateful to be be able to do laundry as this was at the end of a longer trip.It was great having off-street secure parking. We didn’t move the car the whole three days, since it was so easy to get into town on foot.

The perfect beach cottage!

My adult son and I had an enjoyable stay at this delightful historic cottage. It's close enough to the beach, shops, and restaurants to walk, and having a secure parking area is a huge plus. We enjoyed having a nice patio and the convenience of a washer and dryer. The cottage was very clean, and every amenity that I could have needed was there. Communication with the host was a breeze, and he even remembered my birthday and left me a thoughtful card. Thanks for helping make this a great birthday vacation!

On our last day, a cleaning woman came to our door shortly after 10:00 am. I said I thought the checkout (CO) time was 11:00 am. The woman did not speak English, but she connected us to a woman named Jessica on her phone. Jessica told us that the CO time was 10:00 am, and we needed to leave. We hurriedly packed and left. I then noticed the instructions on the refrigerator that said the CO time was 11:00. I also checked my emails with VRBO, that confirmed that the CO time was 11:00. I contacted Jessica, who said that I was correct, but that they had changed their cleaning company, and would have to correct that on the information for renters. She admitted that she was 100% wrong. I asked for compensation. She said that I was being unreasonable, and did not offer any. This was a very unpleasant way to end our trip.
