Welcome to The Hideaway, your retreat in the mountains of Western North Carolina.

The cabin sits on 5 acres in Franklin's premier gated community at a 2400ft elevation giving you spectacular ridge top views throughout, especially on either of the two spacious decks. This gentle piece of land also features a gazebo & fire pit that overlooks our pond & creek that runs for several hundred feet through the lower area of the property.

Unwind amongst tranquil settings in the 6-seater jetted hot tub on the lower deck while watching the sun set behind the mountains. Adirondack chairs on the lower deck, and an outdoor sofa on the upper provide plenty of seating to rest and relax while listening to the quiet sounds of nature.

Inside, there is plenty of space to unwind by either of the large gas fireplaces located in both of the 2 living rooms. The home is laid out across 2 main levels, & a full loft which offers all in your party ample room to enjoy your stay, and have your space without feeling cramped in. The lower living area provides a stocked coffee bar with microwave and mini fridge, as well as a ping pong table for entertainment.

Smart Tv's are offered in all bedrooms, as well as the living rooms along with wireless high speed internet throughout. The cabin is equipped with a whole home back-up generator in the unlikely event of a power outage.

If you plan on cooking in, the kitchen is very well stocked to suit your needs with comfortable seating for up to 12 between the dining room table, and kitchen bar. However, if you decide to eat out, downtown Franklin is only a short 10 minute drive. Conveniently, a Super Ingles, Walmart, and Food Lion are only 5 minutes down the road as well.

Our property is easily accessible from a paved road, with a well-maintained gravel driveway and parking areas. Guests have full access to the entire home, stream, and pond on this 5-acre property.

Franklin and its surrounding areas is an outdoor adventurers paradise! Visit one of the many gem-mining camps where the Cullasaja River unveils its hidden treasure trove of corundum gemstones, boasting varieties of rubies and sapphires. Enjoy the many hiking trails in the area for all skill levels, canoeing and kayaking, river tubing, rewarding fishing trips, breathtaking waterfall explorations, and much more.

If leisure is more your style, the charming downtown area of Franklin has many quaint, local shops to browse. From antiques, to modern gifts, there is something for everyone. Stop in at the Lazy Hiker Brewing Company for beverages and snacks, or visit one of the many local-owned restaurants located on Main St.

The home is available to use, as well as the 5 acres of property. Which include a gentle pasture, with a pond & creek running through that is overlooked by our gazebo.

***IMPORTANT***
This is a rural mountain cabin. There is abundant wildlife that may make an appearance during your stay. These animals and insects include bears, snakes,spiders,deer,turkey,birds,various flying insects,raccooons,and many others. This is completely normal for this region, and it is very likely you will spot one or more of the above while you enjoy your stay. Please do not attempt to engage with wildlife, feed, or harass in any way. Keep food out of vehicles, and lock all vehicle doors.

-Booking Guest must be at least 25 years old & present at the property with their group (No 3rd party booking).

-This home features a full home automatic backup generator for the rare occasion that a power outage occurs.

-No smoking indoors. Cigarette butts left on grounds will result in an extra cleaning charge.

-Parties and events are not allowed.

-Pets & ESA are not allowed.

-A signed rental agreement & $500.00 security hold are required for all bookings. Shortly after booking, you will receive an email with the E-sign document & link to process the $500.00 security hold on your card (Hold is not placed until 48 hours before check-in.)
