The Loft has an urban warehouse vibe with exposed brick walls, 11' ceilings, 1700 square feet, with exposed ceiling joists. There is a full kitchen, with a bar and bar stools. The living area has a gas log fire place with barn siding exterior. It has two 8' wide ceiling fans, comfortable leather furniture with a flat screen TV. Wifi/cable. Two murphy beds, full size day bed. The oversized bathroom has a luxurious walk-in shower.

Very nice, shower is very slippery, tiles need non slip stickers someone is going to fall and Sue. and shower curtains water shoots out into entrance, and have shade’s dusted cobwebs

Great Loft Space

This was a great loft space for a nice getaway from Grand Rapids. The host was very responsive to my questions about check in. If I was in this area I would stay here again.

One of a Kind Experience

This was the most pleasant week of our month long stay in the area. So enjoyed the decor, comfort, all inclusive supplies, lovely small town environment and ambiance of the Loft. Owner so helpful and courteous.

A pleasant sray in a more remotish area of Michigan. Small town thats not to far from the big one. Room is great and interesting. Plenty of space and comfort

Beautiful space!

We really enjoyed our girls weekend getaway in this beautiful loft space. It was cozy, comfortable and had everything we needed for hanging out for the night. We all commented on how we would love to stay here again!

Wonderful loft in beautiful Lake Odessa

We were greeted by Bill who filled us in on the great little town of Lake Odessa. The loft was exquisite, wonderfully decorated and very comfortable. We will stay there again.

A Fantastic Stay

I absolutely agree with some of the other reviewers that said they loved the place so much that they didn't want to write a positive review for fear of having to share this place with other guests. THE LOFT IS INCREDIBLE! My wife and I stayed here for a few days to celebrate our anniversary and we could not have found a better place! Everything is incredibly well thought out! The place is very well decorated and you can tell from the furniture, appliances, the fireplace and from a conversation we had with Bill himself that he put a lot of work into, and takes great pride in his rentals and in taking care of his guests. Despite being right down town, the place is very quiet with very little road noise, and when we weren't wandering around downtown, my wife and I spent spent quite a bit of time just sitting in front of the peaceful, very nice fireplace and enjoying the overall ambiance of the Loft itself. Bill is a fantastic host as well. He was very quick and helpful with a minor problem we had with the heater, and he's very available for any questions you may have, but is also non-intrusive and very respectful of privacy as well. We will definitely be coming back here again!

Hidden Gem

I almost hate to share this hidden gem with a glowing review, but I just HAVE to for so many reasons!! Where do I start?!? Perhaps, with what a true genuine man Bill Rogers is. He is a delight with a capital “D”!! The pride he holds for his town, Lake Odessa, is apparent from the moment you meet him. I’m pretty sure his investments into the town have much added to it’s charm. He currently has three equally eloquent properties for rent in the quaint downtown area, with a 4th soon to follow. He also owns the local ice cream shop a block away, which includes phosphate sodas!! What a blast from the past! Now, on to the rental space. I have stayed at a good share of VRBO’s in the past and Bill’s place IS, by far, THE ABSOLUTE BEST! His flair for decorating, attention to detail and pride in ownership far exceeds anywhere I have ever stayed! Everything you need is well within walking distance of his properties; the ice cream shop, which was previously mentioned, a restaurant, a library, a coffee beanery & donut shop, an antique store, even a doctor’s office, as well as a hair salon, which Bill also owns! The public beach of Lake Jordan is a short drive, or even walk away!! My advice to you, stay here and be prepared to enjoy a getaway to the fullest, but don’t stay too long because I will definitely be coming back again and again. I think it’d be fun to rent all his properties at once and enjoy a big family reunion here during the summer months! So much more than expected.

The Loft was fantastic and so was the owner. We really enjoyed our few days at this rental. The Loft was well furnished with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. The whole Loft was clean and very comfortable. We will stay here again. Thanks Bill for sharing The Loft with us.

Wonderful

The listing was compelling, and the actual visit was far better. Place was extremely charming and immaculate. There was enough within a few blocks to cap it off. Wish we could keep this a secret.

Cozy, small town getaway

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at The Loft. Cozy atmosphere, lighting and sound. Location was easy to find/ access. Short walk to a diner, bakery, any down town shopping. Less than a mile from a park, the lake and bar on the lake. Everything was clean, made us feel comfortable to eat and sleep. The bathroom was very nice and clean. We felt right at home. If I could give 10 stars, I would. Will most likely be a spot we visit again.

Perfect weekend at the Loft!

My wife and I were staying here for our 33rd anniversary and we had a great time at the Loft. As soon as we walked in we both were so happy with our choice to stay here. I think we both said “WOW!!” at the same time. Bill was very accommodating and easy to work with. We didn’t need anything while we were here but He was more than willing to help if we did. I know everyone say the pictures don’t do it justice but it’s true! We would definitely look to stay here again if we want to come back to this area. Thank you Bill!!

Absolutely magical designer loft space!

Walking up the charming entry stairs, you enter to a magical string lit loft with beautiful high ceilings. It was immaculately clean and thoughtfully designed. We kept saying “the reviews were SO right!” because the pictures don’t do it justice. We had everything we needed for a romantic get away. We loved the fireplace and the use of technology throughout the loft space (speakers in the ceiling, remote lights). Bill was one of the best hosts I’ve ever had and was available to make sure we got in okay and for any questions. We will be back for another stay soon!

The Loft and Garden View Guest House are owned and operated by Bill Rogers, a local business owner and member of the Lake Odessa Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Development Authority.
Born and Raised in Lake Odessa, Bill has a passion for his lakeside community and the positive changes it has seen over the years, especially the last decade. He saw a need to provide local accommodations to guests and travelers, and undertook the extensive remodeling and design of two local properties. Garden View Guest House opened in 2011, and The Loft followed in 2014.
Today, his two extraordinary accommodations host guest from across the state to across the world, with some having traveled as far as California, Hawaii, Netherlands, Norway and Italy.
