Ahoy!...Oceanfront Family Cottage with Hot Tub, Near South Shore Attractions

Come and Relax at this private family cottage with direct waterfrontage and floating dock. This Nova Scotia cottage rental is conveniently located approximately 45 mins from Halifax and 55 mins from the Annapolis Valley. Three Sheeps to the Wind Cottage is located close to many restaurants and pubs in Chester (6mins) and Mahone Bay (10mins) by car. Historic Lunenburg (25mins) by car. The Sensea Nordic Spa is about 10mins away by car.

This Nova Scotia cottage rental features air conditioning, wood stove and a hot tub. There are three bedrooms located on the second floor with two bedrooms featuring a queen size bed and the third bedroom has a twin over double bunk bed. The finished room in the walk out basement features a Murphy Wall Bed with real double mattress. There is a full bath with tub on second floor and powder room on main floor.

There is one main floor patio with bbq with amazing water front views and gorgeous sunsets. There is a small deck off of master bedroom to enjoy your morning coffee. Three Sheeps to the Wind is the last home on a private road so it is quite private yet close to all amenities in nearby Chester and Mahone Bay.

There is a public golf course and salt water pool in Chester, not to mention many unique shops. Mahone bay is the home of the "three churches" and more restaurants and shops. The historic UNESCO world heritage town of Lunenburg (home of the Bluenose Schooner) is close by and the famous Oak Island is located less then 5 mins by car and tours are offered.

Ski Martock can found approximately (40km) away for winter downhill skiing and snowboarding and they offered groomed cross country ski trails as well.

The 35 Km Chester Connector Trail is located less then 2 km from the cottage and has year round access for various activities.

The house was on water with boat dock and had kayaks, life jackets, etc available. Beautiful sunsets and gorgeous mornings on the water. Loved the location and loved the house. Kitchen was well equipped. We were all over 75 years old and had to be careful on the stairs. Melissa was easy to work with and helpful. We all agreed that it was a great time and were sorry to leave!

We had such a good stay at this location. Itā€™s right on the water, unbelievable views as a dock if you want to go swimming, paddle boarding or canoeing.Not far from Halifax and very close to Lunenberg. Canā€™t say enough about Melissa. They were very accommodating, even though we had some changes leading up to the trip.I would certainly recommend this for a family.

Lovely get away

This beautiful property in Chester Basin was the perfect place to relax and enjoy a family vacation. We particularly enjoyed the back deck and boat dock which allowed us to explore Mahone Bay in our motor boat. The Sea Shanty restaurant, a 2 minute boat ride away, was a highlight. Minutes from Chester with all the amenities, this is the perfect holiday answer.

Totally eclipse of the sun

We had a wonderful time at three sheep to the wind. Itā€™s a great property, very comfortable and livable. The setting is also phenomenal! Would definitely recommend this property to one and all!

The view from Three Sheeps is simply stunning! The cottage provided us with ample room for six adults and the owner was fantastic to deal with. There seem to be many updates that have been or are happening. Only issue that we had was water pressure but I am most certain that is just the area and was not unbearable. The deck out outside surroundings are absolutely stunning! Was such a great stay!!

Beautiful spot

My boyfriend and I stayed at Three Sheep in May 2022 and had a great time. The location is very beautiful, the home spacious and we found it easy to get around the area with our rental car. The hot tub and all of the outdoor furniture was perfect for enjoying the beautiful scenery. Thanks for having us, Melissa!

lovely retreat from the city

This was a lovely home to use to get away from the city for a few days over the long weekend in February! The ocean views and seclusion were wonderful - and the hottub was well used (several times each day)! Stunning Property and Cottage

We stayed four nights at this property. The cottage and the views are stunning. The cottage has an airy, beachy feel to it and it was immaculately clean. The hot tub and outdoor fire pit are amazing and we spent a lot of time outdoors enjoying the scenery and peace and quiet. Each night we sat in front of the open fire and waited for the sound of the loons flying home to roost. We will definitely be booking a return visit!!

Rancho Relaxo

Three Sheepā€™s to the Wind is an idyllic spot to enjoy a fire ( inside or out), gaze at the ocean and bask in it all from the hot tub. A truly beautiful setting, convenient to Chester, MBay and Lunenburg, and all the amenities one could wish for. Thankyou Melissa for an awesome week!

Relaxing and Beautiful Setting

For early March we had the best warmer than normal temperatures so spent lots of time exploring the surrounding areas, walking and lunching. When back to the property we relaxed in the hot tub and took in the amazing view. Very comfortable home and very responsive home owners.

A perfect getaway...

We had a lovely time at Melissaā€™s cottage. The house is exactly as advertised. Cozy and elegant. The wood stove and hot tub were the biggest bonuses for us, but we also enjoyed bundling up for coffee on the dock. A truly relaxing time, and the perfect spot for our winter getaway. Andrew and I have lived in Nova Scotia our entire lives we are a young professional family with a love for sailing and the outdoors. We have sailed on the South Shore for over 10 yrs and had been keeping an eye open for the perfect family and sailboat friendly property not too far from our home in the Annapolis Valley. We purchased the property in the summer of 2015 and started welcoming guests in 2016. The rest is history.

This property is very close to the main highway yet its in a private wooded area directly on the oceanfront. We liked that were are close to everything we need yet we are 'away from it all'

Three Sheeps to the Wind Cottage Rental got it's name because its located beside a private hobby sheep farm which our children enjoy. This Nova Scotia Cottage Rental is unique because its in a protected basin so we can canoe and swim right in front of the property. There is a restaurant and drugstore that you can canoe to, how cool is that?
