ON THE RIM OF THE CANYON! Central heat and air. Experience the grandeur of Sunday Canyon from the comfort of this beautiful, vintage home. Listen to the coyotes howl. Watch amazing cloud formations. Enjoy the night sky with an ocean of constellations or spectacular thunderstorms. This home provides some of the absolute best views of Sunday Canyon. It has been a place of artistic inspiration, and now let it inspire you as well. Sunday Canyon is next to Palo Duro State Park, where you can zipline, horseback ride, picnic, hike and shop. Summer offers the musical "Texas" in the outdoor amphitheater.
13 miles from the city of Canyon. 26 miles from Amarillo. Lots of restaurants and shopping, including antique stores. The Panhandle Plains Museum is a must-see!
Additional sleeping arrangements include one portacrib/pack n play, one couch and two air mattresses.

Place was perfect. Better than we could have imagined. Loved the way the place was kept along with the ping pong table in the garage. That kept us busy. Then the views were amazing. Enjoyed everyone morning out there with some coffee.

Incredible view, beautiful space!

Wow! What a great place! The views were AMAZING. At night, the moon was so bright that you didn’t even need a light. And sunrise over the valley was like from a magazine! The home was well kept up with and even having a few creature comforts was a nice surprise (WiFi, streaming, etc.) Also felt very safe with our daughter with the gate, and multiple locks, but it wasn’t even needed with how safe the neighborhood felt. Easily has the BEST spot for the canyon over anywhere else. And as an added bonus, the host was very responsive with any questions we had. Definitely will come back again.

Spectacular views of Palo Duro

We had a very nice stay. The house was stock full of everything you would need while vacationing and was clean, comfortable, cozy and had just enough space for my family of 5 and my brother's family of 3 but what made it super special was stepping outside to stunning views of Palo Duro canyon!! You can't beat those views just spectacular!

Beautiful, Iconic Location and House

This is a must-stay location in the Palo Duro area. The house is iconic and the views are spectacular. The original artwork and the decor in the house was an added plus. The facilities were perfect and the host was very helpful. I wish we had more time to stay. We will definitely plan on staying here again when we're in the area. Thank you for sharing this wonderful home with us!

Relaxing home

We enjoyed our stay Casa Del Sol. The view of Sunday Canyon was spectacular. The house was very welcoming, loved all the artworks. My husband enjoyed looking at the wildlife with the binoculars (wild hogs in the canyon).

Beautiful and comfortable

Beautiful canyon views and very well equipped home. We enjoyed our stay and were quite satisfied with the location and the property itself. Barbara was very prompt with responses to our messages to her.

Wow Factor

The views were stunning. The pictures couldnt possibly do it justice. The home was nice, clean and well kept overlooking the canyon. We are already planning our next trip back.

Beautiful view overlooking the canyon!

The view off the deck did not disappoint - we saw the canyon lit up by lightening strikes, storm clouds roll over, and beautiful sunrises. We were especially grateful for the short drive back to the house after hiking to the Lighthouse formation.The house has everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the ping pong table.

Nostalgic, amazing vintage vibes with out of this world views!!!

The pictures don’t do it justice! The house reminded me off my childhood. My teenagers LOVED it!!! The views were insane. Clean, every detail thought out, & great communication with hosts! Highly recommend! We will be back!

Terrific getaway

The views from this property are incredible. We just sat on the outside deck and stared at the canyon for hours. The house also contained a lot of beautiful paintings. We were very comfortable, and I enjoyed playing the piano. Overall, it was a great stay.

A Wonderful Birthday Getaway!

We loved our time at this property! The house was very clean and comfortable. We want to escape the city for a relaxing birthday weekend and this property delivered. We cooked, watched football, explore nature and visited the nearby winery. It was an amazing weekend! Thank you so much for everything!

Palo Duro Canyon Views

4 adults and 1 child enjoyed a few days in the amazing location. You could not get any better views. We hiked and mountain biked. Lots of outdoor seating to enjoy on three sides of the house, so we were always able to get out of the wind. Very well supplied home, from the kitchen to the linens and towels. We will be back!

Awesome Hiking

Besides the views, it was awesome to just climb down the side of the canyon and meet up with the lighthouse trail. 6 miles to lighthouse and back. It was an awesome.

Spectacular views

The house is located on the rim of the canyon, and from the terrace (and the living room), we have a magnificent view of the canyon. It’s really amazing. The house itself is vintage, but clean and confortable, everything works well. The communication with the host, Barbara, was super easy and she was always quick to answer. There is no network when you reach the house, so make sure you download the instructions to get in before getting there. In the house, the wifi will get you to your fan base .Even our teenager was in awe, and couldn’t get enough of the view.It’s a unique place. Avoid if you’re afraid of the heights, but otherwise, don’t miss the chance to wake up every morning with that amazing view.

The property was very easy to get to and upon arrival everything was was very clean and well kept! We received communication about access to the property and had no problems. The views were beyond amazing!! We especially loved the artwork and plan on purchasing some of Carl's art. We loved the privacy. We felt like we were in our own home. Very comfortable. It was a short drive to the Palo duro Canyon and we were blown away with the beauty of that special place. This was our first trip out west and staying here made it very special and added to our memories.
