2 bedrooms each with firm, pillow top queen beds, linens, quilts and pillows provided at no additional cost. 1 single bed on sun porch. Large couch with queen pullout couch. Queen air mattress if needed. 1 bathroom with shower/tub combo. Full size washer/dryer and disheasher in kitchen. Pet friendly. Everything you need for cooking, full stove, refrigerator, microwave, pots and pans, new dishes, dishwasher and utensils. Fenced in yard for dogs. Beach chairs, beach/bath towels, boogie boards, umbrellas and beach wagon available. Outside seating area, gas grill and fire pit. Off-street parking for 2 vehicles and additional on-street free parking. 7-10 min walk to the beach. 5 min drive to shopping, restaurants, and entertainment.

Comfortable stay. Great fenced in yard and plenty of space for the dogs to run around. Good location in a quiet area, but close enough to walk to beach ect.

Renters were great! Expressed gratitude for clean accommodations and closeness to the beach. Available beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels and beach wagon to transport gear. Gas grill for family grilling and picnicking. Now ability to sleep 8 comfortably.

The host was very nice. However it was very hot when we arrived (89 degrees inside the home) which made sleeping difficult. It eventually cooled down inside but it would have been nice if the host had turned the AC units on for us instead of just on fan setting prior to our arrival. The room with the bed on the enclosed porch was WAY to hot to even think of sleeping in. There was no AC unit in there which was a bummer. There was also a lot of clutter outside the home (boxes with shoes in them etc ). We didn’t realize that there would an apartment above us and the tenants were moving out into long hours of the evening which caused a lot of noise. The location was great though, and the house was cute. Host did provide lots of beach chairs and a wagon. Probably would not stay here again though.

Nice beach apartment

This property is a first floor apartment within walking distance to the beach and Palace Playland. It is pet friendly and clean. We enjoyed our stay.

Perfect beach getaway

Lisa's home was clean and well maintained. We enjoyed the front porch after days at the beach. Recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful beach house.

Wonderful host - great location

The house is great. Great location within a short walk to the beach. Lisa provides everything needed for a day at the beach including S’mores for the kids. The neighborhood is nice and quiet and the back yard area is a nice hangout with the fire pit and picnic table. Will definitely stay with Lisa again.

First off, the pics here do Not do this place justice. It is a thoughtfully decorated charming beach house. The neighborhood was quiet and we had everything we could need (cooking utensils, beach towels, beach wagon, boogie boards, etc.). Spending time here was the much needed calming experience my family needed away from the busy city (2 adults, 2 teens, & 1 preschooler). The host is responsive and went above and beyond suggesting some activities in the area. We highly recommend this rental.

Quaint Maine cottage in nice neighborhood

Clean, 2 bedroom cottage. Secure, fenced in yard for our dogs. Very dog friendly, walkable neighborhood. Owner and other renter on property and very quiet.Great communication by owner and made sure we had what we needed.Lawn could have used a mow and some de-weeding, but the front porch made up for it with no need for air conditioning with open windows with screens.

Wonderful house

We really enjoyed staying here! The house was in good shape, it had nice common areas to hang out with friends, and the fire pit for s'mores was a great bonus. The kitchen was well-equipped and a pleasure to cook in (note: you may need to re-plug in some of the stove burners if they aren't working). Lisa was very communicative and helpful. Thanks for an amazing vacation!

Great spot perfect house

The house was awesome just far enough away from the pier in a quiet neighborhood but not too far that it was a process getting there. Yard was awesome for our two dogs and the house was perfect for the dogs my wife and young son . I didnt realize at first it was an apartment but that honestly didnt affect our stay one bit and was completely on me because the listing says apartment on it. Owners were great with communicating and allowed us to bring the second dog which was a relief. I definitely recommend!

Cozy, clean, and relaxing

Stayed here with my husband, 8yo, and mother. The location was offset from the hustle bustle of the busier part of this town but easily walkable/bikeable to anything which was perfect. Good central location for driving to lots of other towns and sights. The actual apartment was spacious, airy, clean, and had everything we would need. Window blinds needed some minor updates and maybe some things were slightly outdated but honestly not a big deal because everything was so clean. Communication with the owner was easy- very responsive and friendly. We would stay here again for sure!

Thank you so much for the positive review of our cottage! My goal is to keep it Covid clean and realize some of the features need updating which is in the plan but in the meantime I can off a clean apt with some special amenities within a short walk to the beach and entertainment!

Home-y Comfort

Very quiet street just far enough away from the traffic and entertainment. Although there was a bit of a walk to the beach, pier, and surrounding attractions, it wasn’t bad! Uphill on the way home was the only negative after a long day. The space was very homey and all 7 adults (2 couples) were able to sleep in their own spaces. Only one bathroom slowed us down a bit, but the beds and couches are comfy, and the kitchen was stocked with essentials we needed to prepare a few meals. Glad we found this place so last minute for such a large group! Definitely recommend. .

While Lisa, the host, was very nice and checkin was quick, this was the dirtiest house we have ever stayed in. Having paid in full prior to arrival and driving 12 hours to arrive, finding another rental was not an option. The entire house needs a MAJOR deep clean, especially the kitchen. The stove is electric and the drip pans were so filthy, caked with old food and grease they were unusable. Lisa came Sunday afternoon and took the drip pans to buy new ones however it was 30 hours later when she finally came back and replaced them. We were not able to use stove top to make tea, pasta etc Sunday and most of Monday. The oven is so filthy it was unusable. Lisa offered to clean it but said we had to leave the house for several hours due to “toxic fumes”. There was also old food and what looked like some type of mold in the refrigerator door. The entrance to our apartment #1 was cluttered with bags of ice melt ( in August) blocking the entrance, annoying to us but especially for my son who is disabled and uses hand crutches to walk. The property was overgrown with weeds and high grass so enjoying the backyard was a battle with mosquitos and bugs. The bbq is functional however we had to clean it, but standing and grilling you are surrounded by broken furniture, old suitcase, and general debris. I would never stay here again.

Jeannie was the worst guest I have hosted in the 10 years of hosting! She showed up 2 hrs early, and within an hour was criticizing the apartment and continued the full 5 days she was there. She said my apartment was the dirtiest house she had stayed in while I have received 5 stars from most of my guests! I was appreciative of some of the things she brought to my attention and replaced them, microwave and drip pans on the electric stove, others were excessive! Grass not being cut, which I have done almost weekly but we hadn't had rain in 2 weeks. A small tear in on of the quilts, a bag of ice melt on the front porch and then took pictures of paint pealing on the front porch. I asked her if she was an inspector since she spent more time finding fault with the apartment than she did enjoying her vacation. I said I felt bad for her family. Then she left the apartment with black marks all over the painted floors, dirty dishes in the sink, and furniture askewed. I would recommend not to rent to this guest. Also none of the items she found fault with prevented her from using the appliances or enjoying the apartment which I repaired or replaced. My guests are hear to enjoy the ocean and beach. I have everything they need for the beach, wagon, beach chairs, new umbrellas, and new boogie boards for the kids. I have a firepit for smores which I provide and she never mentioned the nice beds I have, comfy living room to enjoy TV and AC to keep everyone comfortable on hot days and nights

We planned this last second and everything went smoothly. Communication was great and the property was as advertised. Close enough to everything but far enough away not to feel too busy.

Home base

Great location; simple furnishings, but fully equipped. About a ten minute walk to the ocean and a short drive to OOB pier and surrounding attractions. Was a perfect space for a small family gathering.

Cozy apartment cottage

The rental had two bedrooms, a living room with a pullout couch, and porch with a bed and a large couch. There is a backyard fire pit with chairs, firewood provided, and a functioning grill. The owner is nice enough to provide linens and towels, and thoughtfully provides things like soap, dishwasher detergent, some spices and other cooking needs. She even provided us with marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers for s’more‘s, as well as a complementary bottle of wine. The beach is a short walk, but the pier is more of a bike or drive situation. It’s only about 1.5 tops. The kids and I had a lovely time, we would return.

Reed Cottage is close to the beach, enough to hear the waves crash at night, but far enough away to enjoy quiet time with the family. 7-10 min walk to the beach and an additional 5 minutes to the pier, restaurants, bars and amusement park. Pet Friendly! We love our family fur members and understand when guests want to have theirs accompany them to OOB.
