Great House

The house was wonderful! The house was big and spacious. Bedrooms were big and the bathrooms were nice. The pool was wonderful and one of the main reasons we picked this house. The owner was very responsive and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!

Host very responsive.

The property was spotless. The outdoor areas are lovely. The host is very responsive. As a whole, we found the beds to be very uncomfortable. The rooms are large and could accommodate king size beds. Overall the property worked very well for us.

Better than we imagined

It was my time to book a ladies weekend as we do one every year and I stumbled upon this one and am so glad I did. The location is perfect and the pool with that view was even better! Each room had a connecting bathroom so a party of 8 was easily accommodated. They best pet was we stayed at the pool the entire day. Outside there is a bathroom and a fridge room so we just took all our belongings down to the pool and only went up for dinner time to finish our side to go with our grilled fajitas. Being higher up in elevation the breeze was perfect while under the sun, there really wasn’t anything to complain about in my mind. There were quite a bit of stairs so be mindful of that when booking because everything is up and down stairs if you make several trips to the pool, we were all pretty active ladies so it didn’t bother us but I could see if being an issue for some. The pictures of the pool and the view in these pictures do not do the property justice. Just book the stay you will not be disappointed. Beds were comfy and there were plenty of instructions for all use in the house to answer any questions you may have. We ate a fabulous place called the Grove and it was delicious and only a 5 min drive. We also forgot a few items in our grocery pick up and ordered delivery that was there in less than hour. The host was beyond sweet and always available for any questions. Be sure to give a time for hot tub turn on because we missed the window on the first night and she didn’t get my message till next morning. She was even sweet enough to look for a tiny necklace that was left behind for us and found to send back to one of my guests. Will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful rental!

This place is absolutely gorgeous. The views from the balcony are breathtaking, the pictures don’t do this place justice. The pool and hot tub were very clean and peaceful. The hosts are extremely pleasant and accommodating to your needs. The house was very clean and in close proximity to most areas in Austin. I would highly recommend this house during your next visit to Austin. One of my favorite rentals by far. You won’t be disappointed.

Covid spring break

We enjoyed a lovely stay in this beautiful location. The owner was nice and accommodating. The views were beautiful and evenings in the hot tub were just what we needed to relax during covid.

Uncomfortable experience

We were very surprised to learn the owners would be staying in the same house with us. We did not feel this was made clear in the description, we wouldn't have booked if we knew these were the circumstances Owners say you'll be in private separate areas but we had an unpleasant encounter with the owner on the first day when they accused us of bringing too many people and having one extra vehicle parked on the street (we had 10 guests and 4 vehicles for a 4 BR/3 bath house). The number of guests was discussed with the owner beforehand and we had even offered to pay extra, so the fact that there was an issue caught us off guard since this had already been addressed well before we arrived. Before our stay we recieved a very specific email detailing odd, very strict instructions for parking. Little did we know this was just a small indication of how our stay would go. There are strict, very intense rules about pretty much everything posted everywhere thoughtout the house and threats of fines for any infraction that we honestly just didn't feel comfortable or particularly welcome during our stay, especially with the owners just downstairs and the uncomfortable interaction we had with them. The house itself is spacious though it has a weird layout. The pool and patio area are breathtaking but beware - there's a substantial extra charge to use the jacuzzi on top of the regular rate you're already paying and you must give the owners at least three hours notice to heat it up?! Also there's of course a fine if you're found to be having a party which is specifically defined in the house rule book as "three or more people." It is 2019. One would hope a group of adults knows how to be good house guests without the need for constant threats of fines and rules, and the feeling we are being watched. This is not the experience we had hoped for on our trip.

Hi Kylie, We were sorry to hear that your experience traveling with us fell short of expectations. We take the accuracy of our listings seriously - accuracy is one of our 4 Core Property Standards! Travelers can see before they book that the homeowner lives in a completely separate unit on-site as well as the policies on parking and maximum occupancy. These policies are made by and enforced by the neighborhood, and we make sure that travelers are aware before they make their reservation so that they can find a vacation rental that suits their needs. We understand that you exceeded the maximum occupancy by more than just two additional guests, and had so many vehicles that you blocked the entrance to the owner's garage. Despite this, the owner still generously allowed you to use the jacuzzi for your entire stay without paying the fee. You can see from other guest feedback that the owner always goes above and beyond to provide truly 5-star experiences at this vacation home, and we are looking forward to helping them continue to do so! Beautiful Home - Great for Family Group

We spent four days in Austin and loved the house. The view from the patio really made this an escape for us. We loved having meals on the patio and relaxing in the evening. Plenty of space in the kitchen and living areas inside. And the bedrooms were all large and well spaced so we could all sleep in if we wanted to. Location was great with shopping close by. Great spot!

Amazing Home, View and Private Oasis !!

We were in Austin for a college girls reunion, there were 6 of us from all over the country. Iris could NOT have been a better host and her home was INCREDIBLE. The pictures don't do the property justice, it was our private oasis plus they had just added a brand new gorgeous infinity pool and jacuzzi that made us feel like we were on a tropical island! Grocery stores and shopping were minutes away and we drank coffee and ate breakfast on the deck every morning. We took Uber downtown both nights for dinner and to enjoy the Austin nightlife and it was seamless. Would recommend for anyone traveling to Austin to take advantage of the amazing home and area! We will be back!!

I rented the home for the weekend and we had a great time! It was everything we expected and more....the home have some of the most beautiful views of Austin and the owner is very accommodating to her quest !!!

Awesome House

The view and the house were first class. We had 5 adults and there was plenty of room and privacy for all. Spent most of our time outside on the patio!! The owners do live on the first floor but you don't even realize it. Upstairs and entrance is 100% private. Truly is like two separate houses. Will definitely return.

Great location

The location of this home was perfect for us. The layout was great and we loved the size of the rooms. They could use a bit more basic supplies just as soap and towels.

Relaxing Stay Close to City of Austin

We had a relaxing vacation at this lovely home in the West Lake Hills. Four lovely bedrooms with bathrooms were perfect for our two little grandchildren, daughter, son in law, and friends. All was lovely. Just to note the owners live on the first floor while our accommodations were on the second floor, but it was all very private and they could not hear us and we could not hear them as it is sealed off.

Perfect Location

Situated about halfway in between Lake Travis and downtown Austin, this rental is perfect for those looking to experience both the city scene and lake activities. The hill country view was amazing, as advertised. All rooms are spacious and comfortable. The hosts are friendly, attentive and helpful. Highly recommend this property!

Great home away from home

Property was exactly as advertised. The balcony had an extraordinary view for morning coffee or wine in the evening. The neighborhood was great. Loved taking morning walks and seeing the deer. The beds were comfortable and AC was great. Plenty of bathroom space for everyone. The kitchen was a great size with all the amendities. The hosts were very attentive and quick to help if we needed them! They were a delight and this property really made our vacation to Austin special and we definitely plan on returning!

Tranquil Austin House

This beautiful property is exactly as advertised. Just as pretty as the pictures. Great layout for 8 people. We were very comfortable. The house was immaculate. The owners were very nice and helpful. I highly recommend this house. Beautiful view of the hills yet close to downtown.
