We enjoyed the total experience: the house was beautiful, well furnished, and most comfortable. Nothing was missing that would detract from the entire experience, from cooking equipment, entertainment, and unexpected luxuries (like a selection of pillows for each bed to accommodate any individual, and a charging station for several types of equipment). I would highly recommend the place and would love to repeat the stay.

The cabin was very clean, very nicely decorated and had every amenity anyone would need. A nice touch were the offerings of snacks and coffee beans ready to be ground for the coffee pot. The host was very attentive with text updates and offers of help with anything. A lovely big deck was lovely to sit out on and our dog loved it too! We loved the availability and cleanliness of the hot tub. In fact, there was nothing not to love, especially the peaceful location in the woods.

My dad, myself, and my cat all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Redbird Cabin! I'd had the very last-minute idea for us to go away for the weekend in mid-September to commemorate my mom's and grandma's birthdays--both of whom passed away in 2024. Their birthdays still being a difficult time of year for us, I thought it might be nice to start a tradition of visiting the mountains for a weekend, since my mom loved the Blue Ridge Mountains and we have a lot of good memories there. Katie not only sympathized with our desire to get away to a place of healing, but was kind enough to allow us to bring my cat (since I didn't have time to make other arrangements). Well, my cat LOVED it there, as did my dad and I--finding it to be the perfect size for us, stylish and updated without sacrificing comfort, all-in-all the perfect place to enjoy a cozy, rainy weekend. The screened-in portion of the porch was a real highlight for us--for my adventurous (yet indoor) kitty, especially! There's nothing cozier than a screen porch on a rainy day, or at night when you hear the loud chorus of crickets and katydids and the water at the nearby pond. The sound took me back to childhood summers at the lake with my mom and her family like nothing else, and that alone was enough to make me want to come back for years to come! Next time I hope to stay longer and have time to make use of the hot tub and wood stove :)Thanks so, so much, Katie!

Clean, welcoming, and adorable property located in a beautiful setting. We loved staying at Redbird Haven and would 100% return. It was comfortable and easy to be there. Owner Katie was dear and responsive. Instructions were clear and concise. Fantastic experience, loved it.

Anniversary

The property was amazing. Perfect location, very tidy. Love all the decor. Perfect in every way. We stay in cabins a few times a year and this one is near the top of our favorites.

Quiet, clean, comfortable

We’ve staying in several cabins in the Coolfont area and this was definitely our favorite! It’s a quick trip into Berkeley Springs to enjoy the town and then a peaceful spot to relax. The hot tub was great. Katie was communicative and kind. Would return!

Relaxing stay in the beautiful WV woods

My sister and I enjoyed a beautiful long weekend in this cabin. The cabin had everything we needed to feel at home, with modern amenities, a great hot tub, board games, and streaming services. The house layout was well thought-out and it had a very clean and cute design aesthetic. The downtown area was a quick drive and had lots of shops, events, and restaurants, and we were also very close to hiking and parks. I think our favorite part was the screened-in porch which allowed us to experience the woodsy setting without the bugs! The host was super communicative and helpful with everything we needed to know during our stay. Would highly recommend!

Magical cabin in the woods

Absolutely wonderful. Everything about it. Only recommendation for future visitors, take a screen ahoy of the access code and Wi-Fi password as there is no connection in the driveway. But it’s not the end of the world if Berkeley Springs Brewing Co. is open, less than a mile away. You can get a tasty beverage and use their Wi-Fi to get the details. Katie, the host is awesome, and was immediately available for any questions.

Home Away from Home

We had an amazing girls' weekend at this cabin! The hosts have truly thought of every little detail to make the stay feel special and comfortable. We cooked meals together, enjoyed the cozy fire and hot tub on the chilly nights, and spent quality time playing games and relaxing.The bed setup is perfect for a small group or even two families traveling together. I was genuinely thrilled to see the thoughtful touch of offering both soft and firm pillows—such a simple detail, but it made a big difference. The entire cabin is filled with those kinds of homey touches that make you feel completely at ease.The location is fantastic too, with hiking, great restaurants, shopping, and spas just a short drive away. I also noticed the sweet touches for families with young kids—like a toy chest, sippy cups, and the cutest teddy bear chairs. I can’t wait to come back and bring my family next time!

Highly recommend! Beautiful home, super comfortable beds, spacious bedrooms, each with own bathroom, hosts thought of everything! Very quick / communicative esp through email. Back porch with rocking chairs, outdoor fire pit, hot tub, grill, outdoor dining table, screened-in porch for dining, or dine in the large well-stocked kitchen. Host knows her coffee, even left complimentary beans in the grinder, plus teas, thank you. Great room / living room was a lot of fun, we didn't try the turntable though. Very, very peaceful place. Easy parking, convenient to Cacapon State Park, downtown Berkeley Springs, and found our way to the river (10 min drive) - and caught the BEST sunset at the Overlook. Look for the harmonica lady. Our dog loved RedBird, we all loved it, and tagged the place on Instagram. *Did have to get used to the dish soap/hand soaps, hadn't heard of that brand/concept before. Thank you for a fantastic stay & great memories!

We had a great stay at Redbird Haven. The house was as described in a wonderful, quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed the screened in porch for breakfast and dinners, and our dogs loved to lay on the deck and look out into the woods. The hot tub was wonderful after a long day. We would definitely stay here again.

Items that we inquired about were not in the property. There was a very heavy presence of dog hair, so beware if you have allergies. I understand it’s pet friendly but hair on bedding and blankets was excessive. The hot tub was very difficult to get in and out of and wasn’t very comfortable. Couldn’t get it to heat up to a comfortable temperature. The grill was dirty and rusty. We left a day early because of the various issues.

We take cleanliness seriously and were surprised by these comments, as our cleaning team documented the property (including the hot tub) as clean and fully stocked immediately before your arrival, and the grill grates had recently been replaced. We also confirmed all the specific items you asked about prior to booking (hot tub cleanliness, smart TVs, hot tub towels, fire pit propane) were in place and available to you. We do wish you’d reached out during your stay - we send a daily check-in message and are always quick to respond - so we could have addressed any concerns in real time rather than learning about them after an early departure.
