Nestled amongst lush tropical forest on a breezy hilltop just outside of downtown San Ignacio, our serene 3-bedroom home awaits your arrival. Casa Hill View offers stunning near-360° panoramic views of the surrounding Maya Mountains and its resident tropical birds. Enjoy ample space for solo quiet time in a hammock, or gathering over morning coffee in the open-concept living space and attached sunrise deck. Amenities include pool, high-speed wifi, two rainfall showers, and optional in-house chef.
The Space
All three bedrooms offer complete privacy and comfortable beds (1 king, 1 double, 2 twins). The double bedroom on one end of the home has a bonus tv lounge attached. The other two private bedrooms open onto a sprawling screened-in porch perfect for reading and yoga. The sloping gardens and walkways off the eastern pool deck offer superb birdwatching and sunrise views.

Wow! This house is AMAZING! It is the coolest concept design, a stunning location, and the host, Katia and her helper Consuelo did a phenomenal job welcoming us. Communication was top notch. This house is a rare find big enough to host a family with three teens. Lots of space to take a break!The only cons- only one bedroom room has AC. Absolutely no big deal in the cooler months, but if you aren't acclimated to BZ heat it might get toastier. The floor plan is definitely designed to keep the breeze flowing through the house and there are plenty of fans. There was no hot tub as advertised, but the infinity pool is extra cool!!

We stayed at this property with our 3 teenage children for four nights. The view of the hillside is spectacular and the property is one of the most unique and beautiful that we have ever stayed. The directions to the house were very clear. The road up to the house is unpaved and pretty bumpy. Only one room has air conditioning but the others have fans and they helped on the hot nights. One of our favorite memories of the trip was having Consuelo cook a traditional Belizean meal. We will never forget how delicious and special it was!

Everything was great! We loved staying here, communication with Katia was easy, and Consuelo was a sweetheart. The pool was much larger than the pictures made it look, and we enjoyed swimming in it every day! Beautiful

The house was beautiful. The view as soon as you walk in the front door was better than the pictures could do justice. Communication was a 10 on a 5 scale. I cant say enough about how fast, informative and amazing all communication was.

Great Stay in Cayo District

Our family had a great time during our spring break. The house was clean, comfortable, and in a great location for our day trips to the ATM cave, Mayan ruins in Belize, and visiting Tikal. The host was great and met us on arrival and was there for check out. You should also consider arranging for the arrival dinner. It was really good and made for a relaxing first night.the gardens were beautiful, well maintained and the kids loved the pool.

Wonderful Stay

The property was beautiful, clean and well kept. The view is amazing and the property owner is extremely helpful and communicative. We used the owners cook and recommended tour guide as well and both could not have been better. We would definitely stay again.

This was an amazingly beautiful and overall comfortable home in Santa Elena, Belize. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were comfortable and the bedding was soft. The home was clean and secure.The only disappointment was when I read "ac" in the description, I presumed more of the home would have ac. The only ac was in a small bedroom that had a double bed. Overall, the home is very open and a constant breeze kept it mostly comfortable.I would stay here again for sure!

We miss it so much!

The house was incredible. The property was perfection. The host was responsive, and Consuela is the most lovely human! Make sure you arrange to have Consuela cook - it was one of our very favorite experiences during our few days in Santa Elena. I hope we will be back someday!

Base for touring the Belize jungle and ruins

Awesome stay. We really enjoyed the location and awesome view which is above the jungle outside of Santa Elena. We felt a part of the community. The pool is awesome and the wildlife viewing is great from the patio and pool area. Katia and her entire staff of workers were great as well.

Fantastic home!

Gorgeous home and grounds. Katia is super helpful and responsive. The only issue we had was that the new girl they were training didn’t provide us all the information she should have during check in. Katia was quick to help out when we needed it, though.

Fantastic Stay

Beautiful home with an amazing view. The home was clean and plenty of room for our family of five. We loved spending time in the pool after long hot days doing adventures. We had a delicious meal cooked by the property manager and the owner went above beyond aiding us in getting a left sweatshirt. Will definitely stay at this magical home again.

Amazing home base for the Cayo

This is a very nice home in a beautiful location. We stayed here for a week while exploring the Cayo. The view from the deck in amazing. The pool was a nice to cool off in during the really hot afternoons. The host, Consuelo, was great and we had her cook dinner twice at the house (I highly recommend it).

Gorgeous home

We had a great 3 nights in Santa Elena. The home was perfect for us, three teenage boys, my husband and I. Katia had great communication, made excellent recommendations for some fun adventures while we were there. Consuelo cooked us a delicious Christmas dinner. We couldn’t have asked for a better meal, eating on the veranda with a beautiful view overlooking the hills. So pretty! The home is a great location for adventures around San Ignacio and an excellent place to retreat to after a busy day. Comfy beds, hot showers, hammocks everywhere, just sit back and relax:)

Hillview House

This house in Santa Elena is so cool! Our family of 5 stayed here for three nights. The house itself is well maintained, very spacious and clean. The views around the property are gorgeous and the surroundings are lush and so peaceful. We had Consuelo cook for us one nights and it was the best as she prepared food and cleaned up everything after. We got to relax after a long day. And Consuelo is so sweet and helpful. Wonderful stay and would highly recommend!

what an amazing find!

We just loved our time in this beautiful home. Tons of space, completely surrounded by nature, well equipped home, brilliantly designed to take advantage of the breeze, a refreshing pool to dip in, dark sky for stargazing, perfect view of the sunset and sunrise, tucans in the trees during sunrise, comfortable beds, everything you could possibly need in the kitchen, lots of towels, and the host is a wealth of knowledge on the area and super responsive! We highly recommend!

Amazing spot all around

Our group of 6 were extremely impressed with the beauty of this home; little extra touches and beautiful wood throughout; sitting on the dining room deck overlooking the amazing view of the jungle/forest; coming home after a day exploring and taking a dip in the pool; Consuela cooked for us 1 night - it was a nice break and great food. Katia answered any inquiries quickly and was very helpful with directions and details. The gardener kept the grounds clean and always had a smile; the resident dogs were very friendly and so well behaved. All 6 of us were pleasantly surprised and would not hesitate to recommend to friends or go back again.

Amazing experience

Our family recently had the pleasure of staying at this stunning hilltop rental property with breezy breathtaking panoramic views and a luxurious pool. This modern home exceeded all expectations, providing a truly unforgettable experience. The property manager, Consuelo, was exceptional, ensuring our stay was flawless. Her warm hospitality and attention to detail were remarkable. To top it off, Consuelo treated us to a delectable homemade meal one evening, which was both delicious and reasonably priced. I cannot recommend this property enough - it truly offers the perfect combination of beauty, comfort, and outstanding service.

Postcard View

We loved our time at this property. It’s beautifully maintained, and it’s clear the owners have put a lot of care and thought into both the home’s design and the surrounding grounds. Everything felt intentional and welcoming.The setting is incredibly serene, truly a peaceful escape. The only sounds we heard were neighboring goats, roosters, turkeys, and the songs of tropical birds. Combined with the stunning views and the relaxing pool, the whole experience felt like stepping into a postcard.By far, the highlight of our stay was Consuelo. She is unbelievably kind and helpful, and she made us our favorite meal of the entire trip. I’ve never been excited about tortillas and beans until I had Consuelo’s. I can’t recommend the welcome dinner enough.Katia, the owner, was also wonderful. Very accommodating and responsive. She graciously allowed us to drop off our bags early on the first day and helped us out when I forgot to send in our dinner order.The only downside was that the master bedroom didn’t have air conditioning. This made the first night uncomfortable for me, but I quickly adjusted.Overall, we had a lovely experience and would absolutely recommend staying here.

Paradise on top of the hill

We had a wonderful stay at Katia's property! The house was beautiful and the pool and the view were outstanding. We had everything we needed and communication with Katia and the other staff was excellent. My only complaint is that only one of the three bedrooms has AC, and when we were there it was HOT (consistently in the high 30s/40+ degrees C), so sleeping at night in the non-airconditioned bedrooms was quite warm - but opening the windows and putting the fans on did help. We would definitely stay again and recommend Katia's house to others looking for a well located, beautiful and peaceful retreat. Thanks! Carly

Just gorgeous!

This property was just amazing! The layout was perfect for our family…we like to spread out and there was plenty of room to do that. With the bedrooms on either end of the house, we all met in the middle for meals and to enjoy the incredible view from the back. We cook a lot, and the house had everything we needed. We just wished we were staying longer to enjoy more of the view, but we had so many things planned. Don’t miss the Iguana Conservancy and the VIP tour at the Raptor Center is a can’t-miss! AJAW Chocolate in town was super fun and educational. We love supporting the local community! Thank you, Katia, for being an incredible host!

Incredible!

Don’t hesitate to book this property. It’s a 10-min drive to San Ignacio where you can find tour guides to take you pretty much anywhere. This house is an architectural masterpiece. The owner is so accommodating and responsive. The view is fabulous and it’s nice and quiet w/ good bird watching. We used Pacz Tours in San Ignacio for our caving trips (ATM cave & tubing in Roaring Creek River through the cave complex there). Xunantunich ruins are also close to the house (@15 - 20 min drive) where we heard and saw howler monkeys. This is the best location to use as a base for inland explorations of Belize (and eastern Guatemala too).

The property sets on the top of a breezy hill with a majestic view we never get tired of looking at. It offers the privacy and intimacy of a resort while not being too isolated and close to the groceries store and bustling village life. In fact, we were not the first one to find this location as a premium spot, while building the foundations of the house, we found 2 ancient Mayan foundations laying one on top of another. We believe it is a great property for those who go for the car rental option, preferably a SUV, either in San Ignacio or Belize City and explore the area at their own rhythm without being bound to any schedule. The road access to the house is a dirt path, often bumpy, that gets muddy on rainy season. Inquire about drop-offs or pick-ups in town.

On days where everyone complains about heat and humidity and get to our place, they are always surprised by how much more comfortable and cooler it is up there. The locations is ideal : close to town with spectacular views but it feels like far away.
