The Barbagatto tower is located in the Hermitage of the Sun in Spoleto, a beautiful farmhouse completely
family managed. The house is set in an idyllic picturesque valley with stunning views of the Spoleto Valley and the many hilltop villages. Far away, the mountains on one side and Montefalco, Assisi, Trevi, Spello
on the other as a backdrop. The Tower has 2 floors. On the ground floor is a fully-fitted kitchen,a bathroom, and an open dining room with a BBQ.
On the top of the tower there is a roof-terrace for very exclusive sunbathing or for unforgettable candle
lights dinners..There is a wide outside area for eating al fresco (with barbecue, sofa and see-saw) and a spacious garden which provides both shaded and sunny areas. Outside there is an huge beautiful swimming pool (17m x 7m) that enjoys full sun and uninterrupted views.


Night time is something special in Eremo del Sole with underwater pool lighting, the twinkling lights
from the Spoleto's valley, magical fire flies all around and the magnificent stars not dimmed by light pollution.
In Spoleto there is a great selection of friendly restaurants that will serve you fantastic home made food,
truffle, wine, at prices you will not believe. Spoleto offers a wide range of centuries-old traditional food
products and dishes featuring pasta,truffle and olves's oil and there is an array of good wines including
the best famous Sagrantino.

The property is amazing. It’s in a stunning setting with views over the valley. Although there are two other properties nearby (the pool is shared with the guests staying there), the outdoor spaces are very private with no one walking past

We had a lovely stay, it was so peaceful at the accommodation but within driving distance of so many amazing towns. We did an amazing drive to Orvietto through the countryside and passed an amazing lake. We also enjoyed Marmore waterfalls and Lake Piediluco, a stunning village with boats and even a beach with deckchairs. Communication with the hosts was all on what’s app which made life very easy.

Unforgettable beauty of the Umbria region of Italy

This place looks like an Umbrian pop up book! Roses in bloom, a pool to lounge by and take in the breathtaking views while you relax under the Umbrian sun. Our host even offered fresh eggs from her chickens if we so desired! It is so conveniently located to many other interesting cities for day trips-Perugia, Assisi, Terni, and Siena. Florence is a couple of hours away. Shower is a little wonky, but has good hot water!-

Lovely house outside of Spoleto. Better place for summer because the pool was closed during our visit and the outdoor space not usable because of cool weather. There were also no instructions for renters.

Lovely secluded location

Il Barbagatto is one of three properties on this peaceful site, about 7 km from the centre of Spoleto, at the end of a 4 km track. The three properties share the large swimming pool. The villa itself was lovely with a large bedroom and good storage. It was clean and well kept, with someone coming to maintain the pool and gardens every day. We found it very relaxing and would recommend it. The town of Spoleto was charming and had enough restaurants and sites to occupy us. We also visited Assisi and Norcia, both a short drive away and would recommend both.

Fantastischer Blick

Die Lage der Ferienwohnung ist super mit einem tollen Blick in das Tal, vom Türmchen aus sowie vom Bett aus auf das kleine Dorf Rubbiano zu allen Tages- und Nachtzeiten. Leider war das Wetter schon sehr herbstlich und kühl- dadurch war die Wohnung kalt 17-18 Grad, obwohl es eine Heizung gab, die aber nicht angeschaltet wurde… wir haben uns dann zwei Abende sehr angenehm mit dem Kaminfeuer beholfen.

Wonderful and relaxing week

The tower was perfect for 2 adults + baby. The view from the bedroom is truly amazing. We spent some days just relaxing by the pool and in the garden and some exploring Tuscany’s countryside. Ginevra was super helpful and offering lots of ideas and tips on places to visit.

Beautiful retreat

Beautiful retreat in the Umbrian countryside - peaceful location with stunning views. We loved the large pool, picking herbs from the garden for super and the super-cute resident cat. Anna was very welcoming and helpful. Cottage also charming and well equipped. Overall one of the best holidays we've had - we'll be back !!

The perfect place for a summer vacation

We had a great time at the Barbagatto Tower. It's like in the pictures but even better. Anna and her family did everything to make our stay as relaxed and easy as possible. We came as guests and left as friends. We'll come again!

Great spot to relax and enjoy Umbria

Very nice two story villa with a rooftop deck. Located out of Spoleto, near the end of the road, it offers solitude, views, a pool, and a clean comfortable stay. Anna was friendly, helpful and responsive to requests. I would not hesitate to go back or recommend this very nice house.

The place to be ...

Peacefull, beautifull, calmness and serenity ... in an amazing landscape ! We left a peace of our heart in this beautifull place and the guests are charming especially Ginevra ! Everything is done to feel at home ! The house is wonderfull ! We spend one of the best holidays with our 2 little children ! Do not hesitate !
