Ribbon Ridge Schoolhouse

Deep in the Arkansas Ozarks, nestled in rolling hills, is an 1891 Schoolhouse that has been fully restored. The Ribbon Ridge school district was established On April 16, 1891 and was closed in the early 1940,s it averaged only 16 students per year.Only 12 miles southeast of Huntsville, we are located at the crossroads of the Ozarks. Eureka Springs, Fayetteville, and Springdale are less than 45 minutes away. The scenic Buffalo River is just 22 miles over mountain roads. On the scenic porch of this lovely cottage, the weary traveler can listen to birds calling, horses neighing and deer whistling. For the more energetic, miles of hiking and riding trails, also accessible by mountain bike, lie right outside the cottage door.
