Rancho Bonito is charming. The perfect Tucson get away.

The owner of the property greeted us and gave a tour of the home. She even gave us a complimentary bottle of wine! The house works well for a family or numerous couples. Very charming and clean.

Gem in Tucson

This property was perfect for a weekend retreat with my gal pals for the Tucson Gem Show. The home had perfect open spaces for us to enjoy our meditation and sound bath as well as beautiful private rooms with lovely accommodations.

Stunning home away from home

This was an oasis tucked away in a quiet subdivision and close to town. Family and pups enjoyed the home. For those of you who love your pets as family, this was a perfect home for them too. Maribel had a dog bed and water bowl at the ready. Thank you!

Beautiful casita!

7 of us stayed a week in this authentic casita. Property was well maintained, owner responded quickly to any and all needs. The only thing I would say, is the house sleeps 7, but there are only dishes for 5. We did a lot of dishes in this stay. Overall this was a wonderful way to spend Christmas with the family.

We love this house!

Beautiful ranch with amazing architectural details. VERY clean and well appointed with only the things needed for a short term rental. We appreciated it wasn’t cluttered. Only thing that would have made it better is if the pool was heated (November stay, but had hot days). We knew prior to booking that it wasn’t though. The house is full of design inspiration!!!

Relaxing and Deluxe Stay in Tucson

Rancho Bonito is a wonderful property with everything to make for a perfect vacation stay in Tucson. The four-bedroom home is split-style adobe brick mid-century modern, typical of the area. In addition, it is renovated with a Spanish hacienda flair to make for charming decor and a welcoming feel. The house is on the east side of Tucson, central to all amenities. Maribel is an excellent host, available for questions at all times. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Outstanding

Couldn’t have been a better place for my husband and I to relax with my dad and adult kids. We were celebrating my sons graduation from U of A and Rancho Benito is so special it really enhanced our memorable occasion. It was meticulous and beautiful. We loved the showers, the carved headboards and bed linens, the pool and outdoor seating and attention to detail throughout. You will love it!!!

Great House and location

The house is exactly as depicted on the listing. Beautiful , clean and convenient. There is a grocery store 1 and 1/2 miles from the house. The air museum is 20 minutes from the house. Very dog friendly house and area. Having said it’s dog friendly, the house is not affected by dogs in anyway. She provides a beautiful dog bed, bowl and towels. I would absolutely stay here again.

Rancho Bonito

The owner and property were both terrific,’it is in a very quiet neighborhood in Tucson but has good access to a number of outdoor activities including Sabino Canyon and the Tucson bike loop. The home is well appointed and very comfortable but the only drawback is the doors to all bedrooms are slotted or architectural and do not provide as much privacy as some might want when visiting. We would definitely return to this property on a next visit to Tucson.

Great home! Perfect location!

Even better than the photos. The home was spacious and comfortable. We were able to ride our bikes from the house to Mt Lemmon, the Loop, and Pistol hill. Easy 20 min drive to downtown.. We really enjoyed the restaurants that Maribel recommended in her guest book, especially Downtown Kitchen and Elviras. Everything was nearby! We did notice that we could easily hear noises in the house due to the bedroom doors being louvered. We would absolutely stay here again!

Loved the property and our stay there, it was magical! Leaving, I felt I got nickeled and dimed on charges. At first, the owner was going to pin charges on me for dents in the fridge and freezer that we didn’t make. I would recommend doing a walk around at check-in to show pre-existing damages.

Hi Mary I am so sorry you feel nickeled, when you leave the house , but I am glad you were respectful and let me know what was damage during your stay . You broke the refrigerator drawer bin and paid for it . I really appreciate it . I felt also I accommodate all your request during the stay in an immediately manner , you want extra internet for all 6 people working and you got it in minutes, you need extra bedding and got it in hours. You want to bring your pet , not problem we are pet friendly, you want to have dinner family at home, not problem . I work so hard to maintain my house with best appliances and and best possible standard to create the magical you mention in your review. Again thanks so much for booking with us . Maribel

Bonito experience

Very nice, good location for our activities, and house the right size for three couples. Glass recycle very confusing. Better instructions as to where to find disposal containers! Went to three locations all closed or could not find containers! Overall we had an excellent experience!

Beautiful Property

Maribel did an outstanding job of rehabbing and updating this 1960’s era “adobe”. All new but the walls, with a spectacular, and inviting backyard. We have only one complaint: there really is no absolute privacy. Only 2 rooms had actual solid doors the closed and covered the door space, all others were either louvred or ornate gate-like coverings which you could see right through. Again, a great property, and one of the best in the VRBO inventory.

Beyond expectations!

Even more stunning than the online photos, Rancho Bonito was immaculately clean and exquisitely decorated. With en-suite bathrooms, this easily accommodated our group of three couples. The rooms are large and spacious and the property is perfectly maintained. The eclectic furnishings are like visiting a cultural museum; everything is custom and handmade with beautiful textiles and carvings from India, living houseplants flowering by the expansive windows, carved doors, and top of the line appliances. The backyard is wonderful for inspiring conversation by the fire pit or pool area. Our dogs were welcome and enjoyed the property as much as we did. Would highly recommend this wonderful custom Tucson home...easy access to all sights, nestled in the Sonoran desert.

Beautiful AZ home!

We stayed here (5 nights) for our son’s graduation from University of Arizona. It is about 20 minutes from campus, but worth the drive! We were greeted upon check-in which was very pleasant, accommodating and helpful, as we had just driven 15 hours from California. A thoughtful bottle of wine on arrival was an added bonus! Home is beautifully maintained and decorated. The attention to decoration detail was outstanding. Well stocked kitchen for cooking. Everything was very CLEAN! The backyard is relaxing and well maintained. Sparkling clean pool! There were beautiful sounds of birds singing and our own little family of doves that stopped by. Quiet neighborhood. Highly recommend! Check out was easy and we had no issues during our stay. Lovely, lovely home!

Perfect Spot for "Staycation"!

This was THE perfect way to spend a few days with family! The house was spotless and beautiful. You can tell that Maribel and her family have dedicated a lot of time to finding beautiful, authentic features to make the space feel like a comfortable home, with a touch of "resort-feel". There was plenty of space and we had a very relaxing (yet fun!) weekend. Maribel was available any time I texted to answer any questions and gave us a thorough walk-through of the house when we checked in. The pool was sparkling clean, a little cold but that can't be helped when fall is on the way (although, we would've loved to have been able to enjoy the jacuzzi had it been heated)! I'd say the only thing that was a disappointment was when we had to leave. Thank you for everything! We'll definitely be back!

Birthday Celebration

We enjoyed the property and appreciate the cleanliness and the layout of the patio and pool area. We have all stayed at many rental properties and offer some suggestions: Add some games, playing cards, videos for guests to use. The "garage" bathroom lacks privacy. With just a slide curtain at the entrance it barely blocks the opening and the glass door at the back should have a curtain on it. There are no towel hanging hooks or racks, there is very little counter space and some bar soap or liquid soap should be provided. These are suggestions because overall we really enjoyed the site, the pool, the quiet neighborhood and the outdoor patio where we spent most of our time. We appreciate being able to check in early and hope these comments are taken constructively.

Hi Alan Thanks so much for your review. I think you were the one who booked the property,; But the person who I gave the walkthrough was another person and not you . I am so sorry you miss the Hanging hooks or racks for towels, you can see them at every picture of the VRBO listing ; racks for towels and racks for hand towels also one hook in each bathroom. Every bathroom is stack with a small complimentary handmade soap plus liquid soap; Plus welcome Wine, peregrino water, coffee and tea, plus dish soap, laundry soap etc. Sorry you miss it or maybe you were never at the property . Also I explain to the person who I gave the walkthrough to follow the check out instructions , wich was NOT followed it all. ( They did not even even care to read the check out instructions. ) ( we know because all furniture was move out and not put it back and all trash was left in the containers and not on the big bins per check out instructions). I always have this situation when the person that book the property is not the same who received it. . Hope these comments are taken constructively also. Again Thanks so much for booking with Us.
