This nice and comfortable 3 bedroom cabin with 2 and half bathrooms is just what you've been looking for. Escape the summer heat by staying at our cabin, "Grandfather View" with an elevation over 3,500'. We are located just 3.1 miles to Hawksnest Snow Tubing and Zipline. You can also enjoy hiking at the close by Otter Falls. Otter Falls is located in Seven Devils and about a 10 minute drive from our driveway.

Excellent location with all paved access (driveway is graveled but flat) within minutes to snow tubing, zip lining, skiing, shopping, and everything else in the High Country. The town of Seven Devils is centrally located to Banner Elk, Boone, Blowing Rock, and all of the major attractions in the area.

Main Floor: Once you walk in, you'll be greeted by our spacious open floor plan with cathedral ceilings. The living room has a flat screen TV and a nice stone gas fireplace to cozy up to during those cold winter days. There is a powder room on this main floor as well. You can access the deck on the back of the home to enjoy the views of Grandfather Mountain!

The kitchen has granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher, built in microwave, and side by side fridge with in-door ice/water dispenser. We also have a Keurig and a regular coffee maker. The dining table can comfortably seat up to 6 guests.

The master bedroom boasts a king size bed, flat screen TV, and an En Suite bathroom with a tub/shower combo and his/hers sinks.

Upper Floor: There are 2 additional bedrooms along with a full bathroom and loft on the upper floor. One bedroom has a queen size bed and the 3rd bedroom has a bunk bed. The loft area has additional seating and sleeping with sleeper sofa (NOTE: We do not endorse sleeper sofas or futons for any guests over 12 years of age due to the comfort factors).

Outside: There is a nice deck to enjoy the views of Grandfather Mountain with plenty of seating. Plus there is a gas grill on the back deck as well. The covered front porch has additional seating to enjoy the outdoors. The front porch chairs can also be used at the fire pit which is in the front of the home as well.

At "Grandfather View", we believe that nobody should be left behind. Why leave your 4-legged family member home when you can bring them along for the adventure. Well behaved dogs are welcomed for a one-time nonrefundable pet fee of $100 (plus tax) per each dog with management approval.

As you plan your trip to the mountains, please remember we do get rain, snow, ice and some foggy days with occasional inconveniences which are out of our control. Winter weather in the Blue Ridge Mountains can occur from November through April. The majority of our homes are accessed by mountain roads, which will be icy and dangerous in winter weather. For the safety of you and your party, please be prepared to drive in snow and ice. This means 4-wheel drive, good tires, and chains may be necessary. It is YOUR responsibility to be prepared for hazardous road conditions. There will be NO refunds, allowances, or date change resulting from your negligence in this matter.

We had a great stay in the cabin with our family of 5, plus two dogs. Stacey is a kind host, and the property is quiet and stunning! The description of the drive up the mountain is not exaggerated, it is very important to have the appropriate vehicle and safety assurances for the steep, tight, dirt roads, and anticipate them to be icy in the winter.

It was great! Some of the jets in the hot tub werenā€™t working but besides that everything was perfect. The place is beautiful, the kitchen is amazing and well-stocked. Highly recommend!

The place was clean, views were wonderful, the fire pit area was great, and the hot tub was just what we needed at the end of our days! We would stay again! Our only complaint (way too small to make any difference on the rating) was not enough washcloths. Bring your own, there is only one per person and no one wants to have to do laundry everyday on vacation.

The cabin was perfect for my family. The view of Grandfather Mountain was amazing. Perfect mornings sitting on the deck, drinking coffee, and watching the deer play below. The cabin was clean and well stocked. 10/10 would absolutely stay there again.

Nice simple little cabin

Seven Devils is always a favorite. The view of Grandfather Mountain is terrific on this lot. Wildlife abounds. With cold temps and snow we did not sit outside but theres a nice rear deck, front porch, and side deck with a hottub.

Great Secluded Mountain House!

We really enjoyed our time at Grandfather View! The house was clean, and secluded. Wake up to enjoy a cup of coffee while looking at the face of Grandfather View! It is right in the middle of Boone, Baner Elk, grandfather, and Linvilleā€¦.all places we ended up going while we were there! Would definitely stay here again!!

Great Vacation.

We had a lovely stay. The cabin is clean, with a beautiful view of Grandfather Mountain from both the deck and the hot tub. The fire pit is excellent, and you have plenty of privacy. The location is a quick drive to Blowing Rock and Banner Elk. The roads are narrow, but there is very little traffic. We had no issues getting in and out.

Great Mountain House

Perfect place for a small group. Incredibly well equipped kitchen! Brought so many things that I didnā€™t need because they had them. Great views of Grandfather Mountain. Awesome outdoor spaces. Appreciated that we could bring our dogs. They loved it!

Great weekend

We took my 13, soon to be 14 year old son to the mountains for his birthday weekend. He hand picked this cabin for its views and space which neither disappointed. It was nice we were also able to bring along our pups as well which also had a great time lying in front of the fireplace and enjoying the views from the back porch. The family has already designated this as a yearly trip and we plan on staying at Grandfather View again. Thanks to the property manager for such a great experience.

Amazing view and house

Stunning view on the Profile mountain and other top picks! The house is spatial and well equipment, more than we expected by a property management initial email. Stacey is very easy to communicate and help us with all questions. Roads in Seven Devils have big slopes and curves, so be prepared AWD and/or snow chains.

We stayed in this house Sep 16-18, 2016 with 4 adults and 2 children. It had everything we needed to cook breakfast and dinner, the grill was great! The children enjoyed the hot tub and making smores in the fire pit! The home was very clean! Although I did notice that the light in the upstairs bathroom need cleaned out, there are dead bugs inside. And the ceiling fan in the upstairs bedroom with the queen bed needs dusted, there are cob webs. The instructions about the hot tub, trash and checking out were great! Maybe you could include some recommendations of places to eat out. Other than that it is a beautiful house! Thank you for allowing us to be guests.

Great Weekend Getaway

Had a wonderful weekend at Grandfather View. Traveled to the area to spend the weekend tubing for a 10 year olds birthday. The cabin was well appointed and had everything we needed to cook several meals. The view from the living room and loft was amazing.
