The property was pet friendly. The picture on VRBO was nice. The property had overgrown tree and a broken vehicle in the back. That was a little creepy. The inside can use some upgrades. Overall the stay was nice.

Our stay was great. The home was exactly described and worked out perfectly for what we needed. The neighborhood was quiet and parking right out front or in the driveway was helpful.

We had a wonderful stay and the home is very conveniently located in the middle of Portsmouth! There was plenty of room for all of us, and it was the perfect crash pad for the time we were there. The hosts were gracious and communicative and we were very grateful!

Quaint cottage in a quite neighborhood, had a minor issue and the property owner was quick to respo

I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a place to stay in southern Ohio/ portsmouth area

When we arrived there was no light. A motion light on the front porch would be a good idea. There was no furnace and only space heaters. There were very few blankets on the beds. I had 2 very thin stadium blankets on my bed.

There was no central air. One of the rooms had window unit that blew hot air and a hard bed. Other 2 rooms had window units with air. Living room had fireplace that was red tagged. The neighborhood was nice. Parking was difficult getting into drive from main road.

Sometimes breakdown happened. I replaced the unit after the guest checked out because they said they6be olk with the three ac units working. The red tag was just to prevent people from messing with fireplace when it's not season to use. Nothing wrong although ee have planned of putting a new bventless gas log when it's close to winter. Central is on maintenance pending. Tge reason for window ac unitsis to cover for days like this. If guests are just cooperative it eould have been taken cared of soon problems like come to our attention.

I NEVER leave bad reviews, but this place...dear, Lord. First off, we voiced concerns when we learned of issues with heating from another review that was posted AFTER we had booked the house. The predictions during our stay were for temps in the 20s. The review wasn't incorrect. The heat wasn't even on when we got there. Even just entering the house into the tile foyer, FREEZING! There was heat, in 2 rooms(after we turned it on), but only if you close those rooms off from the rest of the house. 2nd floor was unusable as the heat was practically nonexistent, except for a weird ceiling heater/light thing in the bathroom. We had to all sleep in the living room, so thank Sweet Baby Jesus for the large couch and love seat. We ended up leaving a day early due to bad weather predictions for our journey home, and because the family was miserable. Maybe a Spring/Summer/or Fall stay, but definitely not Winter. This could be a very nice place to stay, it does have a lot of that old, Portsmouth house character. But it's not maintained properly and needs quite a bit of work.
