Moose Lodge stay

We couldnā€™t have been happier with our stay at the Moose Lodge. The property was amazing and couldnā€™t have been better suited to keep eight adults and four children happy and busy. Wendy is a fantastic host! The location is perfect and central to the surrounding towns. Everything we needed was provided and waiting for us when we arrived. We will definitely be back and I would highly recommend this property to anyone staying in the Berkshires. It was perfect!

Fantastic property

Our family of 11, including five grandkids, travels together several times a year. This home was by far the most wonderful place we have been to. It is magical. We hope to be back next December.

Beyond All Expectations!

This home is a gift to anyone lucky enough to enjoy it. The hosts are extremely pleasant to work with and very generous in stocking the house with all the essentials, as well as lots of snacks and goodies. We were a group of 13 (four families) that thoroughly made use of the game room, theater and the kitchen, which is a dream to cook in. Canā€™t wait to plan our return!

Incredible Moose Lodge!!

This was the perfect stay for our work retreat!!! Wendy took care of everything - tons of communication, literally everything you need to entertain / cook / hang out. The amenities are stunning - the theater and game room was a highlight for the 15 of us. And the Moose theme is so cool! Couldnā€™t recommend enough :)

Perfect cabin for multigenerational family!

Wendy, thank you for your attentive hosting and making our trip most comfortable! We had a 3-generation mini family reunion and there was plenty of space for entertaining the toddlers, grandparents and adults in between. The home is massive and the woods vast! One of our favorite things is how the home in centered in the middle of the large property/trees, and thus is quite private and no concerns of kids running near a road. The swings outside, the billiards room, the theater, the candy stations, lots of exciting things!

Dream house

The house was beautiful and had everything we could have asked for and more!! The kitchen was an absolute dream kitchen and allowed us to cook some fabulous meals. Perfect set up for cooking inside and out and a big table outside for everyone to gather around. The game room provided maximum entertainment for all and the theater was perfect for winding down at night. The surrounding area is beautiful and made for the perfect stay. Wendy was an extremely helpful and gracious host and just a joy to talk to!! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with friends and family

Unforgettable!!

My family and I had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Moose Lodge this past weekend. The weather was spectacular and we spent nearly all our time outside on the phenomenal outdoor patio. This place has.it.all!! Foosball, pool tables, table hockey, poker, movie theater, corn hole, games...there is something for everyone here! The home is beautifully decorated and has such a homey and inviting atmosphere. We immediately felt at home and didn't want to leave! Several nights we cooked large family meals and the kitchen and outdoor grill area was perfect! The kitchen had everything you could possible need to cook up all your favorite meals and our very large group had no problems with seating or comfort in any way. You will regret NOT staying at this place. I can't imagine a better venue for our family gathering and everyone in my group is already talking about how we can make this happen again. Wendy was a dream to work with and graciously accommodated all of our requests and questions. This was one of the best trips our family has taken. One afternoon we took the 10 min. drive over to Catamount Ski Mountain and all did the thrilling, (longest in the US!) zip line tour which is definitely worth checking out. All in all, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND staying at Moose Lodge!!! Thank you Wendy and Steve!

A Great Home for a Great Time

We had an amazing experience. Wendy is extremely hospitable, the cheerfulness in her voice sets the tone for a great time! The home is beautiful and well prepared. The game room guarantees fun for all ages. The fireplace creates a cozy ambiance. Skiing is super close and it was fun to warm up by the outdoor fire pit. We canā€™t wait to visit again.

Amazing ski weekend!!

You should rent this home - it was amazing in every possible way! We were 6 adults, 7 children (ages 4-10) and stayed for a ski weekend in January during a "bomb cyclone". The house couldn't have been more perfect. Everyone had a super comfortable bed and room, there was a huge amount of space so no one was on top of each other (kids were mostly either in the movie room or the HUGE play room) while adults were in kitchen/great room fireplace area. We had everything we needed to hunker down for the storm - we cooked in, the heat worked well, we had plenty of firewood, and the roads and driveway were cleared first thing in the morning so no problems getting in/out. We skied at Catamount one day and Butternut the other - both 10mins and both great. But it was the special touches that takes this place above and beyond - the candy room, Wendy checking in to make sure we were ok in the storm, the late check-out so we could come back and shower/warm up post a ski day before hitting the road, and more. 13 out of 13 of us loved the home and trip - we'll certainly do it again.

Amazing home, perfect location

This home is truly magnificent and was perfect for our group of 4 families. We have been renting homes together for a decade and this is by far the best house we have ever booked. The home has every convenience you need and so many that you never knew you needed! The ā€œgame roomā€ provides hours of fun and the movie theater was great for a post-skiing activity. The house is located close to Catamount, where we were skiing, and also close to Great Barrington. Wendy was so helpful in providing all the information. We might need and was super responsive. Definitely a five star weekend!

Wonderful Weekend at the Lodge

We had an absolutely wonderful weekend at this property! Scott and Wendy were both super responsive, helpful and very welcoming. The house itself is spacious, very well stocked and extremely comfortable for a group. Whether you want to watch a movie in the theater, play a game of pool or black jack or hit up the candy room you'll never be bored. The outdoor patio, built-in grill and fire pit were a huge hit with our group. The proximity to Great Barrington and all of it's shops and restaurants is a huge plus. We had a magical weekend at the Moose Lodge!

Fabulous property; Exceptional Hosts

Wendy and Scott are what all VRBO hosts should aspire to. I could spend hours writing about how wonderful they were to work with but I think I can sum it up by stating that when you reserve the Moose Lodge, you become part of their family. It's as simple as that. As for the Moose Lodge itself, you really have to experience it in person to understand how amazing it is. Whether you're planning an outing with good friends or a week long family reunion, you can't go wrong with the lodge. Everything is in great condition and is of high quality. It's also STOCKED with everything you can imagine. I must have asked myself "I wonder if they have _____" dozens of times and the answer was always "yes". Always. Do yourself a favor and splurge on the Moose Lodge. You won't regret it a bit.

Amazing house. Great communication. Even better time.

We could not have had a better experience with this rental. We had our immediate families stay at the house and got married in the beautiful front yard and had our reception on the back patio. It was a picture perfect experience. Wendy was so helpful in every step of the way. The large industrial kitchen was perfect for the chef to work his magic and the massive billiards room was excellent for our casino night. The yard and house were spotless and we would love to rent this house again.

Great stay for a large group of friends!

My friends and I (14 of us in total, late 20s/early 30s) were up in the Berkshires for Tanglewood and Jacob's Pillow and had a fantastic time at Wendy's house! The house is extremely large and yet very cozy, and is incredibly well stocked for fun (game room with pool table, foosball, poker, movie theater, candy shop room etc.). This worked out especially well since some of our performances were rained out. We also really enjoyed using the large outdoor patio for cocktail hour (and there's a fire pit, which we didn't use but looks fun). Wendy was extremely responsive and helpful with local recommendations, and check in/out was a breeze. We would definitely rent again!

What an amazing house and experience! The house was the perfect size for our family gathering and had amenities to ensure that everyone had an enjoyable weekend. Scott was very attentive, making sure that any questions we may have had were answered and gave great advice prior to the trip. Upon arrival, we quickly realized that the attention to detail was phenomenal! There was truly nothing lacking, in fact there were many touches that surprised us! There was ample space for all to relax and enjoy, the billiard room and movie room were huge hits! Everything was exceptional, the beds comfortable and the bathrooms were plentiful and simply gorgeous! This was the perfect location for us to reconnect with each other and have a fun weekend. Outstanding, Special!

Spectacular property and setting. A true ā€œwowā€ factor when you walk in as the rooms are beautiful and the furnishings gorgeous. Amazing space and beds/ baths for the extended family. So nice inside we almost didnā€™t go outside. The landscaping and facilities outside arenā€™t shown well in the photos as new stonework, patio and fire pit have just been added. We hung out, played games and sat by the fire here all weekend. Situated on a beautiful large wooded lot, plenty of privacy and room to roam. Quick, easy ride into Great Barrington where thereā€™s plenty of charming stores, and a couple of supermarkets, restaurants etc. A very special and memorable place to gather with family and friends. And Scott, who oversees the property is excellent; responsive, knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend.

Perfectly magical (and safe) Covid Christmas!

We are a family of 9 scattered around the Northeast and desperately wanted to be together in a safe way for Christmas. We chose the Berkshires because it was geographically centrally located for us (and thereā€™s so much to do nearby). What a win it was to find this property. There was plenty of space for us to spread out (even though all had had negative covid tests before arrival) and wonderful, large (yet cozy) spaces to gather together. This home has everything for families of all ages. Our ages ranged from 22-64, but we may as well have been 12 (all of us) when we went from room to room and giggled with excitement. We had tournaments every night in the game room, playing pool, foosball, blackjack and poker. The movie theater accommodated all of us together and it was a blast watching a few holiday favorites on the ā€œbig screenā€. I know other reviewers commented on the candy room - and Iā€™ll just say our group did our best to empty it....and couldnā€™t. Most of our group skied, many hiked and all enjoyed the sauna after a day outside. But when renting a home, the most important things are: Internet access - the house had great internet and fully wired for sound (sonos) everywhere (we have music 24x7), the beds - they are all incredibly comfortable with fine sheets and bedding, the bathrooms - there were too many to count and all luxurious and well stocked, the kitchen - well, itā€™s the finest weā€™ve ever cooked in and fully stocked with everything you can imagine, and a place to gather - we all fit comfortably in the living room to open Christmas gifts Christmas morning. (Wendy was kind enough to have a tree ready for us!) Scott (the property manager) and Wendy (the home owner) were always available to answer any questions we had, and make sure our say was the best it could be. We could not have asked for a more perfect place. Every one of the 9 said it was the most wonderful Christmas ever. This property is not just a rental home, itā€™s a destination.
