You'll love this cozy 1-bedroom + loft, 3-bathroom townhome with breathtaking views of Lake Superior on the North Shore of Minnesota. Whether you're seeking quality time together or moments of solitude, this charming townhome offers the perfect space for both. Situated in Tofte, MN, it boasts unbeatable lakefront views and is conveniently located near Lutsen Ski Resort, Superior National Golf Course, the Superior Hiking Trail, stunning rivers and waterfalls, and the Sugarbush Trails for cross-country skiing. Plus, the North Shore State Bike Trail runs right outside your door!

The upstairs features a spacious lakeside bedroom and a loft for extra sleeping space. The lower level includes a sofa sleeper for additional guests, a bathroom, and a cozy gas fireplace. With a walkout basement, you can easily step outside to take in the sights, sounds, and fresh air of Lake Superior. Please be cautious around the property, as there are some steep slopes near the lawn and common areas. The stairway leading to the beach is on the east end of the property, but please note that the stairs are removed after Labor Day due to potential ice damage.

This townhome is dog- and cat-friendly, so feel free to ask about bringing your four-legged family member along. However, we kindly ask that pets not be left unattended in the townhome at any time.

The base rate accommodates up to 4 guests, with a maximum capacity of 6. A fee of $20 per night applies for each additional guest over 4.

*Please note: Campfires are not permitted on the premises.

We can up for a ski trip to Lutsen and decided to give this place a try. It worked out great! Only 8 min from the hill. The property was very clean, with fully equipped kitchen which we loved. Check in process was a breeze. Perfect for 4 guests. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets! Going to miss the views!

4 adults cannot sleep comfortably. The alcove bed has no privacy and is against a wall, making it difficult for one person to get out. The sofa bed is terrible. It desperately needs a better mattress. The stovetop is difficult. Maybe itā€™s induction. If so, the pots and pans should all be induction.

We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it. Great location and dog friendly. Nikki was very responsive. One suggestion, remove the tree/bush it obstructs the view from the lowest level and deck area.

Location was great especially with the bike path so handy and host was very accommodating with questions. Would have liked more comfortable seating in kitchen area and a chair in the main bedroom for getting ready in the AM. Kitchen was equipped with everything needed.

This place was perfect for the weekend! Stayed here for the Moose Mountain Marathon and it was 10 minutes from the start line and 12 minutes from the finish - perfect in between! The communication was great, check-in was easy and they even had Mexican Train dominos - a family favorite!

The Townhome at Tofty is a very cozy "home away from home"! The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had all that was needed for basic meals, and the living room was laid out well for movies or games or just for hanging out. Of course, the views of the lake were fantastic! Nikki and Todd were very helpful and responded very quickly when we messaged them. We had some personal health issues which resulted in a change of our plans and we were very grateful for the help and accommodations they made for us! I recommend this home without hesitation!

Even better than we expected

This place looked great online, but when we arrived, it exceeded expectations. It is so cozy and the kitchen had everything we needed, great view, great location. We thought we left something behind and heard back very promptly from Nikki. Would definitely return!

The property was very clean (cleaner than most rentals we have had over the years) and the kitchen was well appointed. The view from the bedroom was lovely. The property is reasonably priced and I felt it was a good value for what we got. The beach area was great, especially for adults or kids who love to rock hunt as it is a rock beach. I purchased a lake superior rock book in Grand Marias and my daughter had a great time identifying rocks. I love getting my steps in so I did not mind all of the stairs to get down to it, but that may be difficult for small children or older folks. It was enough space for our family of four but the basement pullout bed our son slept in could use an upgrade. The loft bed was very nice. Noise through the wall from the adjoining unit was a bit bothersome at times, but that comes with a condo or townhouse stay. A second TV in the bedroom would be a good addition for rainy days when you are stuck in the house all day, we had a few of those. There were four of us and we were provided with exactly four bath towels, having had a couple more would have been nice as a woman with long hair to have another towel to wrap my hair with after showering. The bedroom pillows were exceedingly thick/firm which hurt my neck to sleep on but I usually sleep on a flat pillow. All and all it was a nice stay and whomever they use to turnover the unit is doing a wonderful job it really was spotless which I greatly appreciate in a rental.

Cute Condo

We loved the condo and felt the description adequately represented the unit. The host was communicative and entry was seamless. The main bed was comfortable and had nice bedding. We wished it was a King, but the Queen was fine. The unit was well equipped and included enough laundry soap, paper towerls, and tp - which is unexpected and nice. There was also a few spices, coffee filters, and coffee. As others have said, the bedrooms, kitchen, and livingroom are on different levels so I would not recommend if steps are a challenge. There are also 95 steps down to beach area but it is well worth the effort as the beach is private and gorgeous. The unit is 3 miles from Tofte and there are some restaurants and a grocery store there. It is also right on the bike trail. Overall, we loved the unit and would definitely return.

I stayed here while doing the Lutsen 99r mountain bike race. It's in a perfect location. The condo is beautiful, with an awesome view of Lake Superior. I could have stayed there for weeks, but I only stayed for two days. Will definitely stay again.

Hiking in the Spring and downhill skiing and cross-country skiing in the winter are some of our favourite activities. We also enjoy the peaceful, unspoiled nature of the area and enjoy relaxing away from busy city life.
