Hi Sarah, We are so sorry you had problems with the condition of the pull out bed. It is so seldom used. We clewan after each use, but we will need to be vigilant to check it when larger parties are booked. We have not had mice issues for several years, and the bed had been used since then, so it is surprising there were mouse droppings. Thank you for your input. We do apologize if you feel misled in any way. That was definitely not our intention. This is our first vacation rental, and we are doing our best to be top quality and provide a great experience for everyone. We attempted to get a picture of the cabin showing the street alongside, but that has not yet been possible. We will continue to pursue that. We do say in our description that the cabin sits right on the edge of the historic downtown, and the map shows its location on the edge of town. We will emphasize that more. We do not ever say it is located in the woods, and have never meant to convey that. We apologize if you thought that. The historic pub is approximately 100' away from the cabin, with a well maintained, fenced in, grass yard between the two. You will occasionally see families there having pizza. It's interior is amazing, with historic memorabilia throughout. It was originally an automotive shop. The swinging bridge was completely rebuilt approximately 4 years ago, and inspected and repaired where necessary prior to the annual Belt Rodeo last spring. The creek water flow varies with the seasons. This time of year, water flow is minimal. We will change our description to reflect that. We will review our listing and try to make sure this misunderstanding does not happen again. We appreciate your input, which allows us to clarify and prevent any future misunderstanding. Hi April, So sorry you had those issues while at the cabin. The city of Belt is doing a major water system upgrade, which means they are digging up every street, and replacing water pipe, and that requires gravel and dirt trucks to drive up and down the streets repeatedly throughout the day. That is the source of the busy road, and the source of the dust everywhere. We dust and clean the cabin thoroughly after each use. The "pink mold" on the shower curtain is actually rust. The Belt water has high iron content, and even more so, since they have been working on things. Also, Belt lost both wells this past year, and have replaced one, which also causes disturbances to the water. My cleaning person is very detailed, but she apologizes that she missed seeing the iron buildup on that section of the curtain. We realize the vinyl on the living room seat has tears, and have been looking for a fabric one to replace it. We are having some difficulty finding one that is not a light color. Hoping to have that solved soon. Hopefully. We have no idea how antacid tablets got under the fitted sheet! That is a new one! Makes no sense how that could happen. lol We are glad to hear you would like to stay again. Thank you for your input, and hopefully, those issues will not be there when you return. I apologize that the cooler did not do a better job. It may be that the unit needed more ice? In any case, we are installing a bigger unit in the next week or so, so that should take care of it. Thank you for your kind words.
