Welcome to our backyard paradise! Weā€™d like to invite you to relax in our country loft, overlooking an inground pool, koi pond, firepit and pavilion. Our home, surrounded by organic crops, sits on 115 acres, evoking a sense of peace and tranquility. You are welcome to enjoy a fire in the pit, or swim in the heated pool when the weather permits. We are conveniently located 3 miles between Gambier and Kenyon College and Mount Vernon and the Nazarene University. This is a private stand alone, unit with a private entrance and driveway located in our backyard above a workshop. It is accessed via a stairway and is not suitable for people with limited mobility. It is a spacious 968 square foot, one bedroom apartment with a fully equipped kitchen, 65 inch TV, and top of the line, Olhausen pool table and matching tabletop shuffleboard for your entertainment. It is game themed with lots of natural light, rustic in dĆ©cor, but loaded with amenities. The kitchen cupboards are made from recycled barn siding with corrugated tin inserts that came from an old barn. The kitchen countertops are made from zinc that over time develops a beautiful patina and the bar countertop is a walnut live edge slab. The cozy bedroom features a queen size bed with 100% cotton sheets, small TV and antique dresser to store your belongings. The roomy bathroom features a corner shower stocked with R & R Essentials toiletries. The living room, with a comfortable La-Z-Boy sofa, matching chair and recliner will make you feel right at home. We are truly in the country but close to town. We live on a less traveled country road where you can take a walk and enjoy all the sounds that nature has to offer or sit by the koi pond and watch the fish as you listen to the rush of water cascading over the rocks into the pond. We will greet you upon arrival and will be here for your assistance, but not in your way. Whether you are here on business, visiting family or just wanting a romantic getaway, this is the place for you. Wont you come and see for yourself!

The hosts Patti and Dan were exceptionally helpful, warm and accomidating. The apartment was spotless and well stocked with snacks and supplies. We greatly enjoyed our time on their beutiful property and highly recommend this VRBO.

This rental had everything we needed and more to stay the weekend near our daughterā€™s college. Clean, comfy, quiet and cool farmhouse decor. The owner was so helpful. We even enjoyed a fire in the firepit.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The owners were extremely responsive and friendly. There were so many little extra touches that made us feel like we were visiting family. The bedding and towels are very nice, everything was clean and kitchen is well stocked. The yard is just gorgeous and very relaxing. The pool is heated and perfect. We had fun playing shuffleboard. There is a lot to do within 10 minutes or less including restaurants, community theater, farmers market, shops etcā€¦ We are looking forward to a return trip.

Clean and cozy...home away from home!

We absolutely loved our time there. Patti met us when we arrived to show us around. The loft was so cutely decorated, immaculately clean, and instantly you felt like you were home away from home. The bed was very comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was great. The snacks in the kitchen, sodas in the fridge, and the toiletries in the bathroom were a nice touch. We cannot wait to come back and stay next year! Thanks again!

Weekend at Kenyon

We had a great weekend stay at Dan and Pattiā€™s delightful property. They greeted us upon our arrival and made us feel right at home. The country loft was very well appointed and decorated, and immaculately clean. The pool table and shuffleboard table provided great entertainment for our guests. Itā€™s very conveniently located, close to Kenyon and Mt Vernon. Dan and Patti offered us the use of their beautiful backyard, including a firepit, heated pool and koi pond. We will definitely book here again!
