Large wine country house on private vineyard

3,600 square foot split level home perched on a knoll surrounded by a 6-acre working merlot vineyard.

The home was custom built by our father and is tastefully decorated and is extremely spacious and comfortable. It is complete with all the amenities to make your vacation getaway special.

On the upper level, as you enter through the main door, a living room awaits you boasting a wood burning fireplace and large picturesque windows offering a panoramic view of the vineyard and Duncan Peak. Off the living room you will find a formal dining room that comfortably seats 10. A perfect place to break bread and share a delicious meal with your family and friends.

Off the dining room, is a well equipped kitchen with a new built-in refrigerator. The kitchen also contains 2 ovens, a four burner gas cook top and an additional dining area comfortably seating 4.

Adjacent to the kitchen is a family room with another wood burning fireplace, TV (no TV service), wireless internet Blu-Ray Disc/DVD player and iPod/iPhone docking station. Off the family and formal dining room is a spacious deck overlooking the vineyard. A perfect place to sit back and enjoy the sunset with your favorite glass of Mendocino County wine or an alfresco dinner on the outdoor table.

Also on the upper level is a full bath with shower, laundry room and bar area complete with an ice maker and built-in blender. A great place to make your margarita or favorite smoothie.

The bottom level contains 4 bedrooms. The master suite has a king size bed, walk-in closet as well as a full size bath. A sliding glass door opens to the bottom deck overlooking the vineyard. A great place to sit and enjoy your morning coffee or tea.

2 additional bedrooms share a full bath. One bedroom has 2 twin beds and the other has a queen bed.

The fourth bedroom has 2 twin beds and its own full bath with shower. A sliding glass door off the bedroom also opens to the lower deck overlooking the vineyard.

If you having or are attending a wedding at one of Hopland's wedding venues, such as, Red Barn, Brutocao Contento Vineyard, Campovida, Nelson Family Vineyards or Jeriko Estate, our home is located minutes from these event sites.

This is a lovely house. Big enough for a large family and friends gathering. Adriane is a perfect host. She is always there for you. Very welcoming and helpful for any or your needs in the house. We will definitely be back!

Wedding weekend in Hopland

I had a fantastic weekend, the amenities provided exceeded my expectations. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals. The spacious living area was perfect for gathering and relaxing. Additionally, the location was great, 5 minutes from Red Barn wedding venue. I particularly enjoyed the outdoor space; it was a lovely spot for morning coffee. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend this house to others looking for a perfect weekend getaway!

Large House in Wine Country

The house is very large, well maintained and stocked with everything you may need. The hosts were very responsive to requests. There was a wine/treat basket and personal note waiting for us on arrival and instructions on how to use everything. Surrounded by beautiful vineyards and located near many wineries and event venues. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Daughter's Wedding

The house is amazing. We stayed here because our daughter was getting married at Red Barn Ranch and this house is only 5 minutes away. The house was clean, thoughtful decorated and made you feel right at home. The views are amazing in the morning with coffee.

Hopland - Fantastic Experience - Exceeded Expectations

My husband and I booked the home for a friends wedding. Our mother and the grandmother of the groom stayed with us and we had plenty of privacy and space. All the rooms were immaculate and the outdoor deck and seating areas were perfect. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets and explored the local small country roads by foot. It was also less than a mile walk into town. The house was well-stocked and we would recommend this location to anyone visiting the Hopland area. We hope to return again just to explore the local wineries. Gratitude to our wonderful hosts for an amazing gift basket packed with treats and wine and for excellent communication and instructions. If we could give 6 stars we would.

This house is a beautiful home and has the most amazing views. Layout is great as all bedrooms are downstairs so you can entertain upstairs without disturbing anyone. I would highly recommend staying here!

Wonderful house with its own vineyard. The two decks were perfect for sitting out during the day and at night for star gazing. Four bathrooms! A nice welcome basket was waiting for us that included a bottle of wine and several snacks and a nice welcome note! Thank you!

Absolutely Wonderful

Our family was in town for our daughters wedding at Red Barn Ranch and we couldnā€™t have asked for a home more conveniently located, more comfortable or more spacious. The hosts were wonderful to work with. Other reviews accurately describe the retro decor and generous amenities so I wonā€™t repeat those. I will, however, say that everything is pristine. We had a perfect stay and would recommend this property to anyone staying in the Hopland area!

Wedding Weekend

We booked this location many months ago when my son announced his engagement. The location was perfect. Literally 2 miles from the venue the accommodations were great. It was just a beautiful place to stay only one small recommendation. Is that you have some sort of cable TV or to any other streaming other than Netflix. Other than that it was a perfect weekend.

Fantastic House

House was amazing. So big that our group of 8 didnā€™t even venture into the living room. Kitchen had every gadget imaginable - 7 cheese graters!! Big decks with plenty of comfortable furniture. Owners very helpful, answering all of our many questions before we arrived. Quiet location with the most notable sound being the braying of a distant neighborā€™s donkey

We had the best time staying at this VRBO. It was absolutely beautiful inside & out. It felt like a dream. The hosts were very responsive and helpful throughout our booking and stay! If I ever visit this area again I would love to stay here again! Couldnā€™t recommend more

Incredible House and Views

I canā€™t say enough wonderful things about this home. Wished we could have stayed longer but definitely want to go back. It was beautiful, immaculate, large, had awesome views from every angle of the house, stocked with everything you could need and top-of-the-line appliances. The owners were very quick to respond to questions and/or concerns. It was so peaceful, away from the city and surrounded by vineyards. We were there for my nieceā€™s wedding less than five minutes from the wedding venue. Unfortunately there was a PG&E power outage the night before, which lasted over 12 hours, and since the property has its own well, we also had no water. You can imagine the panic of a few of the women needing to get ready for the wedding. The owners were so helpful by calling PG&E, instructing us where to find a key to get into a locked closet for extra water, mostly to flush toilets, offering their own home within 15 minutes away to get ready for the wedding. Also, the house was stocked with more than enough flashlights and lanterns. Fortunately the power did return about five hours before the wedding. Hopland is such a beautiful and quant little town with restaurants and a tap house. Several wineries are nearby, and the tasting rooms we visited had the friendliest people working there. I highly recommend this rental for families, girlsā€™ weekends, wedding guests of local wedding venues, and holiday gatherings.

Excellent home!

My extended family recently stayed here for a family member's wedding at Red Barn a d we could not have been any closer, Les dthan 5 minutes away. The house is immaculate and very well furnished. It maybe be old in years but not in looks and is very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen.has everything that you could need and a large dining area for the whole famy. Beautiful views of upper and lower decks and a friendly neighborhood kitty likes to visit! We appreciated the welcomed basket of goodies and cold waters in the fridge. The hosts were responsible and answered any questions quickly. Loved drinking my coffee in the morning on the deck overlooking the vineyards. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Wonderful Home and Property

Adriane and Charlotte are wonderful hosts and my family really enjoyed our stay at the property. Very clean and comfortable! Most of all we loved the well stocked kitchen that had everything we needed to cook for a large family - especially love the well stocked spice collection. If you are looking for a relaxing get a way in the wine country - highly recommended.

Relax in the California wine country

This property is peaceful and situated in a working vineyard. There are country views from the deck and from various windows upstairs. The house has been extremely well maintained and was imaculate.

Thoughtfully Perfect

The home and location is as stunning as presented. What doesn't show is the attentive detail that ownership has taken to make sure you are welcome and your stay will be perfect (gift basket, coffee, games, water in the frig, small bedside flashlights, loving notes about how to treat the exceptionally friendly neighborhood kitty, etc). Thoroughly enjoyed staying in this spacious home that has been maintained in a just built condition. Being a designer built home in probably the early 70's it has a very specific "grand parents" home vibe - both furnishings and the home layout. But while the furnishings are old - they are in pristine condition. It's like going back in time and staying in your grand parents home while they are away. Except your grand parents could design their own custom home to sit on an oak studded knoll top surrounded by vineyards. Hopland doesn't get any better.

Fantastic retreat in Hopland, wonderful place to spend time with family!

We had a wonderful stay with family over Thanksgiving week in Adriane and Charlotte's Hopland home. Adriane and Charlotte sent detailed messages prior to our arrival so that we would know what to expect when we arrived. Since we would be there for Thanksgiving, we sent them questions about kitchen supplies and they not only responded quickly with a list of what they had available, but also sent photos of the pots, pans, and spices in the kitchen. The home itself is wonderful, with beautiful views of the vineyard from the common areas as well as the bedrooms. The home is well-stocked with everything we needed during our stay and we felt very welcomed by the basket full of goodies. We were able to spend time with family walking around the area, cooking and enjoying meals together, and cozying up by the fireplace in the evenings. For older guests, one thing we wish had been noted in the description is the 17 stairs from the upper to the lower level (it does say split-level in the description, but typically this means fewer stairs since the levels are less than one story apart). Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back to visit again. Thank you Adriane and Charlotte for letting us enjoy your Hopland home!
