Creature's Retreat - a northern Wisconsin cabin in Price County

Come to the Northwoods and enjoy the serenity it has to offer and stay in a relaxing atmosphere. This retreat is just what you always dreamed of. It is fully furnished in an outdoor theme. It will sleep six to eight comfortably with two bedrooms with a queen size bed in each and a loft with 1 queen bed and 1 double bed.

You can relax and enjoy the view of two ponds and the wildlife that wander through. There are woods roads for hiking or skiing. The road the cabin is located on is open to ATVs and snowmobiles, and it is connected to the snowmobile trail half mile away. The cabin is located within three miles of Price County Forest Land and ten miles from the Chequamegon National Forest.

Pets are welcome but they must be in your immediate contact. No pets on furniture of beds. If you leave cabin, pets must be kenneled or outside. No pets are to be locked in rooms. Do not let your pets do their business near cabin. Take them in the lawn or woods. Please clean up poop in the lawn. Please make sure pets do not do their business inside cabin.
There will be a pet charge of $45/per pet/per stay.

Also fire pit and free wood for campfires.
Wagon rides available upon appointment
Free WiFi

The base rate is $95/night for 1-2 people. Additional guests are $20/person/night
Pet fee of $45 per pet/per stay.

Our experience was mostly positive with a few negatives. On the plus side the house was clean and comfortable. It is located on a long drive that goes past the owner's home, which provided both privacy and a sense of security. The spacious and natural setting offered plenty of room to walk our dog and an inviting outdoor seating area. A few things that detracted from our stay included: the stairs to the loft have an almost ladder-like pitch and the treads are narrow, which made navigating them at night challenging. The collection of dated and deteriorated non-stick cookware left something to be desired; one or two metal pots and skillets would be a good addition. Their condition motivated us to have breakfast at Bonnie’s Café in Phillips (highly recommended). We were unable to access the wifi because the password was not accepted. The password was hand written and and we were not entirely sure of some of the letters. Three of us tried every combination we could think of to no avail. The owner was not home but offered to stop by later, but we had retired by that time. The lack of wifi posed a problem for us because due to rainy weather we needed to rethink our plans for the next day. There were clear instructions for the shower and the kitchen, but none for how to leave the place, so we did what we are normally instructed to do: strip the beds and round up the trash, and hoped that was OK.

Such a beautiful property! We needed a place to stay in between the upper Keweenaw Peninsula and Indiana, and this was perfect! The cabin was clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed for our stay and then some. We especially enjoyed all the wildlife! We saw several deer and turkeys. Loved hearing the birds in the morning! We had our dogs with us and they loved it as well! Our hosts responded immediately when we had a question, and were on sight if we needed anything. It was truly a joy staying here. I would recommend it to anyone in the area, and would definitely stay here again! Thank you so much for a warm and welcoming place to stay during our travels!

Truly a Restful Place

We were just there overnight, but it was a wonderful place to rest, with the rain, we didn’t get to be outside, but property is beautiful and begging to be explored! Thank you for your hospitality!

Relax in nature's serenity

We had a great stay here! Very quiet oasis surrounded by beautiful nature. Saw several deer steps away from the cabin, and the peaceful sounds of frogs from the two nearby ponds never got old. I definitely recommend this place if you want to go to the Northwoods and get away from urban life for a while.

Good place for hiking and fishing

Stayed for 3 days 2 nights and climbed up Tim's Hill also fished in Philips a nearby town the cabin was cozy and weather was great when we went up there

The property was beautiful. They kept their property very clean and the scenery was nice to be around. If it hadn't rained the entire time we were there we could have explored more of the land and Prentice. The house was clean and very cozy. We were able to meet the owner and he was very nice to talk to.

Beautiful cabin and location with peace & quiet amongst musical nature. Husband and I really enjoyed our 2 night stay while visiting son nearby. All our needs were accommodated. Comfortable beds and cozy decor throughout. Privacy and excellent communication with hosts. We will definitely stay again on future visits. Really liked this place settled in the Northwoods

Great for our pups!

Loved that the place was tucked in away from the road and didn’t have to worry about our dogs as they could roam around! Lots of things to do around the area! We checked out Fred Smith concrete statues and dogs joined us! Also went into Phillips and did a nice walk along the lake. Checked out and highly recommend Timm’s Hill County park and found the most amazing hiking trails! We also then took a drive to Sackett lake beach and took the pups swimming. Was a great vacation with the dogs!

Weekend get away

Cute little cottage in a very nice, serene setting. It’s also pet friendly which we greatly appreciated. It looks like some nice trails on the property but the mosquitoes were pretty awful when we were there, so were not able to check them out. If you are summer guests bring the skeeter spray. But the property is beautiful!
