2 Bedroom/1 Bathroom; Sleeps 4-6 - Great Cabin Close to Town.

This cabin sits along the Lake Fork of the Gunnison River about one mile from Historic downtown Lake City. There is a covered front porch to enjoy looking out towards the river with a beautiful grassy area to enjoy. This cabin has a full kitchen, living room, one bedroom with a queen sized bed and one bedroom with a full bed as well as a full bathroom. You can walk to your favorite restaurant or shopping in Historic downtown Lake City or go for an evening ice cream treat at the Soda Fountain. Miniature Golf is just a short walk away as well. You will be visited by the local deer most days as they love to lay in the grass by the cabin. Your pets are welcome at this cabin - come and enjoy!

Beautiful view!

We loved our cabin, it was clean and very cute! Beautiful view from the porch and close to everything! Property mgr was great! Highly recommended!

The Perfect Spot

Blue Sky Cabin was the perfect size for our family of five and as it turned out was the perfect place to fish! The camp was very well kept and the grass was green! The kids loved it and we loved the fact that the river was close and not deep. The cabin was a perfect little gem for us!

Great Labor Day Weekend

Fishing, hiking, playing with grandchildren! This cabin was awesome with the outdoor picnic table, huge green lawn to play on, fish in the river and a quick drive to the town. The cabin was perfect for our family. Thank you

Good but some things lacking

Contacted the property manager the first day with some minor issues, and she never got back to me. We managed, but there were light bulbs missing, and two more went out while we were there. The hooks on the doors were too high to be useful. There were only three bowls for a cabin that sleeps six. The cabin was clean, and we enjoyed our stay, but the small amenities mentioned should be easily fixed by property management.

Better than the description.

This property has three key features that should be appreciated. 1) The cabin itself was exactly as represented. Clean. Good shape. Comfortable. 2) The park-like back yard was large, well maintained and very enjoyable. Lots of potential for a family to enjoy. 3) The river behind the cabin is much larger than the pictures indicate. I caught a 16-17" Rainbow trout on my fly rod. Really made this stay special. I usually hope my stay anywhere to rise to the level of the description being offered.. This one exceeded the description.

Fantastic time

We had a great time at the blue sky cabin. It was perfect for our trip to Lake City. We decided to add a day to our stay and Tannah made that super easy for us.. I would recommend it to everyone.. we will definitely stay there again if we come back

Lake city cabin

We love Lake City !! Our cabin was nice & had everything we needed ... Cabin 11 needs new blinds in the front windows ..: Soltows cabin was great !! & we would definitely rent again ... Gorgeous views & loved being on the river ...

Great cabin with a beautiful view

Blue Sky Cabin was perfect for my husband & I to get away from the August heat of a Texas summer. Tannah was absolutely great to work with. This is our 9th HomeAway rental. Properties have all been good, but Tannah was, hands down, the best manager we've ever worked with! Very responsive and informative!! Cabin was spotless, bed was very comfortable. Right off main highway, but very quiet. Flatscreen tv, but no DVD player or videos, just fyi, so take your own. We used husband's laptop as player to watch dvds at night. Local grocery has limited rental but some fairly recent ones in their inventory. Very limited channel selection if you end up stuck in cabin for all or part of a rainy day. Also no Wi-Fi in this cabin. 4 stars for that & no kitchen basics. Will need to take/buy whatever spices, sprays, etc. needed for cooking. Ample dinnerware, cookware, flatware. Only 2 kitchen towels so take if you need more. Took my own kitchen knives so can't speak to those. Also, living room furniture VERY uncomfortable. Not really welcoming after a long day exploring the area either on foot or w/jeep. We go for beauty of area & not shopping/dining. However, San Juan Soda Co. has fabulous ice cream! More flavors than you can count! Try a vanilla soda float w/toasted coconut ice cream!! Yum Yum!! Also Southern Vittles is a great place to eat. Large selection & everything we tried was good. The little Christmas shop is very small but lots of cute things. Even a few antiques. Lots of collectible Nativity scenes. Owners VERY kind & friendly as was everyone we met & interacted w/in Lake City. Visited little Hinsdale County Museum. Very interesting & informative of area's history. Best jeep/OHV rental in town is at Pleasant View Resort. Nita & Jim are wonderful to work with! Jim is very informative about jeep/OHV trails in area. Set us up to see some really gorgeous sights! Rene, at Rene's Auto Repair & Sales is also awesome. Helped us out when we had an issue with transmission fluid in our Expedition. All in all a great stay!!! If LR furniture is changed out & Wi-Fi added, we most definitely would stay in this cabin again! However, Tannah was most gracious in allowing us to use her office Wi-Fi, even leaving us there when she had to run home for a bit, when my husband had some work to do in the middle of the week. I told you she was AWESOME!!! Thanks again, Tannah!

One of our favorite places

As always we enjoyed our time at Ox Yoke cabin in Lake City. The scenery is amazing and everything was quiet and welcoming. I was a little disappointed that there was no wifi. We took advantage of free wifi at the internet coffee shop. The library wifi was not accessible and the sign on the door said it was "sketchy." We loved the new LCBC - Lake City Brewing Company. The brats were tasty and so was the beer.
