Great location! Walking distance to south beach and the center of town. The size was perfect for a small family. My kids enjoyed the Nintendo games. The house is older and could use a coat of paint and other minor updates. All in all it was a nice stay.

A wonderful cottage for a small family with kids. There were a few hiccups with initial communication, but the host was responsive when I reached out. The kids had a hard time adjusting to the air conditioner noise upstairs but this got better once they got used to it. Kids loved the old school video games and got to learn proper technique for blowing in the cartridges! The whole family was asking when we could come back!

I’m not sure where to start with this property. First, it was outdated compared to the pictures and not clean. There was hair on the sheets and in the shower upon arrival. The bathroom ceilings are moldy from water damage. We found multiple ants. We debated getting a hotel instead because of how bad it was, but decided to tough it out for the 2 nights since we figured we would not get a refund. The pictures do not accurately show this property. The main bedroom came with only 2 flat photos, it was not a full set as shown in pictures. The backyard chairs is directly next to the neighbors house so there is no privacy. Overall, I would not stay here. The location was nice but it was noticeably one of the worst in the neighborhood. Would it recommend.

Cleanliness is something we take very seriously, and what you described is not the standard we strive to provide. Every home is thoroughly cleaned and inspected prior to each guest's arrival, and we also send a text message before check-in asking guests to let us know immediately if they encounter any issues so we can address them right away. During your stay, we did not receive any communication regarding these concerns. Had we been made aware, we would have done everything possible to resolve them while you were there. We have shared your comments with our cleaning team and are reviewing the concerns you mentioned, including the bathroom ceiling, bedding, and pest control. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the photos and furnishings. We continually evaluate our listings to ensure they accurately represent the property and will review the photos to make sure guest expectations are aligned with what they will experience. While we're glad you enjoyed the location, we're disappointed that the home itself did not provide the experience we aim to deliver. It's also worth noting that this home has consistently received positive reviews from previous guests, and we use the same professional cleaning team that has successfully cared for the property.

This house was amazing for a girls' weekend at the beach! The house was very charming and perfect for our group; the fire pit was also a nice addition at the end of each day. The host was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. They even shipped back a forgotten pillow for me once I realized I left it in the house. We would all stay at this house again. Thank you!

Great location

We loved our stay! 5 min walk from the beach we just brought a wagon and pulled all our things. They supplied multiple beach chairs which was nice. It was a 10 minute walk into town so we rarely ever drove anywhere. Only downside was the twin beds in the loft were up a tight spiral staircase and would easily hit head in the loft. We didn’t have any children but that would be a perfect space just maybe not for adults! Overall had a great time and it was very easy to communicate with the rental company!

Quaint Superior St Home

This was our first visit to South Haven. It was beautiful. The street and town were quaint, beautiful, and idyllic. The Devonshire is located on a beautiful street with a five minute walk to South Beach. It was also a short walk to downtown and the Marina. The home was equipped with beach chairs, a wagon, and umbrella. We enjoyed many walks and bike rides. The home kitchen was well equipped for cooking. We used the grill in the evenings to cook dinner. The screened in porch and the backyard were perfect for coffee drinking, dinner eating and lots of conversation. The spiral staircase is a bit tricky so be slow when going up and down. We left our kids suitcases downstairs. Our kids enjoyed sharing the attic bedroom. The home is small, but very lovely and worked great for our family.

We had a great time! Kitchen was well stocked and the additional half bath was a bonus! Beds are comfortable. Low ceilings make it a little challenging for tall people (5’9” plus), but otherwise a perfect cottage. We hope to come and stay again!
