Eisenhower resided here for 3 months as he trained officers for trench warfare after the United States entered World War I. Nestled within what was once the heart of a U.S. Army Cavalry Post, this cozy yet spacious one-bedroom apartment in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia offers modern comfort with a touch of history.



This space provides an inviting and comfortable living room - with ample seating and a large screen tv, it's the perfect spot for relaxing after a day of exploring. The living room sofa also provides a comfortable pullout queen sofa. The large bedroom has a king-size bed, along with a daybed, sitting area, a large screen tv and a laundry area with a full size washer and dryer. Enjoy meals in a bright kitchen, equipped with full size appliances, and windows overlooking the stunningly renovated officer homes and original polo field. The apartment also provides a large full bathroom, with tub/shower combo.

Originally completed in 1904, the cavalry post was once the “Largest and Finest” in the U.S., housing 50 officers, 1,100 enlisted men, and 1,000 horses. All dogs must be in a crate when guests are not at the home and must be on a leash to comply with local laws and as there are other pets/wildlife in the area. To keep the property/neighborhood clean and tidy, please pick up after your dog(s) with provided waste bags. We ask that dogs are kept off furniture.
