Romantic Getway Steps from the Beach

Romantic bungalow located 250m from Pelican Beach at the quiet eastern end of beautiful Grace Bay. Accommodation consists of one bedroom with a king sized bed, generous walk-in closet and en suite showerroom. Bright open plan living / dining area with sofa which converts to a queen sized bed perfect for a second couple or older child. Chicco Playyard available for infant on request. The kitchen contains a double sink, stainless steel fridge/freezer, gas range, coffee maker and microwave. Frigidaire brand top loading washer / front loading dryer for laundry located in cupboard off living area. There is a westerly facing fully screened in rear porch perfect for catching sunsets whilst avoiding bugs, and an external sun deck with gas BBQ.

The place was really nice as described. Very comfortable and inviting. It seems to be an older home, but nicely renovated and furnished.We enjoyed having breakfast on the screened porch. The surrounding area is peaceful for relaxing and the nearby beach is lovely.The host was easy to communicate with and answered any questions we had.

The location is primo. We were stunned by Pelican Beach (just a 5-minute walk) and for the most part had the entire strip of beach to the point all to ourselves. Leeward settlement is definitely the way to go if you prefer privacy, tranquility, and nature over the endless parasols and beach lounges found at Grace Beach.We savored sunrise and sunset walks on the beach.We are so glad we chose this cottage over our other choice of studio bedroom with screened-in living area. We both agreed that we wouldn’t have been comfortable with an outdoor living area. We took refuse from the heat and intensity of the sun during the day, and appreciated the a/c for that.This little villa is darling, perfect for our needs as a couple cooking in most days, well-equipped kitchen, super comfy bed with nice linens and a/c in the bedroom. The layout was practical, with a screened-in porch and large back deck. The proximity to a hose to wash off the sandy before entering was a blessing.For an extra treat we had Natrice and Vivian from Turquoise Paradise Spa & Salon provide a heavenly double massage in home. We both agreed it was one of the best massages we’ve ever had.We hope to return. Grateful for this experience.

Steps From Paradise

The property was perfect. It is bigger than the pictures make it seem. Check-in was seamless, and communication with the host and property manager was timely and thorough. The property is less than a 4-minute walk from a beautiful beach that is rarely crowded.This property has everything you need for an unforgettable vacation in Turks & Caicos!

Everything we needed

Bed was very comfy. A/C was more than ample. Great screened in porch area. Easy walk to the beach. Easy drive to the ferry and into town. Quiet neighborhood. Though we did see fireworks out the window one night! We found all the kitchen staples we needed and it was great to have a few bottles of water in the fridge to start. We never did find any plastic wrap or foil. Some things were dated. We did think the TV is small and at loudest, hard for my wife to hear. The coffee maker also isn't the best. The shower pressure is low, but there is plenty of hot water and we got used to it quickly. Washer/dryer was terrific. We hope we can come back soon.

Cute Cottage

Cute cottage house. Had everything we needed. Location was great and near to the beaches. Beautiful neighborhood. We walked around the neighborhood every morning and down to the beach at sunset. Bed was comfortable. Loved the screened in porch. We sat out there for every meal. We really enjoyed the place. It was a very relaxing vacation for us. Would definitely stay again.

Winter Getaway

My sister and I loved this place. It was exactly as described. We spent our days exploring Provo and a day on Middle Caicos. We snorkeled several times and took an ocean kayak in the mangroves to name a few things and came back to this pleasant quiet house. Great location. We had a wonderful week!

Beautiful property!

A lovely home in a quiet neighborhood, this property is a gem! The owners were very attentive and responsive. The home was near enough the more commercial Grace Bay area to allow for easy access, yet far enough away to escape the crowds. Perfect for us!

Hummingbird Guesthouse

Another wonderful stay at Hummingbird! Walking distance to Pelican beach and has all the immenities required for a week at the beach. Kitchen fully appointed and beach chairs/umbrellas make it so easy. Keep up the great work and love the latest updates to the cottage!

House not as advertised

I have been on many Caribbean vacations and have never been more disappointed with my stay. The house is in a great area and the owner did communicate in a timely response but the house is not pictured as advertised. The kitchen looks completely different. The countertops are literally 2 pieces of plywood that are glued together and the entire thing lifts up. Same for the bathroom. The small TV in the living room is sitting on 2 side tables and the Netflix stopped working after 2 days. The outdoor furniture was laughable. They had 4 tall bar stools with no table, and a "couch" that sat on the floor. For the shower faucet, you had to use all your force to pull it out. The bed frame is made out of 2x10's. Worst of all, when we got there, they had 3 umbrellas and 2 of them were broken. The next day, we attempted to use the 1 umbrella and it broke within 10 minutes. I have never in my life seen an umbrella so cheap. It was as thin as a piece of paper and was tied to the 1/16" pole with sewing string (no sarcasm). After that broke, I reached out to the owner to replace the umbrella with something not as flimsy. He informed me these were the only umbrellas on the island.. haha OK. Overall, I would not book this house again. If they would put $20-30K into it, it would have a lot of potential.

Our 35th Wedding anniversary

We celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary in Turks and Caicos, and this cottage made our trip unforgettable. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the beautiful beach. The cottage itself was cozy, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed every moment in this lovely VRBO and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and charming getaway. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Comfortable house in great location

We loved staying in this spacious and comfortable house in a quiet neighborhood close to wonderful swimming. The owners kindly switched to fragrance free detergent upon my request. The AC is quiet and effective. The house is well equipped in every area and we greatly appreciated the reasonable price. The few slight improvements would be a recycling bin and a dimmer switch in the kitchen. We plan on returning asap. Highlights were the beaches, snorkeling at Smith’s reef and dinner at Opus restaurant. Thanks!!!
