The Retro Safari Tent is awesome for seamless indoor/outdoor living. Open living with an expanded terrace for sipping sundowners, watching wildlife and spectacular stargazing. The kitchen is well-equipped, refrigerator, Keurig, air fryer & microwave, but the chances are you’ll be enjoying a sizzling BBQ and catching up with friends around the firepit.

The Retro Safari Cabin comfortably sleeps 5 guests in two separate bedrooms sharing a bathroom with a luxurious hot shower. This isn’t camping, it’s glamping! You get to enjoy real beds, fine linens, A/C when you’re hot, heating when you’re cold and a warm shower at home.

Family Glamping Bachelorette

We had the best time at Ashland Glamping celebrating our bride-to-be! We enjoyed exploring the grounds and sitting by the lake. It was so peaceful. The beds were comfy, which is a huge bonus!

Misleading info on website

We had read on the website there was a stove in our cabin so we brought meals to make in house…May want to look at that on the website so I doesn’t mislead anyone else. Otherwise fabulous place to stay!

Wonderful Weekend!

My girlfriends and I had a wonderful time at the Retro Safari Tent. It was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We really enjoyed the patio area and the fire pit. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that wants a fun getaway outside of the city (yet close enough to enjoy city amenities is you so desire. Ashland shops and restaurants were very enjoyable.). Thanks Ashland Glamping for a great experience!

Fun family getaway

Our family couldn't have asked for a better glamping experience. The Retro -Safari Tent was just as pictured and made for a fun stay with our kids. It was very clean and well taken care of. We also enjoyed hiking the little trails and exploring the property. Thanks for all the awesome memories!

Fun family time

Ashland Glamping provided a fun night away from our busy lives. There was an activity for everyone in our family. It is clean, quiet, and relaxing. To impress a 12 and 9 year old is an impressive task. We will definitely be back!

Retro tent was awesome!

Our family was looking for a quick one night getaway and Ashland Glamping was the perfect thing! I don’t love camping and can totally get on board with this glamping. Gorgeous property, so relaxing and quiet, incredible customer service (shoutout to Nann!) and the tent itself was very comfortable for our family of 4. We have no complaints and would stay again. The retro cabin was decorated really cool. Kids loved the pac man game. And we all loved the beautiful deck and patio space. While there isn’t a ton to do on the property itself (mind you, we stayed in March) the kids did find some kayaks in the lake and had fun doing that. Would definitely recommend it!

Unfortunately, we could only stay one night, and since it was raining, we didn't use the patio, fire pit, hot tub, nor the hiking trails. It was really an adorable place and area.The only reason we didn't give it five stars is, because we had to park our car uphill from. the unit and haul our luggage quite a ways downhill, on large gravel stone, in the rain. Also, uphill the next morning. I thought there would be more amenities for the price, such at toiletries, Kleenex, hairdryer, As there was no tv, I thought the Pac Man machine was a nice touch. Our host was a very nice lady who said we could call if we had any questions. We will be back next time we're in the area.

Suggestions

It would be helpful to list a Keurig coffee maker rather than a regular coffee maker. Also list that there is no stove but an air fryer and microwave are in the kitchen. The refrigerator doesn’t have an ice maker and ice trays or bringing ice would help people plan for supplies to bring. The outdoor shower was wonderful. These suggestions will enhance the stay. We loved the peace and quiet at the cabin!

My family actually relaxed - We loved every minute!

Before we arrived, we received helpful communication from the staff on when to arrive and how to check in. When we got there, Jay showed us how to get to our spot and gave a great tour of the tent and everything inside. Side note, they call the Retro a tent, it seemed more like a cabin to me. There is a really nice binder provided that has a lot of info about things to do around the area. I was worried about how the kids would do with no TVs and no wifi but they were busy enjoying swimming and kayaking at the lake on property, our own hot tub, their bunks and eating s'mores and really didn't complain. Our cellular connection worked good enough to provide them some relief from the primitive conditions (ha). There is also a wall mounted multi-game arcade style gaming system that was a great touch. The weather was hot during our stay, but the A/C and fans in the tent kept the inside very cool and comfortable. I loved having morning coffee outside on the large elevated porch. The views from there (and across the entire grounds) were just amazing. All the trees nicely separate this spot from other campers.

Comfort

You have a really nice place! The only thing I would consider is having cushions on the furniture inside. I realize we could have brought in the cushions from outside but I don't think a guest should have to do that. It would make the tent seem completely furnished and more comfortable to be inside. For the price you pay, I think you should make it as comfortable as you can. Again, quiet, relaxing and a really nice place!
