Unwind in Apalachicola at this cozy, waterfront, secluded cottage off of the beaten path. Turtle Pond House sits on a private 3 acre pond where you can catch your own dinner if you’d like! Fully equipped kitchen, queen bed, outdoor shower, heating/AC, WiFi and private laundry house, guests will find everything they need for a nice stay. Relax on the screened in porch on the swing bed, feed the turtles or explore the historical city just minutes away. Downtown Apalachicola has much to offer from shopping to great food to entertainment and day activities. The beautiful St. George Island beaches are only a 15 minute drive away. Pets welcome with approval.

Turtle Pond Cabin was a perfect getaway for us. The cabin is rustic, literally on a quiet pond, surrounded by trees, easily accessible from main streets and a very short ride to downtown Apalachicola. We referred to this stay as our "Walden". Loved it and would definitely return. Note: upon leaving Turtle Pond it may take time for you to adjust back to contemporary society!!!

I have so many wonderful things to say about my visit, I’m not sure where to start! The cabin was clean as can be, the bed was very comfortable, the pillows fresh, and it had all the amenities of home. The design and decor is thoughtful and charming and has a wonderful artistic flair along with stunning views and great lighting! The outdoor swinging bed on the screened back porch was a hit as were the turtles below begging for snacks. If you bring your dog along, there is a great path through a wooded area that is perfect for a quiet walk. This a perfect spot for anyone looking for some quiet time in a cozy space surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature. That being said, should you get hungry or want to explore, the cabin is only a mile from downtown historic Appilachicola. You really get the best of both worlds with this property!!!

The cabin was wonderful! It came stocked with all the pots and pans that you would need, toiletries, a convienient washer and dryer, games and the most relaxing screened in porch you could ever ask for. My wife enjoyed feeding the turtles and fish and watching them and the ducks daily and we spent a lot of the time relaxing on the porch swing. It is so close to downtown Apalachicola so we got to explore and could easily go to the beach as well. Our senior dog loved relaxing on the porch and she had the best vacation too! The owners of the property were the sweetest people and we loved our stay and without a doubt will be back.

Turtle Pond is now one of our top 3 places to stay in the area!! We’ve been coming to Franklin Co since the late 60’s, mainly staying on the island.This was such a nice change of scenery but still just a bridge away from Eastpoint (home of our favorite restaurant, The Red Pirate) then one more bridge to the beach. The screened in porch was so peaceful during the afternoon showers. The cabin was stocked with everything you could possibly need. My husband caught enough fish for a fish fry for us!! Heather was a wonderful host! I had one question during our stay and she answered within 5 minutes We’re already looking at dates for next year!

Beautiful & Peaceful

This property is beautiful and peaceful. Very cute cottage. We enjoyed watching the turtles, birds, & ducks. Short drive into town! Would stay again for sure!
