Start the new year ….in a cozy cabin!

Cabin on the Creek is located on the Cumberland Plateau and is approximately 9 miles from Fall Creek Falls State Park. It is situated on 3 1/2 acres of land that backs up to a private 600 acre wildlife area. The Cabin is two bedrooms / one bath with a fireplace, 2nd story loft and two large porches with rocking chairs for your enjoyment. The front lawn has a circle driveway and the creek runs along the side and back of the property. The side lawn has a fire pit for sitting around the campfire and plenty of foliage that surrounds the property.


The Cabin offers a unique variety of stylish, comfortable accommodations. The main floor bedroom has a queen size sleigh bed located just off the living room. The 2nd floor loft is accessed with an oak staircase and has two full size beds with Cable TV and wireless internet. The living room has a love seat and two full size recliners with slate end tables. The kitchen table will seat 6 comfortably.

This cabin met our every need while visiting Spencer TN. It was clean with all of the basic necessities provided and was in close proximity to all that nature had to offer. The host was also very accommodating and accessible during our stay.

Property was very nice and calm even though it’s on the main highway. Traffic did not disrupt… the cabin is far off the road and blocked by trees. Queen bed comfortable memory foam type mattress. Upstairs mattress could be upgraded. All kitchen amenities were there that we needed. Cable tv but no apps on the tv. Nice back porch I wish we’d used more:)Great proximity to hiking all directions. Get groceries before you check in.Host was very responsive and helpful.

The cabin is so unique and very comfortable! we did not want to get out of the beds, and it was very tastefully decorated. We had everything we needed!Teenagers had a great time hanging out at the place, using the loft and checking out the grounds, which are beautiful. I enjoyed the back deck. It was so peaceful. Thank you to our wonderful hosts!

The cabin was perfect. Clean, quaint and decorated in true rustic fashion and made us feel right at home. We did meet the hosts on our stay, wonderful people! Personal reasons made this a very special trip for me, and this little cabin will forever be a part of that experience. We will be back.

Hidden Gem

Very comfortable and cozy. It was just me in town for two nights (and my grandniece for one of those nights) to attend a wedding and reception. The place is exceptionally maintained and extremely clean. The directions to the cabin were spot on and complying with the check in and check out procedures were easy to follow. I hope to come back and stay longer.P.S. The WiFi is super fast.

Fantastic location

The cabin is in a fantastic location which makes it extremely easy to locate even if you loose cell service. The cabin was clean and perfectly stocked for our needs. On top of that, the host’s communication set the bar high for bookings in the future.

very clean cabin

The Queen bed is a little hard. The cabin is decorated nicely. We saw deer in the backyard on the back porch. Check in and out is easy. Everything you need is there. May need extra toilet paper in closet we almost ran out. The coffee bar is very welcoming, and the coffee maker makes great hot coffee. Enjoyed the rocking chairs. A sweet little bird made his nest on the front porch, and we got to see him. Plenty of kitchen items to use for cooking etc. Need updated menu for Cagle Mountain Restaurant the menu is different. The recommended restaurant in welcome book for Cagle Mountain Restaurant we went to. The Restaurant about 15 minutes just a small restaurant but the food was delicious and plenty of it, southern style dishes, burgers, salads etc. If you feel like just taking a drive we went to Dunlap after dinner at the restaurant and had icecream at Udder Yum Ice Cream Shoppe it was very good. We went to the winery Northfield Vineyards and tasted of some wine just a small place, but their cider is very good. Fall Creek Falls was beautiful and plenty for a whole day to enjoy. We looked and drove everywhere to see the Mennonite area but never found it. We also visited Burgess Falls state park about 35 minutes away it was beautiful to see the falls there but just a small park with a less than mile hike to enjoy its beauty.

Great Place

We absolutely enjoyed staying here. Just perfect for the two of us. Very comfortable home. Great location to all the State Parks. Communication with the host/hostess was great. Loved the porch swing. Spent time out there. Would definitely stay there again.

Perfect Stay

This cabin is beautiful and immaculately maintained. My friends slept in the bedroom downstairs and I was in the loft. I have back problems and the bed was so comfortable! Check-in was so easy, and the instructions were detailed and easy to understand. The directions were also easy to understand. We loved the decor and the signs in the laundry made us smile. Super close to the state park and Spencer/Sparta/Pikeville. We ran around chasing waterfalls and had a wonderful time, and a wonderful day.

Cabin on the Creek is tucked into the woods. Easy access to Hwy. 111 for traveling our State Parks and Middle Tennessee. Many guests visit with us looking to escape the City and capture our beautiful nature and we encourage you to enjoy the outdoors!

**PLEASE NOTE: The best thing about this cabin is that it's surrounded by trees and nature. This means you may encounter wildlife while staying at the cabin. This includes squirrels, deer, raccoons, mice, spiders, mosquitos, foxes, spotted lantern flies, flies, plant mites, skunks, ticks, bees, wasps, crickets, ants, frogs, various bugs, and other creatures. They reside in nature and we have no control over them. We do have pest control, bug traps but we do not have any control over their adventures. Sometimes they end up in the cabin. We clean and inspect everything before you arrive. There will be no refunds for Mother Nature getting in the cabin. If you are sensitive to mosquitoes, bring bug spray. If you are freaked out by bugs, please do not make a reservation.

There are four beautiful seasons to enjoy here in Middle Tennessee. Fall offers the most vibrant colors of all seasons with the turning of the leaves. The best time to enjoy the colors is mid-late October through mid-November. Winter is beautiful with the evergreen trees and a chance of snow now and then. Spring is awesome with many flowers and the Red Bud Trees in bloom. Summer is a great time to enjoy outdoor activities in the area.

Regardless of the season, many of our activities like Hiking, Biking, Kayaking and Golf can be enjoyed almost year round. If you have any questions, call us or send us an email and we will answer just as soon as possible.
