Stay at our nicely furnished - painted in Caribbean style - superb decorated and very well maintained private 2 bedroom, 3 bathroom villa which lies right besides a small private bird park. The Villa is located only 5 minutes drive or less than 15 minutes walk to the 3 beaches of Sosua, shopping, night life, bars and restaurants.
This luxurious holiday villa offers a fully equipped open plan kitchen from Mahogany wood with many amenities, like toaster, blender, microwave oven, juicer, fridge/freezer, coffee maker, cook ware, cutlery, glasses and dishes. Indoor Dining area set for 4 plus American Breakfast Bar.
The spacious and comfortable dining/living room with vaulted ceilings, ceiling fans, sitting areas, radio/CD player and 46' LED Flat Screen Cable TV opens up to an outdoor dining area with splendid views to the well-groomed garden and private fully tiled swimming-pool.
Large Master Bedroom: Queen size bed, night tables, sofa, side tables, ceiling fan, air conditioning, Cable TV. Ample walk-in-closet with mirror, gas hot water heater, safe deposit box, iron and ironing board.
Second bedroom: Queen size bed, night tables, side tables, sofa bed/futon, floor to ceiling closet, mirror, vaulted ceiling with ceiling fan, air conditioning, safe deposit box. Both tiled en-suite bathrooms with vaulted ceilings, double sinks, non-slip tiles, shelves, mirrors, toilet and shower. Both bedrooms with black out curtains.

Garden with many tropical fruits: bananas, cherries, guava, further Almond trees, different kinds of palm trees and coconut palm trees.
Have a delicious BBQ (charcoal) on the generous, partly covered terrace with dining area set for 4, now there is also a nice sitting group. Small guest bathroom with shower next to pool.
Relax in the tiled private swimming pool, take a stroll down town, plan a lazy day at the beach and watch the sun set.

Beautiful stay

Had a great time, the stay there was very nice and would love to stay there again, very quiet and homely house can't wait to come back, the owner was very nice and a great host.

Is an incredible place to spend vacations all you need is here, very peaceful place

This is an incredible place to spend vacations, literally you have everything you need, the AC’s, internet, all was perfect, the place is very cozy and the host makes feel like home, you can smoke in the house and also make bbq’s, also the pool is really nice specially at night when the lights are on; about the host she is really NICE! very kind, and she explain you all you need to know about the house amenities. definitely we will come back

Best Villa in Sosua

Andrea, Once again we had a wonderful time at your two bedroom Villa. The Villa is beautiful and well decorated. Pool and Cleaning service was excellent. Please , give my regards to Nori and staff. I highly recommend this property.

I must say again. I enjoyed my stay in your villa. The accomidations were excellent. All the amenities of home. My friends enjoyed themselves as well as myself. Secure with electrified gates..( Even a gecco won't survive) thank you again for all your hospitality. Can't wait to return... Dave

I must say Andrea, I had a wonderful stay in the 2 bedroom villa in mulata!!! The rooms were excellent!! The living area was decorated with beautiful pictures and gorgeous art pieces. The patio was outstanding and pool was simply relaxing, you can hear the sounds of the birds all day, they just put you in such a relaxing state... I enjoyed my stay and can't wait to come back.

Relaxing, Safe & Secure!!!

For starters thanks Andrea for the gracious hospitality. My brother and I had a wonderful trip. House was in exact shape as pictures on site, very clean and we'll decorated. Kitchen loaded with utensil for cooking and entertainment. Pool cleaned daily by smiling landscaper and nice mami the housekeeper was perfect. Fresh towels daily and bed spread daily and not too early so u can lay down longer in bed. Pet lovers house as stated, birds wake up around 5:30-6:00am and chirp all day. After day 2 you'll get use to them but only the rain quiets them up. If u want a secluded house still very close to the action in El Batey and Cabarete this is the ideal house. I fully enjoyed myself and intend to come back sometime soon.

Bird Watching Villa at La Mulata

I have nothing but good things to say about this vacation property, it is so peaceful, and it is like my home away from home. You won't get this from a hotel. This makes my second time staying here and I truly look forward to coming back. I feel safe here, I have everything I need, I am minutes away from 2 cities, beaches, supermarkets and more. I can't wait to return. Thanks for everything!

Très belle maison agréable

Nous avons passé un séjour de 9 jours dans cette maison. Elle est très confortable et la piscine est super. Aucun problème de sécurité et un calme absolu. Vous avez tout ce que vous souhaiter hormis un lave-vaisselle peut-être mais pour nous cela n'a pas été un problème. Andrea est très sympa et est très réactive à toute demande. Le ménage est fait tous les jours et les serviettes sont changées. Prévoir une voiture. Des oiseaux magnifiques sont à proximité et vous pourrez peut-être y faire une petite visite. Bref, que du bonheur! Nous y reviendrons sans aucun doute.

My vacation

Well, I was picked up right away from the airport and taken to the villa. It was my first time to sosua so I was apprehensive but andrea made me feel comfortable. The house is clean and private, the maid did a excellent job... It is not far from the nightlife but I recommend having a rental car if you desire to go to the bars and clubs. Had a great time and will stay again..

Birthday Trip

I had an amazing time. One of the best trips I have ever been on. The villa is very nice and comfortable, felt more like home. Andrea the owner had cable so I was able to watch espn and the NCAA tourney. The home has a private entrance and private pool to relax and use at your leisure. Close to markets and nightlife. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you Andrea for your hospitality and birthday cakes!!!

Better then Advertised!! Great Owner!!

Well, Andrea and I went back and forth about the Western Union delivery of the deposit, I was not comfortable with it. She convinced me, because she was willing to work with me she gained my trust. I sent it, everything was good! Upon Arrival she was a ball of energy lol She makes sure you see the house, gives you the breakdown and even had 2 coconuts and 2 beers in fridge for me and my friend! The maid service was good, the place was clean and looked better in person, the pics dont do it any justice. Very private. Very nice villa. Great Customer service. Well...except for my towels that one time! Lol Andrea is trust worthy and dependable. She takes care of her properties and puts alot of passion into them! Enjoyed my stay!

nice comftorable house

Stayed at this house for the second time, the owner Andrea is always friendly and very helpful, i confirmed the reservation with her and sent the deposit through western union to book the house. Had a great time although 11 days was not long enough. Would definataly reccomend this house. It's much different than many other houses i've stayed at, Andrea has many nick nacks in the house. it makes it feel more like a home than a house, very welcoming.

The place was great just as it was described on the web. It was very clean and attended to. Andrea was wonderful. She help me with everything I needed from renting a car to where to go and eat. Best Vacation Ever

Arrived at the villa and was greeted by Andrea the owner. She explained how everything worked in the villa and gave us our key, that was the check in easy and no line ups. All the photos shown are a true representation of the villa. The villa was very clean all the time thanks to the daily cleaning by the friendly maid. The pool very nice and very clean thanks to the daily cleaning from the gardener/pool man (Bernardo). The villa is located within 15min. walk to downtown and the main beach. We took taxies to and from the villa to the beach. We used the same driver for every where we wanted to go. We used a very nice guy named John who spoke very good English, if you stay here is number is in the guest book. The owner Andrea also drove us a lot as she lives right beside the villa. The villa was decorated very nice and all the furniture and beds and linens were all brand new. Towels and soap provided. You can do your laundry so you can travel home with clean clothes. If you love flowers, plants, birds and dogs then this place is for you. Natures paradise, wake up in the morning to the relaxing sound of birds singing. Andrea has a dog named Milli who is a wonderful dog who loves to come over to visit. We had a wonderful time at the villa, everything was great and would recommend it to family or friends. We wish our stay could have been longer than the two weeks we booked. Things you must do : Monkey Jungle, Cabarete beach, If you are reading this review it means you are contemplating weather or not to stay here. You will not be disappointed if you stay at this villa. Before I picked this villa I researched many different ones, none of them compared as far as the amenities provided and also the reasonable price of Andreas villa. I am so glad I made the right choice of picking the right villa for my vacation. I can not wait to return next year. tyler

My name is Andrea Thumeyer and I have been living in the Dominican Republic (also referred to as D.R.) since May 1985. When I first came to D.R. for a three-week vacation from my home country of Germany I fell in love upon arrival! This island is now my stay-cation; the vacation that I now permanently live in!

In 1985 this wonderful Island had breathtaking and scenic views of the beaches, rivers, and country sides. The people were friendly, cultural and humble. And the food and music - were both filled with great island flavors (ask me about my favorites)! Now after living here for over 29 years, I can attest that this love has grown even more so since 85’!

Lastly, I wanted to let you know that I am a huge pet lover and believe that each home should have a pet. I am also involved in an animal rescue and have saved many Dominican dogs, cats, birds, turtles and more. Currently I live with 17 dogs, 1 cat, over 250 birds.

This villa is situated right next to my first 2 BR home which I bought in 1999, to have more space for my pets and me I purchased it in 2003. With this villa I had not only more space, there are also: carport, laundry and a pool. When friends came over we enjoyed the BBQ in this villa. Now it is a wonderful and relaxing vacation home! This newly renovated villa is perfect for a unique vacation with all it has to offer. Extremely high ceilings keep the house cool all year long. The king palm trees in front give it a special Caribbean touch. Since the surrounding lots are so far without homes cows and horses come to eat the grass. Wonderful to watch the calves playing. The villa is close to ALL amenities - from beaches, night life, water sports to golfing, less than 15 minutes drive from the International Airport of Puerto Plata, there is also a 24/7 Emergency clinic in only 1 minute drive. The closest Supermarket is to be reached in 2 minutes drive, open till 10pm!
