Better than the pictures! The cabin was spotless, in great condition, fully equipped with all the necessities and more. The beds were comfortable, the deck views were so peaceful and great for birdwatching. Highly recommend and would love to return for another stay.

Listed with AC and was swamped cooler that made doors swell and not shut properly as well as the smell of old cooler pads. Had to turn off cooler and use only ceiling fans for the entire stay. Beds were not comfortable at all and coverswere not fresh. Otherwise okay

Loved sitting on the back porch, the house was nice and clean. There are no locks on any of the interior doors, not even the bathroom which I found odd but worked out ok.

GREAT property!! Exactly what I expected. Notes for future travelers, the "WiFi" is DSL services and very slow, there is no cellular data service and very poor cell voice/txt service; this is prevalent to the area (I had my own Starlink, had planned on little/no data-cell service prior to visit). The property manager / host was FANTASTIC, local and very close; had a minor maintenance issue, resolved super quick! Property is excellent for those wanting to get "out into the wilderness" with stellar views, but keep a few modern amenities. Met some of the year round neighbors, great people. Look forward to coming back! Also check out Spirit Canyon pictographs almost adjunct to the property.

All nice . Wood pellet stove is a delight. Privacy is superb. I can imagine how fantastic the shaded north facing upper porch would be in summer.

Quietly Pleasant Retreat.....

Property was so clean and comfortable. Beds were amazingly soft. Definately returning in the future....

Fantastic property!!! The cabin has rustic charm and was exceptionally clean!!! If you want to get away from hustle and bustle, this is the place. It is fully-equipped and pet friendly. Our family had a great time. Spent the day fishing Lake Roberts Tue 3/17. Then, hiked Railroad Canyon Trail on Wed 3/18. There is also a really beautiful canyon trail that heads up right where the access road to the cabin meets the main road. The star gazing is second-to-none. The cabin has a big kitchen, good beds, a beautiful deck and many nice features. We really wished we could stay longer but have an all day drive back home and life is calling. Definitely recommended!!!

Cabin was clean and plenty of room. Beautiful views! Lots of barking dogs in neighborhood so sleep with windows closed. Lots of mice inside so keep all food in refrigerator and rewash all dishes and kitchen counters before use. Bathroom is spacious but shower is tiny. I knocked my elbows against shower walls washing my hair and I couldn’t bend over to shave my legs and I’m a small woman. The shower curtain sticks to your body in shower it’s so small.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, and I’m so glad you enjoyed the views and found the cabin clean and comfortable. We truly appreciate your comments and always want our guests to feel at home here in the Gila. I did want to clarify one concern... there are no mice inside the cabin. The property is regularly inspected and cleaned between each guest, and neither the housekeeping team nor I have ever found any signs of rodent activity inside the home. There is a small old countertop stain in the corner that could easily be mistaken for something else, and occasionally you may hear squirrels playing on the roof... a common sound in the tall pines around Lake Roberts! We’ll also take a look at the shower space and see if there’s a way to make it more comfortable. Thanks again for staying with us and for helping us keep the cabin a welcoming spot for future guests. Beautiful view

This is a great property. We had a sisters hiking trip to the Gila Cliff Dwelling area and it was a great location for us. The view from the deck is breath taking and the deer, quail, chipmunks, and hummingbird feeder just add another layer of beauty. It is a very peaceful place.The kitchen is well stocked and there’s a nice grill on the deck. There are nice bathroom and bedroom linens. It is obvious that the owners put thought into supplying the property.As advertised - the property has 1 bathroom - so for 4 women that was a bit of a challenge but it worked out.Our observations: the road in to the property and the driveway are a bit steep but the driveway is a circle drive and can be navigated - carefully. The bed in the smaller bedroom is very hard - I know some people like that but it was not comfortable for us.We had a lovely time and enjoyed the stay.

Perfect Mountain Retreat

Came for a solo retreat for a few days and had an outstanding time! The view from the deck is by far the highlight, with amazing views of the valley and cliffs during the day and silent, serene stargazing at night. The house is very clean with no bugs or signs of age, and everything feels well-kept and cozy.Cooked several meals in the kitchen, which is very well equipped. Brought a lot of my supplies in, but was very pleasantly surprised to find coffee, tea, and some spices already stored. The only things I were unable to find were a potato peeler and a strainer, but these were both minor missing pieces. The bed in the master suite is very comfortable and the suite in general is very cozy. The extra TV space is an amazing touch, which I can see being especially good for families with children/teens who want to send their kids away while sitting in the living room/patio. I do wish there was space for a TV in the living room, although I like not having it in there by default. But given that there’s a spare tv in the master closet, having space to place it should you want to get it out would be awesome. The only thing even close to negative is that the shower is very small. While this worked just fine for me (an average height/weight man), this may be a drawback for larger/taller individuals or people with claustrophobia. That being said, the bathroom is extremely clean and well put together.Absolutely loved my time here and plan on returning in the near future!
