Please remember that you will be staying in our home, NOT a hotel. We do have neighbors; therefore, we ask that you treat our space with the same respect you would show your own. If any problems arise, we will do our best to take action ASAP, but there is no one living on site. We will respond as fast as we can through the VRBO app.

For the safety and security of our guests and neighbors, the EXTERIOR of this home is monitored 24/7 by Ring Home Security with video camera. Cameras monitor driveway, stairs, deck, patio, and riverfront.

Exactly as advertised. Host was fantastic to work with. There was a decent blizzard that hit our area while we stayed and host was super accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed.

This was our first stay with a Vrbo. We really liked the unit’s location on the Mississippi River. The deck and patio facing the river were in great condition. The kitchen was spacious and had up to date appliances including dish washer. The beds were very comfortable. Overall condition of unit was excellent. The host( Dave) was most helpful with questions we had about surrounding areas of interest.

The host was excellent, very responsive and accommodating. The home was the perfect size, the bed was comfortable, and the view was spectacular. Very nice place for a peaceful break from the hustle & bustle of the world. There are lots of places outside to take in the view of the river while lounging comfortably. Would stay again.

Best host ever, super friendly, very accommodating, excellent with communication, and attentive! Clean, excellent condition property and nice amenities, with fantastic view and overall superb experience. This property is clearly a passion and not just a revenue stream. Best rental home experience ever, and many attention to details.Well equipped kitchen, USB chargers, well stocked firewood for wood burner stove, grilling needs, snow removal was stellar, etc.

Charming river front cottage with wonderful amenities! Beautiful views of the Mississippi River with lots of pelicans, geese and blue heron to see.Our hosts were very accommodating and attentive. They made our 35th wedding anniversary very special.

Beautifully remodeled home, very clean and fantastic hosts. Perfect for family or small group of friends. The Host’s were fantastic and great communications. They thought of everything you could need! Great stay on the Mississippi

We were visiting family for a graduation this weekend and decided to rent a VRBO instead of staying in a hotel and it was a great decision. The property is beautiful and Dave was extremely accommodating. We really appreciate the personal touches- caramels, slippers, toilteries. There was enough room for us all to have our own spaces when relaxing without being on top of one another (like in a hotel) and we enjoyed being able to have some meals at the home instead always eating out. Highly recommended!

Marvelous on the Mississippi

We enjoyed our stay at Dave’s place so much! The property was beautiful and immaculate! And the view!!! Who could ask for better than a view of the Mississippi with an eagle’s nest and eagles in the trees every day. Dave was a fantastic host. He was available immediately for any questions that we had. And he also provided us with excellent recommendations for food and activities. We plan to make this an annual trip to the Mississippi for eagle photography and will ONLY stay at this amazing property! Thank you for the wonderful weekend stay.

Bald Eagles, the Mississippi River at sunrise, and all the small town charm of middle America!

10 yr old’s property review… 100 out of 10! Cannot wait to come back and stay again!! This cottage will offer up as much rest and relaxation as desired, along with plenty of activities to enjoy! The host is on the fast-track toward “Super Host” status because they clearly work so hard to welcome guests into their property and assure you have everything you need for a comfortable stay! The property has such great spaces indoors and outdoors. It’s worth mentioning that for non-bird enthusiasts, we were totally enamored and fascinated with the Bald Eagles nesting directly across from the property! So iconic and special!!! Don’t forget to check out all the lovely neighboring communities in the Quad City area for shopping and eating. Cooked mostly on the property but Front Street Pub in Davenport had some excellent bites and such great service. We like to explore new properties and areas in the Midwest but we already looking to rebook this exact property, which will be a first for our family!!! And oh, don’t forget the binoculars at home! Thank you again, David, for all the hospitality and care
