Nestled on Star Lake, this newly remodeled delightful cabin boasts 3 cozy bedrooms. One king, 2 twin beds, and queen bed. Enjoy views of Star Lake from the kitchen and living room . A sandy beach awaits you just steps from the front yard. Star Lake has great fishing, a sand bar, and beautiful sunsets! Wind down the day by a crackling fire, enjoy the Northern Lights, and the calls of the loons.
Private dock and boat lift for your use. Lift capacity is 120" wide and #3,600.
Complete with AC, WiFi, and heating, guests can relax in comfort. Our place is well equipped to make your vacation one to remember. The Lazy Loon Retreat is the perfect place to make lifelong memories with your kids!

Very well-stocked and comfortable cabin. Right next to the water with our own private dock and boat lift. Fishing wasn't great, but the weather was partly to blame for that. We especially enjoyed the campfires and star-gazing while being serenaded by the loons! Would definitely stay here again. Only suggestion would be to have the water softener cycle during the daytime, rather than in the middle of the night since it is in one of the bedrooms, behind a curtain.

It was a lovely, well appointed cabin. Very clean and new.It was wonderful to listen to the loons and relax by the lake.Couldn’t have been a better lake vacation! Hope to return.

4th of July at the Lazy Loon

Great location! Water was so clear and beach had soft sand. Boat lift was super handy!!! Kitchen was very efficient and stocked! We had a great holiday week! Good fishing off the dock! We had a blast!!!

The lake had incredibly clear water, and it was shallow pretty far out. The kids loved playing in it. I would recommend water shoes unless you have have tough feet. The house is newly remodeled with new appliances and everything you need to cook. It was very restful. We had a great time.

Great Lake, great cabin, great time.

The hosts are very accommodating and gracious. The cabin is newly remodeled and very nice, it fit our family perfectly. There is pretty much everything you need to enjoy your vacation and make it comfortable. There is a little lean to with wood for the fire pit. There is a nice dock with a boat lift, which is very convienent. The use of the boat house was a great feature to keep the water toys and fishing gear in. The beach is nice and sandy and the water is super clear. The kids loved swimming and fishing from the dock. Star lake is a very nice lake with lots of great fishing. We can’t wait to come back again.

Great 9 day stay at the property. Everything recently remodeled and the kitchen is stocked better than any kitchen at a VRBO we have stayed at. We used the fire pit almost every night and the boat house can store any/all of your water toys you might bring with...in our case a stand-up paddle board and a couple of float chairs.The water front was very nice, with mostly a sandy and firm bottom. The owners are a very nice family who live next door. They gave us a nice welcome and came over the last night to say goodbye. We never felt like they were spying on us...more like nice neighbors.The overall price point for the property was very fair and we feel like we got a good product for our money. I would recommend this for a family with children, or in our case, just a couple in their 60's looking for an enjoyable lake experience.

We loved our stay! The beach was lovely for the kids and we did lots of swimming and fishing. The hosts were very kind and accommodating. We had everything we needed for a fun vacation.

Our cabin is located in the heart of Otter Tail County, home to over one thousand of Minnesota’s beautiful lakes.
Star Lake is our favorite and we hope it becomes yours too!
Our adventure began in late August 2024. Our long-time neighbor offered us the opportunity to purchase her cabin, in hope to keep creating memories for new families for future generations. A complete renovation brought us to the cabin you enjoy today.
We were engaged and married on Star Lake. Our children are 4th generation Star Lake lovers.

This cabin is located very close to the water, so you're only steps away from the beach and your own private dock and lift. Enjoy a cup a coffee with the sunrise and loons calling or an evening roasting s'mores over the bonfire and northern lights.
