All the comforts of home await you in our quiet 1 bedroom 1 bath apartment on a private lane in downtown Kirkland. Kirkland is an upscale 'beach town' located 15 minutes East of downtown Seattle on Lake Washington. Lots of parks, shopping, bistros, coffee shops, art galleries, boating, hiking and much more. Our little apartment is a great alternative to the Heathman Hotel and Woodmark Hotel's that are nearby. Camera on parking area for guests auto security. Window in the living room looks out to private patio and garden. Spa like walk in shower and robes. Luxury linens/towels, hair dryer, curling/flat iron, iron board. Fully stocked kitchen, FREE Wi-Fi, full cable, air conditioning for summer comfort. New Mattress as of 2/2020. Read a book, relax outside on the comfortable lounge chairs. Have a glass of wine on the patio conversation area and fire pit. BBQ and have dinner on your private patio. Parking for 1 car is included. Cottage in Kirkland WA

Jill and Ricks cottage was better than you could imagine. Everything was spotless and all the amenities were way beyond any 5 star hotel. Beautiful and convenient location along with peaceful surroundings. My stay was delightful and I will look forward to coming back. Julie Nilsson

cute, clean and quiet!

this VRBO is so nice, and very quiet and private, it is in a great area and a nice walk to downtown, I met the owners and they are very nice and they also answered every question I had. I would definitely rent this unit again. I think the only recommendation I would suggest is the lighting in the bathroom is not very good, but that would not keep me from renting the unit.

Luxurious Retreat

When I stay in this area, I will definitely book here again. Very convenient location. These hosts took a lot of care from the aesthetics to every practical detail in providing one with everything one could possibly need. I had a very hectic schedule and couldn't wait to return to my own "private retreat". I was also here during the heat wave, so I can't tell you how much the AC helped! They were gracious hosts, yet very respectful of my privacy. This is a gem!

Just Perfect

We just got home from a week in Washington. We couldn't have found a better place to stay. Jill and Rick had all the comforts of home waiting for us including a bottle of wine. The bed was super comfortable as were the plush towels (I need to find out where she got them!). The location was perfect for all of our sightseeing. It was close to everything and yet each night we felt like we were coming back to a peaceful quiet sanctuary. We will definitely keep this bookmarked in case we are ever lucky enough to be back in the Seattle area. We would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a place to stay while visiting Washington.

Everything You Need

I have stayed in several VRBO properties in the Kirkland area and this property is great. You have everything you need in the way of bath supplies, clean linens and the kitchen is well stock with all the necessities. The property is in a very quiet neighborhood that is easily accessed from NE 85th Street and Market Street (avoids the Kirkland traffic). The bed is extremely comfortable and I can't remember sleeping that well in a long time. I will definitely look into renting the property the next time I am in Kirkland

This apartment is lacking for nothing!

We spent a wonderful week (5/31-6/7/16) in Seattle due in large measure to our hosts, Jill and Rick. The apartment is a lot lacking for nothing! Rick and Jill have thought of everything and more. It is in a great location, assesible to anything you want to see or do. Kirkland has a lovely park down by the lake, a great place to relax and watch the world walk by. BEST PLACE TO STAY IN THE KIRKLAND/BELLEVUE AREA HANDS DOWN!!

This was a great alternative to a hotel, in fact it was better. The apartment/condo was awesome, in a great location, very affordable, quiet, and cozy. I used to live in Seattle for 6 years and visit the area often. Kirkland is a neat centralized location and the best place to stay in my opinion. The condo is brand new looking and has all you need. The owners really did the place up right and make you feel like it's your place for the time you are here. No hassle with checking in and checking out, just pay online and it's yours. It was too easy and so much cheaper than any hotels in the area and again just as nice or nicer. It has a full kitchen, dinning area, sweet bathroom, fireplace, and separate bedroom. If you can't find something to watch on TV here then you've got problems because it has everything from cable, apple tv, dvd player, movie channels, and netflix. I would highly recommend this place for your next stay and tell you honestly you are making a mistake staying somewhere else. Trust me when I say that you will Love it here. I have already told a few people about this place and would stay here again without a second thought. Look at all the reviews..there is not a bad one in the bunch.

The apartment is a jewel. It glows with warmth. It is the perfect place for one or two travelers. The bed was super comfy. The small fireplace gives off enough heat to warm the apartment. The neighborhood is quiet & friendly. We will definitely stay here again. The photos, the description, & the reviews are accurate. This a five star apartment.

Very tranquil and comfortable

The property was well tended to. Super clean and stocked with everything you need to stay one day or one year! Jill and Rick were awesome hosts. We greatly appreciated everything they offered. Fun stay in Kirkland

We were very pleased with our stay in Kirkland. The property was very well maintained and in pristine condition. The entire MIL was so clean and comfortable. There were extra perks included that were thoughtful and appreciated.

This was the perfect home away from home while we visited our son in Seattle. When traveling, it is so nice to have a suitable sitting area to work and rest. The MIL is gorgeous, with top quality furnishings and amenities. The bathroom was spa-like, very luxurious, and we loved having the kitchenette for all its many uses. The bed was like sleeping on a clod, wonderful feather down!

Thank you for your hospitality

This place is so beautiful we didn't want to leave! Our reason for traveling to the area was to spend time with our kids and grandkids. We began each day warm and cozy with a great cup of coffee in a gorgeous setting. We filled our days with family and fun in Kirkland and retreated each evening to all the comforts of home. Both the MIL and Carriage House are impeccably kept with stunning decor. They are comfortable, warm, quiet and extremely clean. We always look forward to coming back.

Cute apartment in Kirkland

The apartment is fully furnished, kitchen is stocked with essentials and refreshments. Jill and Rick are like good neighbors. The backyard is beautiful with blooming flowers. Nice and quite sitting out there in the morning with a cup of coffee or tea (donuts will be a bonus). The bed is comfortable, bathroom is very nice and also stocked, good shampoo ( I am picky about shampoo). Thank you very much. We had a good time.

Wonderful stay in Kirkland

Jill's place was just great. Nice secluded location in a great area of Kirkland. Close to everything. The back yard was awesome for sitting outside and visiting. The interior nicely done and lacked nothing. This was much more comfortable than hotel I've stayed in the area. Jill and her husband were very helpful and gracious hosts. I would definitely stay here again

We purchased this property in 2011 and love living here. We enjoy having the little downstairs apartment for family and friends to stay. We have met some wonderful people that have stayed in our place.

We looked for quite a while before we found this perfect location for us. It is on a private lane, yet in the middle of downtown Kirkland.

Our little MIL apartment is perfect for those that want to get away and yet feel like they are still at home. It is private and you can come and go as you please. It is a downstairs apartment that is part of our home on a private lane. There is a private little patio off the back to sit and drink coffee or a nice happy hour in the afternoon. Walk to all that downtown Kirkland has to offer, take in all the nice Wineries in downtown Woodinville, or a 20 minute drive to downtown Seattle to visit Pike's Market and all the fun activities of downtown. We are an hour and a half from Crystal Mountain Ski Resort, Stevens Pass which are both great Ski Areas. The San Juan Islands are close for beauty, whale watching, and wine tasting at some of the local wineries on the Islands. If you want to go biking/hiking, there are lots of wonderful hikes and bike trails close by. Of course if you need retail therapy...I can give you all the inside scoop on that! We hope that you enjoy your stay with us and feel comfortable and at home. 2 person Max. NO SMOKING!
