Know Before You Book:

Maximum Occupancy and Quiet Hours: The maximum occupancy at The Old Timer is 4 people not including kids under 3 years old. Quiet hours are from 9:00 pm until 7:00 am. Outdoor amplified sound is prohibited at all times.

A Note About Our Cleaning Fees: Thank you for supporting our local business! When you stay with us, you are supporting local families at work. We think everyone deserves a decent living wage, and we make sure to set the rates and fees so that our cleaners earn a living wage in beautiful Sonoma County.

Parking: There is parking for a maximum of 3 vehicles. RVs, trailers, and campers are prohibited, per the Sonoma County Vacation Rental Ordinance.

Bed Sizes: Downstairs Large Bedroom: Cal King bed; Downstairs Bedroom 2: Queen bed; Upstairs study: Queen bed.

Heating: Each bedroom has an Eco wall heater plus the living room has a very efficient gas fireplace. Each bathroom has NuHeat heated floors with a thermostat.

Cooling: This home does not have A/C, but there is a ceiling fan in each bedroom plus freestanding fans for other areas. This home does not have Air Conditioning, but the afternoon and evening breeze from the ocean and up the river generally keep the house a comfortable temperature. Ceiling and freestanding fans are provided. The house tends to stay cool – especially the rec room level.

Kitchen: There is a full kitchen with kitchen and gas stovetop/oven.

Bathrooms: The downstairs bathroom includes a shower over bathtub and the upstairs bathroom includes a shower.

Location: The Old Timer is in a cozy residential neighborhood. It is a mix of permanent residents and vacation rentals, families, working folks, and visitors. To honor this balance, we ask guests to park only in the driveway and respect the quiet hours in addition to general family-friendly, residential neighborhood expectations. Stairs: There are 4 stairs from the parking circle to the front door and 15 stairs from the main level to the upper suite. The main level of the home is all one level.

Pet Friendly: This home welcomes up to 2 well-mannered dogs. If you have more than 2 dogs or other types of pets, please contact us to see if exceptions can be made before reserving.

Fencing: The main deck is fully enclosed, but the yard is not fenced.

A Note About TV: The Smart TV in the living room has live TV via Xfinity and Netflix, Amazon Video, Hulu, and hundreds of streaming channels. Guests are welcome to bring their login info for these apps.

Northwood Golf Club – a MacKenzie course - is ranked one of the top 9-hole golf courses in the nation by Golf World Magazine and is across the street! Schedule tee times online. Guests are welcome to borrow The Old Timer’s clubs or bring their own.
Northwood Restaurant and Bar and Bia Café are a short walk.

River Access: This is a seasonal amenity and only promised when conditions allow. Expect river access when the summer dams are in (mid-June to mid- September). Conditions vary from year to year and can change rapidly – use your best judgement to determine your risk level and comfort in the water/physical activity. Boats are not provided at The Old Timer and the path to the river is rustic (unpaved), sloping, and some of the steps are angled as a result of tree roots.
