Adorable 2 bedroom cabin only 50ft from Beach
Just a few feet from Maine's finest beach that offers over 7 miles of mostly flat sand to walk along and mostly calm waves. This charming Old Orchard Beach Cottage Suite has everything you need to enjoy a restful and relaxing stay.
The location makes it so easy to run back and forth from the cottages to the shore - grab a drink, use the bathroom or have lunch in the shade using our outdoor barbecue grills and sitting at your own outdoor tables and chairs.
This winter, 2024/2025 we renovated our cottages. They look like brand new cottages. Many of the furnishings inside are brand new, as of March 2025. Brand new queen size beds, new couches, tables & chairs, along with fresh paint both inside and out. Our cottages are no longer white with pink trim. They are now white with an ocean blue trim. We hope you will like our new look!
The living room has a comfortable couch, coffee table and a flat screen, Smart TV where you can enjoy logging in to your streaming network channels like Netflix, Prime & Hulu.
The open kitchen area has a stove top, a medium size refrigerator & freezer, and all the necessary kitchenware like pots & pans, dishware, glassware, toaster, microwave, Keurig coffee maker (individual k-cups) and more...
We provide all the necessary linens, bed sheets, duvets, pillows, pillow cases, bath towels & beach towels for up to 6 people.
This spacious, charming cottage features two bedrooms. The first bedroom has a brand new queen bed and new mattress (March 2025), the other bedroom has two bunk beds, for a total of 6 people maximum. The open kitchen, dining, living room area has cathedral ceilings. The bathroom offers his & her sinks, shower and whirlpool tub.

Brand new medium-sized refrigerator/freezer purchased & installed, August 2024.

Off-street parking. Cottage 7 has an assigned parking space on Reggio Ave, it faces cottage no. 7, which is the other side of our cottages, as our cottages are located between Odessa Ave & Reggio Ave. If you are traveling with two vehicles, you may park on the street, either on Odessa Ave or Reggio Ave. Parking is free.

Can I bring a pet with me?
Being dog owners ourselves, we understand how attached people are with their pets. There is a pet surcharge of $50 per night.
Can I request an early check-in, and, or a late check-out?
Yes, you may. The earlier you request this, the more likely we may be able to accomodate you.

Typical temperatures are as follows:
May: mid 70's

Is it too cold to enter the sea in the summertime?
Absolutely not! beach goers are in the ocean throughout the summer. In mid July 2021 the ocean temperature reached 74 degrees!
Can I walk into town from this property?
Yes, of course. The downtown area of Old Orchard Beach is only 2/3 mile. One can easily walk along the beach to the pier and up the main street. Or one can walk along West Grand Ave. It too is a nice walk with safe sidewalks on either side of the street.
Do you rent in the off-season? fall, winter and early Spring time?
Yes. We rent our property year-round. Popular off-season dates include Columbus day weekend, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years' Eve, Valentine's day, Easter, Memorial Day weekend.
I am trying to book for next summer but I cannot locate any available dates why is this?
We have opened our calendar to accept new bookings for the summer of 2025 as well as 2026. We accept both short and long term reservations. If the dates that you are looking for are unavailable do look further on our website as we have a total of 8 cottages, two of which, are two-bedroom cottages, while 6 of the cottages are one-bedroom. Just 1 block from our cottages are 8, two-bedroom condos, and 1, four-bedroom condo. We also have 5 & 6 bedroom beach houses, suitable for large families & groups. See listings below.
Can we reserve a cottage for just 2 or 3 nights instead of having to book an entire week?
Yes, in the summer we have a 2-night minimum stay for our cottages & condos. Occasionally, a 1-night stay may become available. In the summer the beach houses have a 7-night minimum reservation requirement. In the fall, winter & spring one may book a cottage or condo for 1 night only.
I am not sure what the final number of guests will be. I understand above 4 guests you charge $50 per person per night. Can I let you know what the final number will be closer to the date of my booking?
Yes, absolutely. This is very common. As soon as friends or family members see photos of the beachfront property their busy schedule often opens up, and they wish to come along.
Other than the beach what do you recommend we do with our children?
Fun Town USA - theme park
Splash Town USA - water park (they are attached to each other. The park is located in Saco, the town next door.
Aquaboggan theme park. More suitable for younger children. Also located in Saco.
Palace Playland - you can walk to. It is a fun theme park with amusements. It is located in front of the pier. A very pleasant 15 minute walk!
Pirates Cove - mini golf. This place is a fun favorite for my family. It is an easy 10 minute walk, it is open in the day & at night.
The Memorial Park has basketball & tennis courts and a fun playground for your younger children.
Cape Elizabeth light house with its' Shale Beach is something we highly recommend visiting. It is an amazing site, you can sit outside on the picnic tables and eat lunch whilst admiring the beautiful ocean views. It is approximately, a 25-30 minute drive.
Downtown Portland has so many amazing restaurants to explore. Great shopping in the Old Port & Wharf. A great outdoor activity to do, especially on an overcast day!
How far is the Old Orchard Beach train station from your property?
It is approximately 0.5 mile, or a very comfortable, 10 minute walk. We invite guests traveling from Boston who want to get away for 2 or 3 nights to travel by train. It is a great / fun alternative travel option.
If there are any issues on the property, who do I contact and how quickly are you able to resolve these issues?
All guests are given my personal cell phone. Should there be any major problem inside the house I ask guests to contact me right away. I will be sure to address any issue as expeditiously as possible.

We are a family of 6, four children ages 14 on up. We have been coming to Old Orchard Beach for the past 18 summers. Our children absolutely love playing on the large beach. This past summer they took up surfing lessons with the Corner Surf Shop. Blake was a fantastic instructor! He took videos and photos throughout their daily surfing lessons and posted them on his website each day. We take long walks at sunrise, 4-5 miles! If the kids are for it they join us for an early evening walk once the tide has gone back out.
My wife grew up in the next town over from Old Orchard Beach. She spent her summers as a child on this beach and dreamed of owning a property nearby. We have 4 children who have spent their summers here at our beach house. They absolutely love coming up to Old Orchard Beach, each summer. We all have fond memories. Enjoying the beach, walking into town - either Old Orchard Beach or Ocean Park. Two polar opposite towns; one loud and busy, the other a sleepy, dry town. Our property is located just 2 or 3 blocks from Ocean Park, just 50 yards in from the beach!
If there is one thing I highly recommend all of our guests do while they visit, that is to wake up early and watch the sunrise on the beach. Bring your coffee with you and your phone, you can take some amazing photos. The best photos I have taken are when I walk down the beach 1/3 of a mile, toward the pier and take photos from underneath or just next to the pier. With the sun rising in the background, the ocean and the legs of the pier in the foreground, your photos will turn out spectacular.. I absolutely love this experience. We are touched when our guests share some of their photos with us!

If there is one thing I highly recommend all of our guests do while they visit, that is to wake up early and watch the sunrise on the beach. Bring your coffee with you and your phone, you can take some amazing photos. The best photos I have taken are when I walk down the beach 1/3 of a mile, toward the pier and take photos from underneath or just next to the pier. With the sun rising in the background, the ocean and the legs of the pier in the foreground, your photos will turn out spectacular.. I absolutely love this experience. We are touched when our guests share some of their photos with us!

Most tourists who come to Maine in the summer return each year. The beaches are breath-taking. You can walk for miles and really let your mind wonder! While the water is not comparable to the temperatures of the water in the Caribbean, the wake is mild and child-friendly, most of the time...
The beaches are wide enough and long enough that you're not trampled on by other tourists. They are clean and easy to walk on. We enjoy this part of town, as it is quiet, residential, and little, to no traffic, whatsoever!
You really don't need a vehicle if you're staying at one of our properties, with the beach right in front of us, and the Downtown area, a pleasant 15 minute walk, it makes this vacation so relaxing, not having to sit in traffic.

Take your coffee, your phone and your sunglasses with you, kids too, if you can get them up, you will see the most amazing sunrise!! It is truly an amazing experience.
We enjoy this section of town as we are so close to Ocean Park. The Soda Fountain is one of our favorite breakfast places to visit. We typically sit outside, on their veranda, and watch people walk on by. The owner & staff are all extremely kind & very friendly.
Other things to do with the kids:
Fun Town USA - theme park
Splash Town USA - water park (they are attached to each other. The park is located in Saco, the town next door.
Aquaboggan theme park. More suitable for younger children. Also located in Saco.
Palace Playland - you can walk to. It is a fun themepark with amusements. It is located in front of the pier. A very pleasant 15 minute walk!
Pirates Cove - mini golf. This place is a fun favorite for my family. It is an easy 10 minute walk, it is open in the day & at night.
The Memorial Park has basketball & tennis courts and a fun playground for your younger children.

Our family is extremely fond of this property as it has years and years of amazing history. Prior to the mid 1850's this was all farmland. In 2022 our family purchased the property (Victorian house & cottages) and changed the name to Odessa By The Sea. The property sits on Odessa Ave & Reggio Ave, / cross street, Seaside Ave. in a quiet, residential, pine grove just a few feet from the beach, next to Ocean Park.
In 2009 our family purchased a beach house one street over from the cottages, on Odena Ave, and re-built the property. It is a six-bedroom beach house with the most amazing front & side yard. Our children have been extremely fortunate to have grown up, spending their summers here in Old Orchard Beach, on the most incredible beach on the East Coast! Every summer we would walk by the cottages as we headed into Ocean Park. We would meet many cottage guests over the years, and discovered that many of them were returning guests, some for an entire generation or two! As soon as we learned about the property being for sale, we decided to purchase it, so as to further cement our family name and business name within this community that we love so much.
Other than having 7 other cottages just a few feet away, (one additional two-bedroom cottage and six, one-bedroom cottages) whereby friends or extended family members can stay, this property, a stand-alone cottage sits just a few feet from the most amazing beach. Pine trees are scattered throughout our property, providing some shade in the afternoon sun, if needed.
Our cottages are away from the hustle and bustle of Downtown Old Orchard Beach, but close enough, that you can walk down there within 15 minutes. Our properties are Ideal for a family getaway, or a small group of friends, to rent. Multiple families or large groups of friends may be extremely interested in booking with us as we have recently acquired 8 additional two-bedroom condos just 1 block away, as well as a 4 bedroom condo behind these condos.
