This newly built home is an absolute gem. The guest quarters are accessed by a private entry and are located in the entire upstairs portion of this lovely home. Relax in the comfort and luxury of the upscale amenities and finishes as you bask in the stunning views of the creek from the ample windows or your private balcony.

Although the upstairs guest house and balcony afford plenty of privacy, guests are welcome to enjoy all of the outdoor amenities this gorgeous property has to offer. From sprawling covered decks, a complete outdoor kitchen and every type of grill imaginable. Lounge by the creek or savor the park-like beauty of the immaculately landscaped yard. No matter what activities you have planned for your stay, you are perfectly located to enjoy the best of what Wimberley has to offer at The Wimberley House!

The apartment is as advertised, but…This was supposed to be a quiet romantic weekend for my wife and I, but within 15 minutes, we realized that was not what we were going to have. We understood that the tenants of the main house would be on site (as per the listing), but as soon as we walked through the door, their dog started barking. Though it didn’t last long, it was clear that we could hear everything happening in the main house below. We heard the dog bark, the TV get turned on, their conversation, and someone cleaning up the kitchen in the main house.It’s very hard to have a quiet romantic weekend in those circumstances, and even more when my wife felt the need to whisper so we could talk to each other privately. We left after 20 minutes realizing we would not be able to get a refund or another place in Wimberley on such short notice (Spring Break in Texas…).If we were just looking for a place to crash, this would have been ok for us, but if you’re looking for a quiet place to be alone with someone for a few days, I suggest you look elsewhere.

Came down for a visit for my birthday, toured several of the local distilleries and had dinner in town at a couple of restaurants, great little town and the location of the VRBO property was outstanding!!

What a wonderful weekend enjoying this beautiful property. The owners are so welcoming!!! We felt right at home! Perfect location close to everything but far enough to be able to enjoy nature. Perfect split floorplan so each bedroom is private. So happy we found this beautiful home and we will be back soon!

beautiful home in hill country

We loved our stay at the Wimberley house. It is very spacious and clean. Loved that each bedroom had on suite bathroom. Had coffee on the porch overlooking the creek each morning, even saw some wildlife. Enjoyed sitting around the campfire at night. Great location - short walk into town and close to some great Hill Country wineries and attractions. We enjoyed our stay!

Nice place to stay close to the main Wimberly hot spots

Visited during Spring Break 2023 and although the weather was not great that week, we were able to visit all the main attractions which were all close by. The upstairs apartment was convenient and within walking distance to shops and restaurants. A nice place to stay if you like to stay indoors or get out and see the sights of the town. Briefly met the owners who live downstairs and were very nice and we were warmly welcomed. Overall, a very nice play to stay near downtown Wimberly.

Nice Place

Very nice place! - it seems well built and well maintained. You have to press lock button on the key pad after the code to engage the lock. That detail was not in the check-in instructions and should be (even though there was info about how to jiggle the handle etc.) but a quick text and we were all set within 5 minutes. The front door and interior staircase area are very narrow but has a hand rail on the bottom set of stairs. So getting luggage, ice chests up and down is tight but manageable. I personally feel there should be photos of the staircase sections on the listing. Great location and plenty of parking for at least six vehicles however we were not permitted to park on premises to walk to Blue Hole around 2pm even though the platform correspondence said to check back on check-in day. There was NEVER a response to that inquiry. It would have been so much more convenient to park at the rental especially seeing the amount of parking available. The creek in the backyard is so cool and the trees are beautiful! We walked to town via the nature path and it wasn't too bad even in the heat. This apartment has a lot of personal items (family photos, kids desk, wine fridge, China cabinet, furniture) that seemed unnecessary to the rental but overall it was a great place to stay and probably one of the cleanest I've ever stayed in. There is new construction going on next door but we were not disturbed over the weekend.

Beautiful view of Cypress Creek

Such a cute and comfortable place in a gorgeous setting. It was the perfect place for our girls’ trip. It’s so close to Wimberley that we could have walked. We loved sitting on the balcony while drinking our coffee in the morning. We even saw a deer and a hawk across the creek. My only complaint is that there wasn’t enough toilet paper for 4 women. Bring your own!

Amazing Getaway!

This luxury apartment totally exceeded our expectations! The location is amazing and you can easily walk to Blue Hole or downtown Wimberley. It's very clean and exactly as described. As others have mentioned, you can hear everything the owners are saying, so I assume they could hear everything we were saying. They also have a dog that barks pretty consistently when they're not there. We're dog people, so we didn't mind it but others might. We will definitely stay there again!

Great location

Great setup for 2 couples especially, very comfortable and clean with a cool backyard. Met one of the owners going in and out and he was very nice to chat with. A couple of things to consider... Might bring your own Keurig K-Cups if you like a certain coffee, cream and sweetener as well. Also, check County website for burn bans in effect if that’s a biggy for you. Overall, great rental! Note: in the BR to the right, try to stop that entertainment center from creaking when walking in the bedroom at night, hard to sneak to the kitchen without making noise :)

The house was perfect for my birthday! The owners were so nice and helpful. It was close to town. I had a little trouble carrying things down the stairs to go down to the creek., but everything else was great.

Relaxing get-away and perfect location

We loved our stay at The Wimberley House. The accommodations were clean and well-maintained, the owners were friendly and helpful without being intrusive, and the location was absolutely perfect! The five minute walk downtown through shaded trails along the creek was super convenient. The one minute walk to Blue Hole was even better (don't forget to make reservations in advance.) But the best part is Cypress Creek in the backyard - we spent most of our time lounging in the water, under the huge Cypress trees!

Right on the water...perfect for two couples. Rooms are identical at opposite ends of the house. Fire pit, balcony and river sitting right out your back door. Close to town and next door to the blue hole.

Quiet and relaxing

The second floor of this home with separate private entrance is a great setup and well designed for two couples. The setting was nice overlooking the creek and we really enjoyed relaxing around the fire pit. Living area and bathrooms were spacious. Would definitely recommend this place.

Was not my style

Didnt like the fact that it was just the top half, felt awkward. Bed was hard as a rock and could hear everything going on downstairs which means they could hear us. Didnt use any of the outside stuff because it was right outside the owners window. Had to go around the home to get to the back which seems inconvenient.
