Welcome to The Butterfly Escape: A Unique and Cozy Retreat in the Heart of Geneva
Originally known as The Old Beach Stone Cottages, we are deeply grateful to Jim and Catherine for entrusting us with these four beautiful cottages. Their decision gave us the opportunity to create something truly special and share it with others. We're excited to introduce you to The Butterfly Escape, a cottage inspired by a personal story and designed with care by Karen.
Located just 190 steps from the vibrant strip of Geneva, this charming retreat is the perfect destination for a relaxing family getaway or a fun-filled girls' night out. The Butterfly Escape is named after a special blue butterfly that holds deep meaning for Karen, reminding her of her father, and the design reflects that connection with nature. Each of our cottages tells a unique story, and we hope you'll find as much joy in this space as we did in bringing it to life.

Step inside to find a spacious dressing room and two luxurious queen-sized beds, dressed in soft linens and cozy pillows. The tranquil space offers a perfect balance of elegance and relaxation. Whether you’re gearing up for a day of exploration or unwinding after a day of adventure, The Butterfly Escape ensures a restful and rejuvenating stay.

Our open-concept living area is designed for both relaxation and connection. The inviting living room features a pull-out sofa bed for additional sleeping space, while the fully equipped kitchenette allows for easy meal preparation. Large windows create a bright, airy atmosphere, making the space feel like home. Enjoy complimentary morning coffee, tea, sugar, creamer, honey, and more to start your day, or unwind by the fire pit in the evening.

**"Since 2015, we’ve proudly been a part of the Geneva community and have made countless memories camping at Willow Lake. After falling in love with the area, we decided to open KCD Cozy Cottages so others could experience the joy and serenity of Geneva too.
Each cottage holds a special theme that represents cherished memories for our family. Celeste’s Rustic Cottage celebrates her love for the outdoors and the fond memories of her childhood spent in nature. David’s cottage reflects his farm roots and his love for hunting—not as sport, but as a way to provide for his family. It’s a tradition he passed down to our daughter, Celeste, and together, they continue to create lasting memories. Karen’s cottage is inspired by the blue butterfly she saw the day her father passed away, symbolizing love, loss, and remembrance. And of course, Oreo Cottage is named after our beloved dog, who has been by our side through thick and thin, comforting us in the hardest times.
Our Grandmother Marge, once fearful of dogs due to childhood trauma, grew to love Oreo after staying with us—showing that even the deepest fears can be overcome with time, patience, and love.
We are excited to embark on this journey together and invite you to be a part of our story. We encourage you to capture as many moments as possible with your family and share them on our Facebook page—we’d love to see the memories you create here!
