The Tillery Barndo - Two bedrooms/loft, dock, flat lot, spa, trampoline, golf

This beautiful lakefront property is located just outside the town of Norwood on gorgeous Lake Tillery and beside Piney Point Golf Course. This amazing property is a perfect fit for a couple looking to get away or two families looking for a fun and fulfilling vacation. Outside is a beautiful spacious lawn that will allow everyone to run and play a variety of outdoor games. By the edge of the lawn is our dock fitted with Adirondack chairs, a swing, and water trampoline. Closer to the house is a sheltered sitting area as well as a five person hot tub/spa that is enjoyable for all times of the year. You will notice that our tritoon boat is in dock and while we do not rent this out to guests there is the possibility of boating excursions offered by the owner. Rates will vary depending upon request but we will gladly take guests for something as simple as an enjoyable boat ride to water tubing.

Inside is a cozy and large sitting area near the smart TV on the wall. We have spectrum cable for legacy TV and the ability to log on to your favorite apps. Besides the comfy couches is a fun interchangeable ping pong/pool table for excitement and competition. For dining we have a spacious kitchen area for those who enjoy to cook as well as two sitting areas to accommodate large and small groups.

For sleeping we have two large bedrooms with king size beds, the main bathroom is connected to a spacious bathroom with walk in shower and the secondary bedroom is beside a bathroom with walk in shower also. Above the secondary bedroom is a loft with one bunk bed, three double beds and one futon to accommodate those parties with more people.

Lastly, our lake house is close to many dining venues as well as outdoor attractions. For golfers Piney Point Golf Course is just down the street from the location and this course is open to the public. A few miles away are restaurants in Norwood, Mt. Gilead and Albemarle. If you enjoy a beautiful view while sipping local wine, Stony Mountain Vineyards is open to the public with gorgeous views of Lake Tillery and the Uwharrie Mountains. Speaking of mountains we are about a twenty minute ride from the Uwharrie Mountains as well as Morrow Mountain where people enjoy to fish, hike and trail ride with horses and four wheel drive vehicles.
I certainly hope you will come and stay at our barndo and the memories that will last you a lifetime.

The owner Josh was easily accessible to communicate with and answer any questions we had leading up to and during our stay. The property and amenities were awesome and we enjoyed all of them during out stay. The dock with kayaks and life jackets available was convenient to get out on the water as well as fish from. The hot tub and fire pit allowed us to relax while enjoying the views of the lake. The house has a brewery vibe and offers plenty of additional entertainment; we played ping pong, pool, board games, and completed a puzzle. Food Lion was a quick trip for groceries as well. Would recommend a stay here for anyone looking for a lakefront retreat.

Everything was great! House had everything we needed. The kids had a great time. Location was nice. House was spacious, the pool table and hot tub were great amenities. I enjoyed the fire pit as well. Communication from our host was great! We really enjoyed our little weekend trip!

Amazing yard for family gathering, football, wiffle ball, running, swinging, fishing, and fire pit! The kids loved the hot tub and pool/ping pong table and we were so comfortable in the kitchen and ALL gathering on the extra large dining table, island table and couch area to play games! The loft was great for the kids and the king bedrooms were very comfortable too! We had such a great time over Thanksgiving!

What a perfect slice of peaceful relaxation. We stayed at the Barndo for four nights and quickly found we didn’t want to leave. Super comfy living room with cozy sectional and big screen tv. We enjoyed the pool table inside and the ring toss game outside. The kitchen had everything one needs to cook indoors or out. The rolling lawn was perfect for the cornhole we brought. Our three year old enjoyed the netted circular tree swing and looking for fish from the dock. The street was very quiet this time of year and we relishes the solitude and listening to music around the fire pit in the evenings. There was plenty of space to spread out and I’d highly recommend for a larger family or small group of friends. Excellent stay overall!

Host was outstanding! We will definitely stay again at this location. Understanding that rental properties are a challenge (to say the least), for both renter and owner. This property is awesome with just the right amount of eclectic to keep it interesting. As for the structure, it is a rental property that is kept in good condition, very minor things that could be addressed to make this an over and over again rental for folks / families looking for that perfect spot to gather.

The uniqueness of this property made it an awesome stay. Hot tub was great and the yard with dock access to the lake was perfect. We stayed with friends and the open floor plan allowed for everyone to do what they wanted or just sit an talk with eachother. Our stay was short but definately reccomend this to everyone. Property owner was extremely flexible, communications were outstanding and even provided local reccomendations.

Check in was a breeze. But be careful if pulling a boat driveway is a little tight close to the house. The inside is nicely decorated, kitchen had everything we needed, pleanty of space thought out the whole home. Perfect flat lot, hot tub, fire pit, games, gas grill. Boat dock is a little tricky be careful of driftwood. Host was amazing very helpful!!

A Nearby Escape

We chose the Barndominium as it looked like a fun and inviting place to spend a few days as a mid summer respite and it did not disappoint! Our host, Josh, was fantastic from the moment of booking until our departure. He patiently answered all of my questions before we arrived, and in an extremely timely manner. He was also engaged with us through our stay to make sure that we were making the most of the amenities and all that the barndominium had to offer. The home itself is a wonderful mix of cozy and open spaces! We had a great time cooking together and playing games in the large living room area. And the beds were comfy and plentiful! We also love the fact that we could head straight down to the dock and watch the sunrise as well as use the kayaks provided to tool around on Lake Tillery. All in all, it was a fabulous stay and will definitely be back!

Great family spot!

We had a great stay at Joshua’s Barndominium! The house was the perfect size for 2 families. The kids had a blast fishing off the dock, jumping on the water trampoline and playing wiffle ball in the yard! The beds were comfortable and we loved having all the indoor/outdoor seating options available! Definitely a place we would return to for a longer trip next time!

Would highly recommend

Owners were great and super easy to work with, checked in through text multiple times to ensure we had everything we needed. Really neat property on the lake, right beside the golf course, quiet community. Barndominium layout has lots of open floor space. We hosted dinner totaling 3 families and still had plenty of space inside and out. Full recommendation from us!
