Walk in and it feels like a home, not a rental — the kind of space where people naturally spread across floors and settle in. The dining table seats everyone at once, which matters when 12 people want to eat breakfast together. The kitchen handles group meal prep. Missouri Botanical Garden is a 5-minute walk — 79 acres with the Climatron conservatory and Japanese Garden. Tower Grove Park is 10 minutes on foot. South Grand's 40+ international restaurants are 8 minutes away on foot. Downtown, the Gateway Arch, City Museum, and The Magic House are 10-15 minutes by car. We enjoy staying at historic homes in great neighborhoods and this was one of them! The only complaint we have are that the beds are uncomfortable. The addition of a mattress topper might be helpful? We gave this rental three stars because the quality of sleep is an important aspect of renting a VRBO.

Great place for a family getaway!

We were in town for a family wedding and loved this place. It was so close to everything and it was great to have the extra space and parking that hotels don't provide.

We loved our stay at this house in St. Louis. The house easily accommodated 4 families and met all of our needs. We would absolutely stay here again. The house is in a fabulous location. Most everything we did (all major sights) was within 10-15 min max from the house, with a majority being 10 min or less. The house is next to a lovely cafe and within walking distance to Missouri Botanical Gardens. The neighborhood was safe. There were two parking spots reserved for the house but plenty of street parking.

House was clean, parking is tight for larger vehicles and location was ideal. The second floor was hot, even with temperature turned down on thermostat. Older home so noisy floors, etc. Great decor and quiet neighborhood. There is no fenced in back yard.

STL getaway

We chose STL because it was central to our families. Our grandsons were on spring break which is why we visited this time of year. The house was very clean and very central to so many activities. We ended up have pretty good weather considering it can literally be any season at this time. Highly recommend this property.

Fabulous house

We loved the home; built in early 1900’s. So charming!! Our littles loved the older hardwood floors. So well decorated; not overdone. Quiet neighborhood, walking distance to the Botanical Gardens. Cafe across the street is good. Easy to get around. Definitely recommend for families.

Perfect for Thanksgiving with family

We rented both the Left and Right side of the Shaw property for our family and extended family. Both places were clean and accommodating. The beds were very comfortable! The neighborhood is cute and has a number of wakable restaurants and coffee shops. We will definitely stay here again!

Great house for a Family

This a a beautiful older home and had plenty of room for the 10 of us. It was very conveniently located to all the places we wanted to see. It's in a lovely neighborhood. There were two parking spots in the back and then safe, available parking on the street.
